Good morning!

Another awesome update. I have a picture of our son when he was just 1 year old asleep on the safari too. Kids can sleep anywhere!

When we rode Primeval Whirl, we spun a lot. :confused3 I hate that you were a bit disappointed with Dinosaur. We have never really been scared on it but we like to act like it so our picture turns out funny.;)

Your poor mother.....her feet just can't stop hurting her, can they?

Looking forward to reading more.

How funny that you have a sleeping safari pic too!! Its so precious!!
I wish Primeval Whirl had spun a lot!! Isn't that one of the rides thats not actually made by Disney? I don't remember!!
I didn't even know when they took the pic on Dinosaur!! I think I just really hyped myself up after reading reports of people thinking it was scary!
My moms feet get a little better...I'm posting that post (lol) now!

When we left Animal Kingdom, we went over to Animal Kingdom Lodge to have lunch at the Mara. I truly only had one intention here:
P1030279.jpg

ZEBRA DOMES!! I don’t even remember what the rest of my meal was. These were SO delicious though! I should’ve eaten less of my meal and more of these because they were SO GOOD and I couldn't even finish them all!!

Then we trekked outside of the World to Walmart. My dad absolutely refused to get my mom another pair of flip flops that would inevitably end up hurting her feet somehow again. So we went and got her some nice, supportive sneakers. The rest of the trip (and to this day) we called them her “magic shoes”.

After that we went back and rested in our room. My parents napped. I don’t remember if Landon did or not…but I couldn’t. So I watched Homeward Bound. Lol. My brother and I used to love that movie when we were little.

Also, before we left for the night’s festivities, we got to see the Broncos win!! Yay!! So awesome!!

And here is where our SUPER fun spontaneous event comes in. If you read my ptr, tonight was the night to go to Artist Point. However, my parents weren’t really feeling it! So I scheduled us for Hoop-Dee-Doo!! (I had actually tried for the luau, but the only nights we could they either weren’t performing or they didn’t have any availability.)

I think we got tier 2 seating for anyone who is wondering. I didn’t even ask for anything, that’s just what they gave us on the Dining Plan. Honestly, I didn’t even know the differences when I called because I hadn’t researched this! Our table was on the floor, about midway back. Here’s some pics:

Landon loved the corn bread.
P1030282.jpg

My dad loved that they had bottomless beer and just brought him a pitcher.
P1030288.jpg

Landon just loved the atmosphere. He got so excited and would clap and cheer with everyone. I’ll post a video of it this weekend!

The food was delicious! It wasn’t anything high class but it was still satisfying and so good!
Ribs!
P1030290.jpg

Fried Chicken!
P1030291.jpg

Beans and cornbread!
P1030292.jpg

Mashed potatoes!
P1030293.jpg

It was mostly divine! The beans weren’t the best, but I loved the rest!! For some reason, I didn’t take dessert pics but it was strawberry shortcake which was also pretty good. We didn’t eat most of it though because we were stuffed!!

These people looked for all the couples celebrating anniversaries!
P1030302.jpg

My parents didn’t want me to alert them but I did!! It was their 25th this year!! They went to Disneyland for their honeymoon and is one of our reasons for going to WDW this year! And then they had to dance!
P1030297.jpg

Can you tell my dad had bottomless beer?! HAHAHA!! This cracks me up…luckily he doesn’t Dis!!

Of course, there was some of that infamous WDW napkin twirling!
P1030305.jpg

My favorite part was how much Landon enjoyed it. He feeds very well off of high crowd energy and excitement. It was the cutest thing ever. Here he is waving to me:
P1030300.jpg

Then I captured this picture, which has become one of my favorites because of his expression!
P1030299.jpg

This was just such a good time. Landon made friends with the lady sitting behind us. (Of course!) She was a grandma there with her 4 grandkids and she just adored Landon.

After the show, someone came up to me and told me what a good daughter I was for letting them know it was my parent’s anniversary. Hehe. And then we put one of those Davy Crockett hats on Landon. I think my dad got that picture on his phone so I’ll try to put it up when I get the video this weekend!

Our bus ride back was even with these 2 cute little kids who were in the show! My parents just loved this show. We all had such a good time!!

After the show, it wasn’t too late so my dad watched football and Grammy and I took Landon swimming. Check out the Broncos bikini! Lol!

Swimming was so nice and relaxing! Landon had a good time splashing and watching the kids! He loves going swimming!!

After that we showered and got our jammies on and crawled into bed for a good night’s sleep! (I don’t know if I mentioned it, but I just put a bedrail on one side and had Landon sleep with me. I didn’t want to try to fit a pack n play in there!)

Would our great night be followed by a great day in DHS?! Stay tuned to find out!

I'm all caught up! Your TR is great, I love all the pictures and Landon is SO cute. :) I'm looking forward to reading more.

Hoop Dee Doo was GREAT! I loved the guy on the left, I think his name in the show was Johnny and I also loved the guy who played Six Bits (guy with the hat). Wait till you read about my experience when I post my TR! :rotfl:

Aw thanks!! Glad you are all caught up now!! I can't wait to read your experience! I really loved it!

The Mara! :dance3: Love that place. It's a nice change of choices for a CS place.

