Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Card List

For those of you who are collecting cards and want to keep them relatively pristine, let me suggest card sleeves. Looking on Amazon I saw 100 sleeves for under $10. There are plenty of varieties:

Soft sleeves, flimsy but effective, and usually the cheapest. They don't protect your card from easy bending.

Hard sleeves, usually called deck protectors, with a clear back or opaque colored back. These are stiff, and give the most protection against creasing and bending. They are thicker and heavier, with one side being a stiff plastic and the other side being like a soft sleeve.

Both are slick, so holding onto a stack of them can be problematic. Magic card decks are usually 60 cards, and one good bump to the table and your sleeved deck slides and topples. :) They aren't waterproof, but only one end of the sleeve is open, so it helps against drips to the face of the card. The front is usually glossy, so the SotMK cameras might have an issue if you hold the sleeve wrong.

You can also get binder sheets like for baseball cards, with nine slots on a page.

I will probably get some hard sleeves once I get some cards.

Any decent comic book store would sell deck protectors. Could even find ones with decretive backs and such.

I can't wait to get down there and start collecting but my next trip is not till june. Maybe I can get one of you locals to start collecting for me. :-) lol

Edit,

No really,,,, send me your doubles, I will give you postage. HA

Martin,

The wiki has a nice set-up! Are you working on it, or is just indebted to you? Also, thanks for the suggestion about sleeves!:goodvibes

I think Martin just found it, but I could be wrong.

If your interested in a wiki I don't mind setting one up if you feel like writing one. I have some actual web space instead of the free services.

I am in the process of uploading all the images I have now to make available to people who want them. Should have links for everyone tonight.

If you want to give me write access to your google spreadsheet then you could make another tab for each card that I could use to add all the links to the images.

I merely found those two Wikis (or rather, my Google Alert found them). I haven't done editing on any of them, and wasn't really planning to.

And I wasn't trying to steer anyone towards Amazon for sleeves... just knew that they would have a good selection I could find in a hurry. Walmart/Target/etc have sleeves, toy/comic book/game stores have sleeves, etc etc! Lots of local options.

Actually, Mike, I don't want to add the images to my spreadsheet. I'm worried that Disney will come down on the sites showing pictures of full sets, since the images are copyrighted. Maybe they won't! My spreadsheet is more for data gathering and strategy. I might change my mind later, once the game is in full swing and we know all of the rules. :wizard:

its up to you of course but keep in mind we would not be adding images to your sheets, just links to the images on my hosting site. If anything disney would ask me to take them down, not you for the links.

But again, its all good, I will just post the links as a reply to this thread for anyone who is interested in them.

For anyone interested, images for cards I have can be found here.

NICE!! I still need 8,9,37,45. (I know you have 37 & 45 but I don't think the image quality will work in the game.) Just sent you #7. Almost there!! :cheer2:

I'm also up to 33 actual spell cards not counting duplicates!! :goodvibes

If you happen to find better images of any I have uploaded let me know so I can update.

So looks like I now have all the Card Images. Will have a pdf posted soon.

Any new info?

I have rumored info only. My husband was in line with my son at the firestation. Behind some cm that were in line at the Sorc. Training at the fire station. They said the high cards are no longer available. Each one had about an inch thick of cards with them. They were trading with each other in line too.

Hoping my son can find people to trade with too. He is starting to get duplicates, but still has alot of cards missing.

While we were told they may only give 1 map and 5 cards per family, the person after me on Saturday had 5 key cards. The cm asked how she had 5 keys and she pointed to herself, dh, and 3 very small kids in a stroller. He said oh ok, and gave her 25 cards. So it seems that the actual rules vary from person to person, family to family.

Awesome!! I have a couple people that PMd me to send my files when complete but I am still a couple short. I'm sure I can find them just need to dig a little.

Just heard that cards 61-70 have been pulled from rotation and will be sold starting Wednesday (official opening). I can't wait!!! I don't have any of those. Once I can purchase I will only be 16 cards from a complete set.

Nothing much. @DisneySorcerers has the best info, and it's been mostly window/prop updates. :) In an effort to cut down on lines at portals, they've been trimming an encounter from some battles. Cards 61-70 are no longer being handed out. Some players are getting moved to Medium when they complete all of Easy, but no documentation/rules/hints/etc.

Congrats on getting all of the images. :)

That fits in with what my husband overheard. My son needs 61-70 and 20-some cards in between.

Are they going to sell them in packs of 61-70 in order or just pot luck?

This is the first I have heard about this new game....don't know how I missed out on previous conversations! Sounds like fun...we will be there in March and will definitely pick up cards.

I just got back my trip and had the chance to play Sorcerers a few times while there. My husband and I really enjoyed it. We did run into lines 2 or 3 people deep at some of the portals a few times, but it moved quickly and was a lot of fun.

Some things we observed:

When we signed up the first time on Mon 2/13, they asked for only 1 of our park passes (we used his) and gave us only 1 set of 5 cards already inserted in a map. We played that morning and on the way out of the park I went in alone with my card and got another set of 5 cards and my own key card. From then on we went in together with 2 key cards and got 2 sets of cards each day we were there. I think they were trying to keep portal lines down by only requesting one pass to register for the game in groups that are playing together.

There was some trading going on, but without regard to "rarity" - we (and most others we met) just wanted to trade our duplicates for anything we didn't have yet. We met a few people with large piles of cards already.

We play Magic:The Gathering, so we're very familiar with deck boxes and card sleeves. One of the first things my hubby said about the game was he expected to see people with sleeves and deck boxes - and sure enough on Thursday we ran into one person with a sleeved deck!

Our training did mention you can use 2 cards at once, although it didn't seem to work when we tried it in our easy-mode game.

The key cards seem to be wiped after a day or two during the testing. We played Monday, Wednesday our progress was auto-remembered, but on Thursday we had to explain what bosses we had beaten so we could have them ticked off by the CM - and we still wound up refighting a boss we had forgotten to mention.

They were running testing until an hour or so before park close, however the Fantasyland portals shut down for about an hour before Wishes and 30 minutes or so after because the two portals are so close to the castle. The cast member told us the "whole game" was closed until after Wishes - but we headed to Adventureland and saw people playing there just a few minutes later, so I think it's only Fantasyland that closes.

I also noticed that Monday and Wednesday when we played we used all 5 portals in a given land, but on Thursday (which was decently high crowds, so much so they added a second MSEP and extended closing by an hour!) we were only using 4 out of 5.

Overall it was a lot of fun, and I can't wait to play again when next we return to the World!
