It worked!!! I recovered all of the pictures. The only thing that hasn't worked yet are the video clips. But I'm going to keep working on those!!

Thanks Tim! I was thinking the same thing! Nothing is ever really deleted when you hit the delete button, only marked for space to use the next time as needed. SO! if you don't write to the card again, you can recover items off it. Back in the old days of DOS, deleted items were only renamed to a filename with a ?at first spot.

of course, that's back when vinyl records were known to all....

I've enjoyed catching up on your report! Congrat's to Matt on his mini-marathon finish! It looks like you 2 had a really great trip.

When you said you lost all your pictures, I yelled out...."OH, NO!!" DH looked at me weird then went about his business. Then I read the update that Tim wrote about recovering the pics and I yelled out "NO WAY!!" He couldn't stand it, he had to see what the commotion was about. That is TOO COOL. Glad that you got your pictures back.

You guessed it. Not only did she delete the Snow White pic.. she deleted EVERY SINGLE PICTURE AND VIDEO CLIP WE TOOK ON THE TRIP!!

GAH!!!

It worked!!! I recovered all of the pictures.

I have to say, that SSR (although we own there) has not been our favorite. We've felt that it is too far away from everything and too big. But after this trip, we have definitely grown attached. Simply put, it is exquisitely beautiful.!

I have a few more that I still need to upload (taken from the boats to DTD). But, really, it is a gorgeous resort. And the size adds to the beauty. It's just so expansive and ... well... beautiful!! We DID have a car on property, tho, which helped us get places quickly.

Thought I'd share.. and let you know I haven't forgotten the report. I still have many pictures to show you and some stories to share!

You pic's from SSR are gorgeous! We talked about trying it out last time we were there and riding the boat to DTD. The OKW boat stops there on the way. It is really pretty. I think we should stop there and at least walk some of the grounds a bit this time.

I always say I like to just ride on the buses and not have to worry... but having a car is growing on me!

So.. we have a big trip coming up in less than two months. I'd like to finish this up and at least share the rest of the pictures! So here is another chunk for you all!

We slept in the morning after the 1/2 marathon. The full marathon was being run this morning and we have always been warned not to get out and about until at least 10. So, we followed orders!

We finally emerged from our room in time to head over to Epcot for our 11:40 ADRs.

Can you believe.. there were still GOBS and GOBS of runners making their way through the final mile. Matt and I sat on a bench in Mexico and watched them.. for about an hour. Just watching them DYING ... It was scary at times. And what was the MOST scary?!?! The BLOODY NIPPLES!! Oh my gosh! I have NEVER seen anything like it... and they were everywhere!

Don't worry, I didn't take any pictures of them!!

It was neat to see the people who were running for a cause or in memory of someone. I saw several DISgreen shirts and gave them an extra cheer!

We made our way into the big Aztecian pyramid and checked in for lunch. We were seated pretty close to the water, but not on the edge of it, like I was hoping. Oh well! They plopped the chips and salsa on the table and we were in heaven!

Here I am tying my straw wrapper in a knot and ripping it to see if it comes apart. Anyone else do this? I totally do it without even thinking and Matt was making fun of me!

The service was quick and pleasant. The atmosphere was fan-tab-u-lous! Just love the feeling that you are outside at night somewhere far far away!

Look who we ran into! She was there for the runners, but no one was visiting. We walked right up to here! Sweet!

We walked around to International Gateway to catch a bus from BCV to AK. It was time for some Everest, Lion King, and Nemo!! On our way, we stopped to smell the BCV. Yes, I said SMELL! You have to try it... it's fabulous. Here, have a peek:

I guess it's their shirts rubbing and rubbing for hours and hours... and the chilly air in the morning doesn't help!

We caught a bus to Animal Kingdom and immediately figured out how we could see our favorite shows and ride EE at least once. But first... DESSERT!

Then on to Camp Minnie Mickey...

For one of our favorite shows...

We were herded into the theatre and forced into a section.. not that it matters, every seat is great in this 'theatre in the round'. We were anxiously anticipating the opening so we could see who was playing the "king" role... you know, the big bass guy who sings "Be Prepared"? We have our favorite and we call him "SUPER DUDE".

Well, guess what?! Super Dude was there!! He is amazing!!

And even better?!? We happened to be sitting on the end of a row that stuck out a bit. And our section happened to be next to the area where the characters enter and exit. Super Dude came RIGHT UP TO MATT and talked to him.... and shook his hand. It was AWESOME!!

I'll never wash this hand again!

Next Up?

My favorite ride in all of WDW!!! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!

And what's next? Um..... DUH!!!

I didn't take any pictures of the show. Just wanted to sit back and take it all in. But, as always, I just loved it... all of it.... every little bit of it!!

Well, we did our 3 must-dos at AK, so before heading back to SSR to freshen up for MK EMH, we decided to stop by our new DVC home... Animal Kingdom Lodge!

It's a GORGEOUS place, but VERY different atmosphere from what we are used to. Looking forward to staying here to really soak it up!

I played the game of what photo was in what country, even took notes and put them in order bummer!!!
Anyway, let me try to remember what i said. LOVE the update, so glad you were able to get the pics back so we could experience it with you. My friends husband runs marathans so I've been warned of teh bloody nipples, all I can say about that is EWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!! Glad you didn't have pics of that

I was really expecting the worst since I hadn't really seen a good review on here. But we were very pleasantly surprised! I gues it depends on the day and dish. We skipped the boat ride.. I did it by myself while Matt was waiting for Illuminations one night. Just had to see my favorite part with the 'fireworks'. I think I found a hiden Mickey on a boat made from drums. Mabye...

AKL is stunningly beautiful! It just has a different vybe to it that we will need to experience as a resort guest, not just as passers-by! We tried to peek at the DVC construction, but it was really hard to do, especially since we really didn't know the layout of the resort.

If you don't see Nemo this time around, I WILL disown you as a Dis AND Facebook friend.
