I know just being at Disney on your birthday is special enough, but the whole trip is for his sister's team and I feel like I'd like to acknowledge the day somehow. Any thoughts of something a 12-year old boy would like that would be special? Thanks!

Could you gift the day to him? So that he chooses when to get up, where to eat, which parks and which rides? Or maybe do a challenge, such as all the mountains or every park?

My 2 that celebrated birthdays there LOVED proudly wearing their Birthday Buttons...my 12 year old hated it and took her celebration button off after the first person congratulated her.

So, if he would love it, make sure he gets a button! You can also order balloons or cake and have them sent to your room. There is also a Pirate Dessert Fireworks Cruise that looks amazing and could be a fun gift for him.

I love the idea of gifting him the day too.

We have a birthday vacation next year and its her 12th birthday. I am letting her pick the places we eat and for the day she has selected Hollywood Studios. I have given her total power over fast passes as well. She wants Jedi Training for the last time (12 is the max age) and she wants to build a BB droid and wants to build a lightsaber. I might have made a small error turning her into a Jedi fanatic.
