When I double checked my Song flights for this May, I saw that they had changed from 7:30 pm to 8:55 pm! That is way too late for us - won't get in until after 11:45 pm (then wait for luggage, get the car rental, drive to WDW - looking at a 1 am check in!@!), so I called Delta. Rep told me as of May 1st all Song flights are cancelled. I explained that we can't take a flight that late and the rep was more than happy to change my flights - no service fees - to what I wanted. We are now on the 5:00 pm flight getting in MCO at 7:45 MUCH BETTER :cool1: ! He got us seat assignments also. I just said nicely since Delta was changing our flights, could we pick what we wanted (couldn't do flight back) and he was so nice about it. I guess they are getting lots of calls on this. So my advice is to check your ressies, and if they need to be changed, change them to what you want, not what they put down for you.

Yes, this news was posted already this week, but thanks for posting again because it will help someone! So glad to hear you made out great. I went thru the same scenario with our June flights, but the difference was only 25 minutes in the morning.

I called because of course my Song flights are now gone. They put me on a Delta one 2 hours later. When I asked for the one 2 hours earlier, they hit me with the $25 flight change fee. It netted against the now lower fare, but it still cost me in a lower credit. (JFK to MCO)

BUT, I am happy to be on an earlier flight down, and later one coming home. Coming home, the plane is one of the HUGE ones, with 2 aisles.

OT: It should not cost you more money to change to a flight you can live with if the airline modified the schedule. Call the airline again or write a letter if you "inadvertently" accepted a higher fare or surcharge.

THANK YOU!! I just checked and my DS7 and I would have been standing all the way back from MCO to BOS as they "forgot" to reassign us seats for the new flight. All this for a 5 minute change. UGG

Now we have seats. :woohoo:

It should not cost U to change your flight if the change is substancial. I would have been able to change my flight time with no fee and my change was only 5 min.

Sorry, I didn't know this subject was posted already - I don't visit this board too often. Pat McDuck I agree with the others - call Delta up, speak with a Manager and get them to cancel the $25 fee. They should NOT charge you for switching a flight that they put you on without consulting you. Our flight back only changed by 5 minutes, so that I could see if they charged us, but for a flight change of over 1 1/2 - 2 hours - that's crazy  . When the rep told me the flight had been changed, I just asked nicely if they could change it the opposite way - and take the first available earlier flight. Try it - it couldn't hurt.
