HI ALL!
Delta/Song announced Flight cuts and time changes.
I checked my Res Bos to MCO for April and discovered Two time changes and return flight change number and SEAT ASSIGNMENTS!
Call IMMEDIATELY and reveiw your itinerary with an Agent , who was VERY NICE and adjusted my flight to another and seated our 4 seats together.
IF YOU DO USE THIS THREAD PLEASE BUMP SO THIS WILL STAY AT TOP OF THE TRANS LIST SO OTHER DISERS WILL BE ALERTED!
THANKS!
GOOD LUCK!

Thanks so much for this! I checked our flights in June, and sure enough the times had changed as well. Our seats had stayed the same and the time isn't too bad. Thanks again!

I check my reservation online, and our times have changed just a little. We'll have to keep trying to get seat assignments again, since at this point, they're not offering them.

Mine changed on Sat!! I was originally on the 2:15 flight home to Boston on 12/4, but changed it since my ds is coming over from Tampa to visit the day before and I didn't want to have to rush him out so that I could catch my flight. So, I changed to the 5:00 flight, which then changed to a 4:45 flight. No big deal. It was perfect, I got to spend more time with my ds, and still get home earlier enough that dh and dd could easily come pick me up at Logan, on a school night. So, on Sat I find that they have changed my almost completely full flight to 6:55....getting into Logan at 9:45!! No way can I do that one. So, back to the 2:15 flight. CS rep tells me all the other afternoon flights are now full....funny that when I checked that morning (I check my Song flights at least twice a day for obvious reasons!) there were plenty of open seats on all the flights after mine.
So now I'm more than a little concerned about my flight leaving from Boston on 11/30...it's only about 1/3 full at 10:50. Don't mind if they move it earlier but later is just not going to work for me...I have to be in WDW by 4:00!!! I'm torn about just calling them and sucking up the change fee and moving myself to the earlier flight.

You may be due for one more schedule change before the actual flight schedules get released, so paying for a change now may not help you, but could instead hurt you. No sense paying for that, IMHO.

HI ALL!
I went back over my Airline Schedule log and noticed that the 9th thru the 11th of the last three months Song has made some kind of schedule change in one of the following categories: FLT Time, FLT cancellation, Seating Arrangement, or Deep discount in fare.
I suggest anyone with a RES review during the above time span to keep on top of the changes.
Funny: Jet Blue has not moved on their prices for the April vacation week YET!
PS : where is the Easter Bunny Smiley? :rotfl2:

I'm becoming obsessive about checking my flights now!!! :magnify:  I know my flights are going to change at least once before we leave in 50 days. I love Song, I really do, but this is getting ridiculous. I may find myself changing over to JetBlue and waiting longer to book my air...it may be worth it in the end. :confused3

I called this morning to see if my seat assignments had remained after all the changes to my flight time, for when I looked online, it said that all our seats were "not assigned". The very nice woman at Delta told me, that when there are changes to the flights, the seats usually remain in the system. The problem is the online program won't show them (something about multiple bookings of the same seat when they change a flight). She simply erased all my previous flight information from the online screen, and lo and behold! all my seats showed up as previously booked. So if you're stressed about this, make a toll-free call to DL, have them check on the seats, and clear out all the previous info so your seats will once again show up.

For most situations that is right on! What you need to guard against is when they (Delta/Song) eliminate a flight from a region, in my case BDL, they will reassign seats and your original seat assignments are usually gone. This happened in my case. They went from three to two return flights from MCO/BDL. Therefore, I went from 18C, to 28E, and after a phone call to 10C.

Yes, they cancelled all but 2 daily flights, mine included, from Boston to Orlando the 1st week of April.
That worked out to my advantage. I got the expensive afternoon flights that I originally wanted for the bargin basement price that I originally paid.
Good Luck all

HI ALL!
At the end of my conversation with the Rep at Song, she hinted that first of January there would be another Schedule adjustment.
 :rotfl2:

That would be on schedule... ever three months at least.

ITA witht this. Even before the spike in fuel prices, and Delta filing bankruptcy, they shuffled things around at least quarterly.

It looks like they are still making changes. 2 days ago there were only 2 flights listed BOS-MCO in February. It's now back up to 3, and who knows if either of the other ones eliminated will be back also?

All the major airlines release their official flight schedules just a few months prior to the flight. So anything you see scheduled before that is just a projection, not a real schedule. The projections surely are updated at least quarterly. One airline (Southwest) won't even allow you to book flights until their official flight schedule is ready, a few months prior to the flight.

Thanks for the heads up. We aren't leaving until July and the schedule has changed already, but it not a big deal right now. I had to call to get our seats back as being assigned. I plan on checking once a week just to keep on top of things. It is the first flight out of Boston so I hope it won't change too much over the months. Our flight out of Orlando is late morning so I really hope that doesn't change much. The joys of air travel!

Thanks for posting this! I haven't checked my Jan flights but went right online and they've already been changed 4 times. But now my flight to MCO is 30 minutes earlier, which is fine with me, and my flight home to BOS is the same time, just a different flight number. I'm sort of used to this, just not the frequency of changes!

My concern is with Delta filing for Chapter 11 is that these flights will change many more times. If I have the opportunity, I will purchase Southwest in February and cancel my song reservations. My return flight was completley changed and the hours on my flight leaving have changed.

Too unstable for me, I'm not going to gamble with my families vacation!

HI ALL!
Fares for April appear to be moving DOWN , The Saturday after GOOD FRIDAY, Bos to MCO the fare on ONE FLT went down to $239 from $399.
Jet Blue hasn't moved yet.
:cool1: ;)
