Just returned from a 4 day Wonder cruise, and 3 days at VWL. Flew down on Song. Flight was overbooked. I booked my flight when Song started accepting flights. I was on the 7:20 am flight which was cancelled, and moved to 11:25 am. I was given new seats. Well, when I got to the airport I didn't have seats!!!! Song started offering $400/seat, next flight out was to Tampa, and they offered free transport from Tampa to Orlando. So we finally got seats, but were split up. We weren't supposed to get to Orlando until 2:25 - arrived at 2:05, drove out of the parking lot with our Avis rental car at 2:35!!! So accept for the overbooking - Song was great, and Avis was good. Very fast check in and turning in the car took 10 seconds.

Just curious...what time did you get to Logan for the 11:35 flight? Glad to hear it all worked out. We flew Song in August and found them to be quite good.

Oh now I am scared to use Song. We are traveling with a 1 1/2 year old. I am not sure how all that confusion would work for us. Also we couldn't be separated on the flight of course.
Is this something that happens with Song alot? Would you use them again?

Samantha, please don't worry about flying with Song! My story..long story short....booked flights for Aug 03 trip with Delta in late Sept 02. The flight I was on got changed to a different time. Okay with me. Then, the changeover to Song occured. They canceled my early a.m. flight. Told me I could take the 11:35 flight. Nope, wouldn't work for me. They offered me a flight the day before. I took it and booked an extra night at Polynesian. They worked with me to get me the seats I wanted. Very helpful. Then dh told me he wanted to get to WDW earlier than the 3:20 flight would get us there. So...I call Song again. They tell me I can book the 11:35 flight for an extra $75, for the three of us total. I couldn't get the exact seats I wanted but I could live with what I was given. The planes, both coming and going were full. They boarded quite quickly. I was called by Song and asked if I would give up my return flight seats. Told them no, that wasn't an option. We always get to the airport (Logan) 2 hrs before departure. We had no problem with having our seats available when we got there. I don't recall anyone having a problem. I think that as Song gets more planes equipped you will find the problems to be infrequent. I will not hesitate to fly Song again. My dh, who has flown commercial for years on business and then for several years on a company private jet, said he really liked the Song experience!! That's my story, for what it's worth.

We arrived at around 9:40 am. I had tried to use the song website to check in but it informed me I had to check in at the desk. Tried to use the quick check in kiosk - but since Song had taken my seats away from me - I needn't help checking in, and had to recheck at the gate. But the whole process took less than 5 minutes.

I didn't mean to scare anyone!!!! Just wanted people to be informed so you wouldn't get frustrated - like I did!!! The employees are great - they are angry also with all the overbooking. But they try to keep the families together. Plus when we landed 20 minutes early - all was forgiven. And on our flight home they managed to change our seats so we were all together.

Thank you that is good to know. Do you know if they have e-tickets?

They say you can check-in online if you have only carry-on bags. If you are checking baggage, then you can use the check-in kiosks. All very easy. Then you hand your bags over to the desk people and off you go. You can also do curb-side check-in. But, we found it just as easy to do the kiosks.

I flew Song back in August, also (hi, Tink!) and had the same problems; overbooked, offered flights to Tampa, etc. but we left on time, got their on time, and the flights were fine.
They have also added back the early flight down, adn the late flight back. The prices seem to be more reasonable also, maybe the JetBlue competition will keep them that way.
I liked it so much, I booked Song for another trip in January!:teeth:

Hi John!! Lucky you. I can't wait for Jan. to get here so I can book our flights for next Dec. We will be looking at Song again too. They were terrific.

That's all they have, no paper tickets except maybe for a fee, but they sure don't offer them.