The Hoop-Dee-Doo! Thanks for the pics. We haven't been there in forever, and I've been missing it! Haha, Landon loved the corn bread. I'm sure my little guy would love it too. That's so great he had such a great time. :goodvibes

I love that pic of him with his bottle, or as my little guy calls it (ba). That look they give you just makes you want to cuddle with them. :goodvibes

I've always wondered about the hoop dee doo. Looks like a wonderful time was had by all! Man, that food looked sooooo good! If I could only pluck it off of my screen...but then I'd blow my whole diet, so I guess it's for the best! :goodvibes (am starting to lose weight, so well worth STARVING! :thumbsup2)

Landon looks so adorable and like he's having the time of his life. I need to find some pictures of my little guy when he was Landon's age. Their eyes TOTALLY are the same, big and round and BROWN. I'll see what I can come up with and you can help me compare. Probably won't be until this weekend, tho, b/c his baby pics are all at home.

Too funny, the one with your mom and dad dancing. Isn't that sweet???

The swimming pics are cute, too. Looks like you're gonna have yourself a water baby! :cool1:

Totally agree with you on the bottle pic. That was the most precious thing!

Oh my goodness - Zebra Domes! Little slices of heaven on a place!

The Hoop De Doo looks like an absolute blast! Yay for unlimited beer for your Dad... hahahaha! Landon definitely looks like he was enjoying himself there as well! :goodvibes

Don't you just love night time swimming? It's so relaxing!

You had some majorly cute pictures of Landon in that last update. Hoop De Doo sounds like a really fun show, I don't know if the family will ever be convinced to go though.

Aw thanks!

And I think I would probably have to be an event planner and not just weddings. Though I do know that these days, a wedding planner can be almost beneficial especially to the people who are on a budget because they can help you still have your dream wedding on a budget and think of creative ways to do that instead of just cutting things because they seem too expensive...if that makes sense. Of course, I could also go and work for a big company and plan all their events from meetings to holiday parties or whatever...but I'm not sure how much that is needed either, at least in this economy. Thats why I think that I should get something "safer" until I do find my Prince Charming and he provides for me and I can have a job that is more of a "hobby", if you know what i mean! (Because of course he'll be rich! HAHA!)

And your guys job sounds so manly!! Is he planning on doing any specific thing with that and is he working and going to school?

Hey there! I am going back to read the rest of your TR but I just wanted to let you know that I do plan events in my job. I work for a family foundation in our town that benefits children's medical research. I would perhaps look for that angle; some of the larger companies and/or their CEOs have foundations where they gift money each year - I would look into that.

Back to reading! Great job so far!

Mara really is great! It was nice looking around AKL too!!

Hoop-Dee-Doo was so great!! Especially for Landon! I loved watching him light up!

Aw, they really are so cute with their bottles! Landon doesn't call it anything (yet) but he starts laughing and gets all excited when he sees it! :goodvibes

You should definitely try to get to Hoop-Dee-Doo next time! It was probably our best dinner!! It was really good food too!

Don't those big, round, brown eyes melt your heart? I would love to see pics of Mitchell at that age! I love this age...its so amazing!! He's definitely a water baby!

My parents did end up having fun dancing! Good thing I made them!

Oh my goodness - Zebra Domes! Little slices of heaven on a place!

I wish I had some Zebra Domes right now! And I wish they lasted longer and weren't so melty. I about cried having to throw some out. (I actually took them back to my room and put them on ice lol.

I love Hoop Dee Doo!! We all did!

Night time swimming was awesome! A great way to end the day!

Thanks!

I didn't think me or my family would like it! My parents actually thought I was making up the name (because in The Tigger Movie he has this special bounce that begins with hoop dee doo) and didn't know where we were going!

Hi!! Thats so awesome. What'd you get a degree in? Or did you just get lucky? :goodvibes Your job sounds awesome and very exciting!!
Thanks I hope you enjoy the rest of my tr!

Well, my degree is in English Lit. I got this job b/c I had been working for the company for about a year in another department, and knew they had an opening in the family foundation. So I asked about it, interviewed and here I am! :thumbsup2 It's very fulfilling and a lot of fun. We just had our largest fundraiser of the year last weekend, so this weekend I am planning on taking it easy at home! popcorn::

Oh man, me too girl! I could definitely go for some Zebra Domes right about now! I wish there was a way to get some! LOL.

I'm with you on your parents' anniversary--I mean, how could you go to HDDR and not recognize them on the 25th! :confused3 It sure looks like everyone had a good time. And your seating was great--I made our Category 2 ADR 89 days out and we were seated upstairs. The whole experience was really fun, tho'--would recommend it to anyone with a sense of humor (and whoever doesn't have one probably isn't at WDW anyway) :rotfl:

I just sat and read your whole TR so far! I love it!!! Your little man is so stinking cute!!!! Keep up the great updates!

i love your hoop de doo pictures:) it looks so good and like a fun place i never thought of even going there!! I think i might want to try it after your review:) we changed some of our plans too -- someplaces just seem good at the time and then you get there and are like umm nope dont want to eat there LOL we did that too-- Landon looks so cute in all his pictues and it looks like he had a blast at hoop de doo:) i bet all of that and the swimming tuckered him out LOL that a good idea with the bed rail too in your room!! very smart!

I have just got caught up with your trip report and wanted to let you know how much I've enjoyed it!

I'm sure I'm not the first to say how totally adorable Landon is - and so good natured too! Must be because you and your parents seem so laid back too!

The food reviews are great! I loved reading about the California Grill and all the other places you went to - it's making me hungry!!

Can't wait to read more!:surfweb:
