Well, I wish I had a bunch of pictures to post of Matt triumphantly crossing the finish line with "Chariots of Fire" playing in the background. I should probably even have a picture of his shiny gold Donald medal. But.... no...
We woke up at 2:45!! ICKY! I dropped him off at the BW by 3:15 so he could catch a bus to the race start. Then I went back to the lame hotel and slept until 7!! My poor man was running his heart out, and I was dreaming away!! It basically boils down to the fact that we were off property. Not only that, but we were rookies, too. We had no idea what the mini was set up like... what the family members could do....etc. Next time he does this, we will make SURE we are on property, and I will definitely be there cheering for him at the end.
So how did he do? He was VERY pleased as he RAN the whole race. He was worried that he'd have to stop or walk... he didn't even have to take a bathroom break

He finished in 2 and a half hours and placed 5,704th. That sounds so funny to say, but it was out of over 12,000 runners... so not too bad!!
Here's the first picture I have of this day.
I checked out of our hotel, checked into SSR. Our room was, obviously, not ready at 9am. So I waited for Matt at the marathon bus stop. He grabbed some food and water, changed into his bathing suit, sat in the hot tub for about 20 minutes, then SLEPT on the pool lounger. When he awoke, he looked at me and said, "This is a little bit of H#!! Yeah!!" That became our quote of the weekend!
We decided to head to DHS while we waited for our room.
Our first stop was food. We grabbed some pizza and a sandwich for Matt.
Here's the view from our corner table:
We decided to watch the Beauty and the Beast show again, but had a while until the next show. Time to check out some Streetmosphere:
We watched these folks for a good half hour. Matt thinks they milk it more when the weather is nice, because they aren't sweltering to death!
Time for Beauty and the Beast. Unfortunately, we found out that Four for a Dollar/ Return2Zero are no longer opening up the show. The CM we talked to made it seem like budget cuts were the reason. He also revealed that they are performing at Sea World now

Shame on Disney... they were AMAZING!
Oh well.. on to the classic tale:
This guy was UNBELIEVABLE... what a VOICE!!
We enjoyed the show very much!
Next, we went to the Animation class. Again, tip for everyone, we walked into the Art store in front of the animation exhibit. There is a door that takes you inside the exhibit. You can bypass the little video (and the big line!) and go right to the fun stuff. Matt and I both laughed when we learned we were drawing Goofy. That's exactly who we did last time. Though, we DID draw him facing a different angle this time. Okay... who's is better?
Next up was LMA show. On our way, we saw that VotLM was about to start and Matt had never seen it. Now, I'm not really a fan. It is SO outdated, but... we went anyway. This is what we BOTH think of the show:
Ariel is cute and her song is beautiful. The blacklight stuff is neat... but that movie is just too complicated to compact into 15 minutes of show. It is just lame. They REALLY need to update that section of the park. We have a few ideas... I'll share some later!
LIGHTS.... MOTORS...... ACTION!
View of ToT from the stands in LMA:
After this, we were done and ready to back HOME to get into the villa.
I'll try to update sometime tomorrow with more (and pictures from our home for the weekend!)
But I'll leave you with that VOL video I promised. Listen to this man SING! The talent at Disney is unparalleled... just amazing!
