Wow! That really stinks...I know it's hard to pass those up, but what can you do? :confused3

I know...I asked people on my facebook if they would just give me $1195, but no one took me up on it. Someone did offer $4 though. I'm pretty sure with that, they'd only let me look at the tickets! :rotfl:

Hey girl, just thought I'd let you know..in my '08 TR, I did a year in review..there's a ton of pics of the little guy if you'd like to see more..the year in review starts on page 6!

I just read it!! And I pm'ed you!!

I think I start obsessing about food more the closer it gets to lunch time. I've been looking at menus and have the food porn thread open...:confused3 Can't help it!! Anyway...here is what I am thinking:

Arrive whenever...depends on when we can get a plane.
We would eat dinner this night...either at a signature restaurant (Artist Point, Narcoossee's and California Grill are our options) or at Captain's Grill--loved those crab legs!!
**OK, please keep this day in mind. Whether its a signature restaurant or CG depends on something on the day we leave that I want y'alls opinion on!!**

On our MK day, we'd have another early breakfast at Crystal Palace and then lunch at The Plaza!! We would hop on the monorail over to 'Ohanas for dinner! MMMMM!!

For our Epcot day--which you all know my mother is protesting--we would have Kona for breakfast (since I do not plan on getting to Epcot on time), Wolfgang Puck for lunch (or a Epcot CS if we were still there and hungry...), and then ESPN Club for dinner. Of course, this will have to syncronize with football somehow, preferably a Broncos game, otherwise I may opt for Big River Grill.

On our AK day, we would fill up on breakfast at TH, snack throughout the day for lunch (remember we will have 63 credits for pretty much 6 days...) and then go to Mickey's Backyard BBQ or the luau.

For DHS day, breakfast would be at Hollywood & Vine (mostly so we could get into the park before rope drop!) and then lunch at 50's Primetime. Dinner would be at the backyard BBQ or luau--whichever we didn't the previous night.

For Sea World day, we will probably shoot for the Ohanas character breakfast. We may end up picking something up from the food court, it just depends on time. Obviously, we can't use the dining plan at SW, so we'll pay for something OOP there. Dinner will be at Whispering Canyon Cafe since we skipped that last time!!

Our last full day, we won't go into the parks until the evening for MVMCP. (Much like we did this year for the halloween party.) I'm thinking breakfast at Grand Floridan Cafe...it may just be at a food court though. Lunch will be at Beaches and Cream...helloooooo ice cream!! Then dinner will be at Tony's and I'll do my best to make sure we don't eat to close to dinner so we won't want to skip it this time!!

So that brings us to leaving day...now, depending on what we do our first night, we will either have ONE credit left or TWO. If it is just one, we'll probably have breakfast at Chef Mickey's and get lunch at the airport. Now if its two (and also depending on when our flight it...), I was thinking adding an extra park day and going to Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast!! What do you guys think?? I think that would be great, but I think it hugely depends on when we leave. I would not add an extra park day to go to breakfast and then have to go to the airport. But this year, our plane left late enough that we could've had a half day in the park.

Let me know what you guys think about everything!!

to many restraunts for me to figure out popcorn::

with your snack credits,

you know that you can use them at goofys candy shop for alot of stuff,
if i remmeber right when we were on the dinning plan with our snack credits, we used them at goofys and our hotel gift shop for any snack food that was like under 4 bucks i think, they have lots of neat candy treats for those prices, so you can use them for gifts or souveniours to bring home to people.

Of course I think you should add an extra park day and eat breakfast at CRT! One more day at MK before you have to leave is good with me!

When I plan trips, I always try to get the latest flight back as possible. It gives you a good chunk of the day to enjoy a park or two. I would definitely try for CRT!

All of your options sound great! That's a LOT of snack credits.

Why doesn't your mother relax at the hotel and meet up with you all later if she doesn't want to do Epcot? It's not fair to ask you to skip it because she doesn't like it!

I agree with Jenny, if your mom doesn't like Epcot, then she could rest her feet for awhile and join you later.

