SOOZE's Summer Fling-Mostly PICS! Update 11/15 p.7 LINK TO NEW PTR!

Nothing like a downpour to heat things up, I agree it seems so much hotter after the rain!
Shae looks so darn cute with the fairies! I think she needed some wings too!

Her smile is beyond words :cutie: Talk about a poster child for Disney World!

Enjoying your trip report :thumbsup2

Aw, such cute photos of Shae and the fairies!!! Do we get to see photos of the boys' haircuts?

Denise
You know, we never took pictures of just the hair cuts! But you'll see them both in the next update.

I would like to see the boys' haircut also.

They both got 'buzz' cuts... they always do! But no confetti or color or anything fun:sad2: I think Matt was just so over waiting FOREVER to get the haircut, he lost a bit of the magic!

What great pix of Shae. She looks so happy.

Just how hot was it?

It really wasn't that HOT.. just VERY VERY muggy! Sweat was dripping, but it was due to the wet air. And that rain did NOT help!

It was so hot after that rain! It's so different than here in Indiana, where a rain usually cools things down about ten degrees!

Next Halloween, for sure.. she'll be a little Tink, complete with wings!

Thank you so much! I love how willing she is to pose and smile! Hope that doesn't change too soon!princess:

After another wonderful morning and afternoon of fun, we returned to SSR to get ready for our dinner in the castle. This was the first time we were ever doing this, so we were excited. We were also excited because the shuttle was going to attempt another launch just before our ressies.

Here is Shae in her Cindy-gear:

And her royal footman:
P1040657.jpg

We had some time to kill so we browsed the shops:
P1040665.jpg

We parked in front of the castle to wait for the launch:
P1040668.jpg

Shae took the extra time to practice her princess wave and kiss:
P1040671.jpg

P1040672.jpg

Wouldn't you know it, the launch was scrubbed again...

So into the castle we went! Here are some great shots of Shaelyn with Cinderella. My heart was bursting!!

P1040675.jpg

This Cinderella was a DREAM! She was absolutely perfect and completely in character. We got together for a family shot. She leaned over to Tyson, asked about his birthday button, then said (in the ULTIMATE Cindy voice), "I hope ALL your birthday dreams come true." Tyson blushed from ear to ear!
P1040677.jpg

Up to the dining room we went. I was shocked at how SMALL it is! No wonder it's so hard to get reservations here!

Kids in their seats:

The confetti on our table:

To give you an idea of where we were seated:

Soon, the kids were equipped with props.
Shaelyn looking princess-er-ific with her wand:

Tyson looking.. well... like a BOY with his wand. Daddy played along:

Soon the little mice friends came around:

And, of course, Fairy Godmother:
P1040686.jpg

Here she is with the couple behind us who got ENGAGED while we were eating. It was PRECIOUS! The CM brought out a covered tray. When he opened it, there was a glass slipper on the tray with the ring in it. The guy got down on his knee and proposed. Awesome!!

Ty got a birthday cupcake:

Matt's meal (who knows what it was called? Some kind of pasta dish):

My meal (again... no clue.. some kind of pork with mushrooms?):

We enjoyed the experience a lot, especially the quality time with Cinderella at the beginning. But I was confused! I thought we were supposed to see several princesses, not just Cindy and her mice friends. I actually preferred the Akershus experience. We are going again to the castle during spring break, but will be doing breakfast instead. We'll see how it's different!

We made our way over to Epcot for Illuminations, then headed to bed for our last full day together.

Coming up... breakfast with Mickey under the monorail!

Shae looked so very adorable in her Cinderella dress! You got a very pretty Cinderella too. When we ate at the castle our Cinderella was, well,.....
You get the message, right?
I can't wait to hear about breakfast at the castle, are there supposed to be more princesses?

Beautiful pictures! Shae looks so happy! How cool to see the couple get engaged!

CRt is many princesses at breakfast and lunch-- typically Jasmine, Aurora, Snow White and Belle in the dining room. Cinderella is always downstairs for all three meals there.

Just loving this Sooze. The pics of Shae with Tink and Fawn and Cindy are ADORABLE. Did I miss it, but were there pics of the boys hairdo's from the Barbershop? Glad the rain only lasted for a bit. That Cinderella sounded awesome. Glad you made it over for Illuminations, but I would expect no less ;). CAn't wait for more! Thanks for sharing with us.

I always get so disappointed when the princesses aren't as gorgeous as they should be! Certainly Disney gets enough beautiful young ladies applying for those jobs, no?:confused3

I guess all of the princesses show up for breakfast and lunch, but not dinner. I did not know that.... lesson learned!

I, too, thought CRT was a princess breakfast?

Great pix. Shae looks so happy!

We were there for dinner, not breakfast.. so I guess that's where we went wrong. Already have CRT booked for breakfast for spring break 2010!:thumbsup2

The engagement was fantastic to witness!! I told Tyson to make sure he watched closely! :teacher:

Thanks! Can't wait to try it again in the Spring during breakfast. I was sad that we didn't get to see all of the princesses.... tho our Cinderella was truly fantastic!!

I didn't take 'official' "after" pictures of the boys. We bailed on them while they were in the shop, so we weren't there when they came out. Plus, they didn't get any bells, whistles, or Mickey head confetti... just a buzz. You can see their haircuts in the family picture with Cindy!

