Sonic has arrived in New England - MA.

Or go at some really "off" time :rotfl: as if there were any. One of my neighbors tried to go Wednesday but quit when they realized how long they'd have to wait*. Another neighbor went yesterday around 5 and said it took them about 45 minutes to get into the parking lot. They got there around 5, waited, ate there AND came back with food by 8.

*notably, that the back way he and his friends intended to use, isn't ;)

We got one here and it was fun a few times but I quickly grew tired of paying $22 for not so great chili dogs and burgers.

I just go to Sonic for the ice. Okay I do order a soda in it (Diet Cherry Limeade) but it's really the ice that just tastes sooo good. There's nothing like a big Sonic drink on a hot day.

I think the food really is very mediocre. We stick to the drinks and sometimes the sundaes.

Okay, granted it's Friday - but it's still summer. And not even a holiday weekend. Traffic was backed up about seven miles... by 3 PM. Now, granted, NOT all that traffic was going to Sonic. Route 1 narrows to two lanes about a half mile before the store - but still.

yesterday here in central TX. Had plenty of folks coming in looking for work. They thought I was the manager! Now that is funny.

Wisconsin:
Waukesha, West Milwaukee, Appleton & Middleton. Looks like Grand Chute and Green Bay install later this month.
Michigan:
Can confirm Sterling Heights but not Rochester.

I have NO input as far as what Sonic produces; we are an equipment supplier for them.

Just yesterday on the drive home from the job site saw 4 of the projects we've done. I've been doing them since 2001 and the areas of development have changed. What used to be concentrated in FL and LA are now going into new regions.

What you folks are seeing at Peabody is called the Honeymoon phase and eventually that wears off. Though word has it that in some of the NE markets they are trying to push for 5 million stores. I was talking to an operator last week and he tossed around 7 million. What actually is and what they forecast are 2 different things.

Total honeymoon.. or you need more Sonics.. in my town of 86,000 there are three and there is never much of a wait for them unless they are giving away free root beer floats like they do one evening in June every year.

Wow, Sonic is coming to Sterling Heights, Michigan? I'm always in Sterling Heights but haven't heard of a Sonic coming? I will see if I can find out where and when online. Thanks for the update.
