All I can say is we have a count down going and CANNOT wait until Nov 7, 2007 at 5:30 am when we leave for WDW!!!!!:

Woo Hoo !!!!:dance3: You folks are going to have fun!!!! 53 and 51 are GREAT ages to do Disney World for the first time. The "older perspective" really plays into the "Disney Magic". I'll guess that the "female" is your wife or at least commited relationship? If so, send the son and his girlfriend over to MGM to ride ToT and RnR while you two hit World Showcase over at Epcot.

I'm 53, DW is 42 and we also grew up with Walt. Being in the place you saw and heard about on TV, Right There in the Middle of it all! It's a Wonder and a Joy! Make sure to check out the "Classic" rides that Walt had a hand in designing. Should bring back many "flash backs" to watching the show :)

Good luck with that "Dreams Come True".

I remember our first trip and I think that was the best. I'll bet you'll enjoy every minute. Have a great time.

:cool1: Woohoo! I totally understand what you mean. I grew up watching the Wonderful World of Disney with my grandpa and more than ANYTHING I wanted to go there. My dream came true (kinda) when I was 16 and got to visit Orlando on a school choir/band trip, but we only had one day in the MK... part of which was spent performing. Epcot was still under construction then.

My dream is really coming true in just over 3 weeks when my husband and I (in our 40's) will be celebrating our 25th anniversary at CSR. 8 glorious nights in the 'World'! :cool1:

Have a wonderful time I think the first time is the most magical so take it all in and take lots of pictures. Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy!

Our first trip was in 1996; my husband and I were both 47 years old. We have been so lucky that we have been every year since. If you have a video camera, make sure you video many of the events as we still watch them over and over again. Those few years at Disney with our son are some of the best memories we have. Now, we are waiting for our granddaughter to reach an age where she will be able to go. Until then, my husband and I will continue to enjoy our wonderful times at WDW. We are definitely hooked on Disney! Enjoy your trip!!:)
