So happy for all you Boston flyers but Song (Hartford) took away my Jan 18th. 7:00am flight going down and my Jan. 28th 6:15pm flight coming back!!
Angry does not even begin to describe my feelings!
And a vent first....who comes up with these schedules??? The 7:00am flt. is dropped as of Dec. 12th. but is back on the sched. as of Jan. 31st. The 6:15pm flt. is dropped as of Dec. 11th. but comes back as of Jan. 31st. Song did not notify us of our flight change and if I had not been checking to see how full the flights were getting I wouldn't have known they were even cancelled!
Some help if you would please...these are my options as told to me by Delta and what my hotel reservations are:
Vero Beach Jan. 18th 1 night drive to Beach Club Villas Jan 19th. for 10 days.
We have been bumped to the icky late afternoon flt. going down which would mean we would not get to Vero until 8:00pm (only there 1 night!) The trip home we are bumped to the 11:00am flt. getting us home at 2:00. We loose virtually a whole day here.
Delta tells me first that they have no idea if these "good flights" will be added back so I can either 1.) cancel my ressie. on Song and get my money back or 2.) keep the flts. I've been bumped to or 3.) I could take connecting flights thru Delta (Song flts. were nonstop)the times are not as good but they will keep the low price I had with my original Song flts.
My options as I see them:
If I cancel the ressie. w/Song for a refund I start from scratch trying to find a decent fare for the trip. Or change to the connecting Delta flts. they have but once I make this change if they should add my "good flights" back to the schedule I couldn't change back without a penelty. Or I could hold my icky flights that I was bumped to and wait to see if they add the flights I really wanted back and then change without a fee...but as time goes by other options of decent flts. gets smaller.
What to do??? Please help me any experiences you can share would be appreciated.
If Song thinks this will get them customers their are mistaken. Yes, I did voice my complaints with customer service when they were going over my options. When this was just Delta the flights were the same forever! I have records of tracking the flights and times that go back for years and I have no idea why they are fooling around with this now...the flights that I am looking for have always flown at near capacity...why delete them????
Thank you in advance for your sage wisdom which will talk me down off the ledge!
In advance of the great advice...yes, Gail I will look into Southwest
