For those of you who are collecting cards and want to keep them relatively pristine, let me suggest card sleeves. Looking on
Amazon I saw 100 sleeves for under $10. There are plenty of varieties:
Soft sleeves, flimsy but effective, and usually the cheapest. They don't protect your card from easy bending.
Hard sleeves, usually called deck protectors, with a clear back or opaque colored back. These are stiff, and give the most protection against creasing and bending. They are thicker and heavier, with one side being a stiff plastic and the other side being like a soft sleeve.
Both are slick, so holding onto a stack of them can be problematic. Magic card decks are usually 60 cards, and one good bump to the table and your sleeved deck slides and topples.

They aren't waterproof, but only one end of the sleeve is open, so it helps against drips to the face of the card. The front is usually glossy, so the SotMK cameras might have an issue if you hold the sleeve wrong.
You can also get binder sheets like for baseball cards, with nine slots on a page.
I will probably get some hard sleeves once I get some cards.