We always make time for Illuminations! Of course!!:goodvibes

Shae looks so adorable in her Cinderella dress, and I love the picture with Tyson blushing! Your dinner looked good, too!

Thanks so much! We're going to try to use that dress one more time next spring... then we might need to break down and buy a new one... maybe Aurora next?

The dinner was very good!!

I just found your report today and it is great so far... Your kids are adorable - and you princess is truly a princess! We have never eaten at the castle either but I thought it was all the princesses too. And shame on you for not eating a Crystal Palace - that is our favorite breakfast spot. Maybe you can make it next trip - it is lots of fun with Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore - and the dance they do with the kids...

Can't wait for more on your trip - We are thinking about doing DVC but just haven't taken the plunge yet. December will be our 2nd trip this year so I am sure we will check it out when we are there!

:cool1:Welcome! Glad you found us! I can't believe we've never done the Crystal Palace either! It is on the list for our Spring Break trip in '10 for sure!

You should definitely check out the DVC presentation, even if you don't end up doing it, it's a fun time. And if you DO end up buying DVC, if you need a referral family, just let me know.. I'd be glad to have you drop our name...:rolleyes1

It was my little guy's 9th birthday today! After pulling myself together after the realization that this was his last single-digit birthday, we all made our way to Chef Mickey's for a birthday breakfast!

ANOTHER birthday cupcake... sheesh!

We had fun seats. They were in a smaller section, near windows, and right under the monorail. So every few minutes we'd hear (and feel) the low rumble of the train above us. Very cool!

Goofy time:
P1040708.jpg

Shaelyn's favorite was next. I love this picture because she was literally jumping up and down on that seat in excitement!

And, finally... a HUG!

Tyson jumps in on the Minnie love:

Minnie couldn't get enough of Shae. She hung around for a LONG time. She kept leaning over and kissing Shae... and you could hear her making the kissing noise. It was precious!!

One last kiss for the birthday boy:

It was another wonderful experience at Chef Mickey's. We just love that place!

Just a few more updates to go. We didn't take a lot of pictures this day. Just enjoyed our last day together as a family. Stay tuned to see our family gathering with the UP Characters!! And find out what Tyson spent his birthday gift card on!

Great pictures! Shae's reaction to Minnie is priceless.:goodvibes We love Chef Mickey's, it is a must do for us when we go in June.

The Minnie/Shae time is precious! Uh oh...What did Tyson buy?

Denise
Shaelyn just loves Minnie so much! It was a great moment. Stay tuned... just know, Tyson bought something WE would never spend money on. So he truly appreciated that gift card!

We love Chef Mickey's too!! We've never had a bad experience there!

We were needing some Hollywood Studios time, so we drove over to park at the Beach Club, then hopped a Disney boat to the Studios.

Here is Ty enjoying a relaxing ride on the boat:

And here is Shae enjoying a joyous ride on the boat:
P1040720.jpg

And here is Matt enjoying an exuberant ride on the boat:

A kid-taken shot of the Yacht Club on the way over to DHS:
P1040730.jpg

We visited guest services on our way into the park to get Ty's birthday gift card. I couldn't believe how much that kid got! Since we are APholders, I don't pay attention to how much a kid's ticket it. Let's just say it was more than $50!! Sweet!

He ended up buying some Star Wars figures (which I knew would end up scattered around the house within a few weeks). But his big purchase was a huge Epcot ball that came with figures (Figment, Goofy, Mickey), a Test Track car, and some other 'stuff'. It looked way cool in the box, but when we got it home and took it out, it was NOT good quality AT ALL!! I'm so glad we didn't actually spend money on it!!

Once we hit the studios, Matt and Ty were off to ride Rock n' Roller Coaster. Shae and I took advantage of some cool-down time in the Animation area. We ran into the Incredibles:
P1040733.jpg

We also had time to catch a Beauty and the Beast show:
P1040735.jpg

P1040736.jpg

After the show, we headed back to the animation area to meet the boys and wait for the Up characters:banana:

We just LOVE this movie. Can't wait til it comes out on DVD in a short while!

Here is some art work while waiting:

We waited about twenty minutes. Then got on to the meetin'!
P1040740.jpg

P1040741.jpg

Afterwards, we decided to wait out another TSM line. When we got into the building queue area, we noticed that the 'blocks' on the floor had two very special initials:
P1040743.jpg

P1040744.jpg

(Well, special to Ty and Shae anyway!)

Shae took her nap while we waited in line. UGH.. what a back killer! Matt and I took turns lugging that dead weight around!
P1040745.jpg

We had another FABULOUS ride on TSM... it's definitely a new MUST DO FAVORITE! The boys headed of to catch LMA.. Shae wanted to wait to see Buzz and Woody. That girl is a character ADDICT!

Here she is in the fun photo area while waiting for Buzz and Woody:

We headed over to our last night at Epcot and our customary last night with Illuminations. On our way, we stopped to soak up some warmth in the sand at the BC:
P1040754.jpg

I have no pictures from that night. We just did our normal Epcot thing! Shae wanted NOTHING to do with fireworks during this whole trip. I think I ended up leaving before Illuminations started. I can't wait til this phase is over!

I'll try to get our last update up by the weekend. Matt left on a ME bus at 4am the next morning, but the kids and I squeezed in some more fun at MK. Join me to hear about the MAJOR DRAMA that happened when we tried to start our trek back to IN!!
