I'm in loving itthis will be our WHOLE first family trip in 24days!!! we took our older kids a few years ago for the day, and left our then 18mth old behind too.
FWIw, we watched YoungerNephew when he was just 2 and his older brother(5), parents, and aunt and uncle were off to WDW. He turned out just fine...![]()
I'm here too! Can't wait to hear about the trip! I keep thinking about how I'd love to take my oldest on a solo trip, but I can't figure it out. Today's her birthday (she's 7) and we're taking her to the American Girl Place in Chicago as soon as school is out. And our DD4 isn't going along! But we figure that she'll get her turn when she turns 7, right?
I forgot you guys were doing OKW this time. You are going to LOVE IT!!This is our favorite. POR was nice and we liked it too but we live in La so it's not like we don't see the foliage on a regular basis.

I love how quiet and spread out and still laid back OKW is. Plus, I just like that "palm tree, beachy-type" theming.![]()
Looking forward to tagging along for your adventure! I think it is great that you are just taking your DS. I have 3 kids and am a HUGE believer in doing special things with them one on one (or just one with both Mom and Dad). We do a ton of things the 5 of us but when we can do something with just one of them at a time, it can be so special. In my house I made a rule that when you turn 12 you get a Mom and Me trip to Disney (I am crafty, it gives me 3 future trips to plan! LOL!).
Your son will remember this always and your dd won't remember it at all, it is the perfect time to do such a thing!

This trip sounds like it will be a lot of fun!! I can't wait untill my kids are at a good age to start doing alone trips with mommy and daddy! I just think that would be one of the best gifts for a birthday!!Can't wait to read more!!
Okay... Here's the situation...my parents went away on a week's vacation and I took the keys to my mom's new Porsche...Sorry.. busted into a little Fresh Prince for a moment.
Would YOU like to see his face? Here it is.. he's so handsome!
Sometimes when I'm talking to people in real life, I want to call my husband "DH".Does anyone else feel the urge to jump into Dis-lingo and have to remind themselves that they aren't on the Disboards and they need to speak as such? Just thought that was funny and wondered if anyone else did that!!

Count me in!!! I enjoyed your anniversary trip report very much (can't remember if I posted --may have been a lurker!) So I'm excited to find another one. And something about a surprise trip just makes it all the more special. I hope to do that someday so I'll be filing away ideas!!
Would they mind? Ah, well..... of course not! Can't go wrong w/ a little Fresh Prince![]()
YES!!! I find myself doing that all the time.![]()
OK, I've seen you around the DIS.
Gotta join in the fun over here.
Surprise trips are especially fun.![]()