As far as CRT, I think you should totally do it! It's your castle, Princess, you should dine in it!!! princess: And you can invite us to join you at your royal table!

Can't wait to hear about the backyard bbq!

Awww! I can't wait to see cake face pics, either! That's always the best part. :goodvibes

TOMORROW!!! Can you believe it?! I promise tons of cake pictures!!

I guess around 20 restaurants is a lot. ;) What can I say? I like food!!

I love Goofy's!! We definitely got a lot of snacks there last year!! I'm sad though because I heard they took off the make-your-own-rice-krispy-treat right after I left and that's what I got! (Off as a snack credit, not off the menu.) Oh well...I will definitely be back there.

Of course I think you should add an extra park day and eat breakfast at CRT! One more day at MK before you have to leave is good with me!

While I was compiling this list, I thought if any one person wanted me to go to CRT, it would be you!! :rotfl:

I'm hoping we can get a later flight!!! That'd be so great!! I think we'll just say CRT for now, unless the airlines hate me and don't have later ones available. ;)

It is a lot of snack credits!! I think we will be better this time around, because at first we were kind of stingy with them and didn't use them. But its nice because we can just get bottles of water and ice cream if we want and we never have to worry!! I love having no worries!! (Hakuna matata!)

I think that really sounds like a good idea of my mom relaxing at the hotel. I would somehow have to convince her to stay with Landon too...since my dad and I couldn't take him on TT or Soarin'. I would think that should be fine though. Oh I wonder if my mom could stay with Landon in the morning and then I could take him at night and explore the WS on my own, while they do whatever since my dad only likes FW! This could work...now you have my wheels turning!

I'm definitely going to try to work out something with my mom to get it figured out. I really want to do Epcot better!!

I'm with you guys on going for CRT!! Luckily, its on our last day too so the 90+10 rule should work in our favor!! And you guys can always come to my royal table and it will cost a snack credit instead of 2 ts's!! You can even use one of my 63 credits! :rotfl: I'm just such a sweet princess! princess:

The backyard bbq should be fun...especially since Landon loves to dance. I bet he'll be better at it by then too! :goodvibes

That sounds like a plan! :thumbsup2 If she really doesn't want to go, it's better for her to hang at the hotel and have some qt alone with Landon then go and complain all day. But what is not to like about Epcot? Sure, it's a lot of walking, but other than that...I'm stumped.

I think it was how much walking it was is what bothered her the most. Plus, they had such short waits for everything so my dad and I went on a ton of rides and left her in mousegears, and while she loved the store, she didn't like just walking around more with Landon while her feet her and he was fussy and stuff. It would just be more enjoyable without her since its so hard for her to enjoy with all that walking. She thought that the WS was just an insanely long walk with country-themed gift shops. Plus, my dad loved Soarin' so much he dragged her on it even though she is terrified of heights and he thought that it wouldn't matter and that she would still like it.

It just didn't mesh with her...it would be much better if she did something else with Landon, like the pool or something.

She didn't see the beauty in WS? I love it there. Maybe you should take her during food and wine festival. :rotfl: Maybe she could take Landon to DTD or something and wander around the stores there for a little while and then hit the pool.

Hey guys!! My photobucket is back in business!! For those of you who didn't get to see the pics in the apartment post, here are the links!

Part One!
Part Two!
Landon and the Kitten!

Enjoy!

Haha...well she was kind of walking around it barefoot since her shoes were hurting so bad! :scared1: Gross I know...lol I think that no shoes would take away from the beauty of the WS. But maybe I'm a crazy person who likes having shoes to keep from getting my feet dirty.

I think she would love to go take him to Landon to DTD and then the pool!!

:rotfl2: You know me too well. You are a true TR reader.

Thanks! :goodvibes

On March 1st, 2008 I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. I took 2 more and they confirmed it. I got more excited every passing day. In June 2008, I found out I was having a boy!!
l_5f5694ddb56e099bea804442d83c0066.jpg

I was so in love.

I got bigger all the time.
babystuff2013.jpg

I painted his room all by myself. His room matched his diaper bag, stroller, car seat, pack-n-play and high chair. The colors were a Tiffany’s blue and dark chocolate brown. It wasn’t long before I couldn’t see my toes. I was ALL baby.
36weekfun006.jpg

Landon Brandt was the name I had been sure of pretty much the whole pregnancy. I can’t remember exactly where I picked Landon up, but I’m pretty sure it was from A Walk to Remember, lol. And Brandt was the name of a friend who had passed.
randomrandomrandom001.jpg

Landon didn’t come on his due date—November 5th. Here’s a pic from that day so you can see he’s still in there, lol!
40weeks4.jpg

I did go into the hospital that night though to get induced!

Everything went smoothly. I got an epidural after my water broke and sometime around 5, we were ready to go!! Of course, it just so happened that Landon decided to come right as the nurses were switching shifts AND my doctor was finishing up her office work, so she was taking way too long to get her. I was NOT happy. When you are ready to go, you are READY!! The only time pushing hurt was when they told me not to because my nurse or doctor wasn’t there yet. If it wasn’t my first, I probably would’ve pushed anyway. That was just not okay!!

At 5:41 pm on November 6, 2008, my son was born. I was the one to cut his umbilical cord…it was pretty gross. I liked stopped halfway the first time because it was not what I was expecting!! (I’m not really sure what I was expecting though!) Then my sweet baby boy was handed to me.
randomrandomrandom081.jpg

I had thought I loved my baby the whole time I was pregnant, but it was NOTHING compared to what I felt when I first laid eyes on him. Anyone who doesn’t believe in love at first sight has never had a baby. It’s so overwhelmingly powerful.
randomrandomrandom083.jpg

My little guy weighed in at 8lbs 7oz.
randomrandomrandom089.jpg

A lot of people think that’s big, but I was so grateful…I was a whole pound more, and my brother even more than that, so I was expecting a big baby!

randomrandomrandom098.jpg

Landon had his first bath and then they put him under the lights to warm up.
randomrandomrandom115.jpg

I’m pretty sure it was around this time that I started to get a really high fever. It got all the way up to 106, and it was so terrible because I felt so cold. I was freezing and I was pretty violently shaking. I’m so grateful for the nurse I had because she stayed with me the entire time I had that fever. She had other rooms to cover, but she found other nurses to go there so she could stay with me. Anyway, I was miserable…so unbelievably cold. Only the nurse was really paying attention to me, everyone else (my mom and like 3 or 4 friends) were doting over Landon…which is to be expected. I was just laying there with cold rags on me to try to bring my fever down, when I already felt freezing. Plus, there was the way I was shaking so violently. I was terrified to hold my baby. Everyone laughs now, but I was shaking so badly, I thought I would give him shaken baby syndrome. I was just laying there and I started crying because I just wanted my baby and I was scared. The nurse was the one who noticed me crying and I told her I wanted my baby and she assured me it was okay and I could hold him. We cuddled and he was perfect and used his magical baby powers and I didn’t shake after I was holding him and my fever went down pretty dang fast.

(Oh and there was Thursday Night Football that night and the Broncos just so happened to be playing that night and they won, ending a losing streak. YAY!! But I digress…)

randomrandomrandom131.jpg

The rest of my hospital stay was pretty rough. I don’t want to go into it all too deeply…but I’ll just mention one of the worse parts. Because of that fever, I had to keep an iv in for meds they repeatedly forgot to give me, and then one nurse said it was okay to take it out. Then she looked at my charts and it wasn’t. So she had to put one back in. First, she blew a vein. Then she tried again and got it in, but it was so painful, even when I wasn’t moving my arm. (My mom was yelling at the nurses for that and found out this nurse had a migraine and got sent home because she couldn’t see straight. WTH was she sticking people with needles?!?!) It hurt so bad that I actually asked them to take it out and put another back in. I was supposed to get meds every 2 or 3 hours for like 24 hours or something, but they did 2 doses and forgot AGAIN! I was so mad. Then they refused to take it out. I had an iv in for pretty much a whole day with nothing even in it. I was livid.

My cats were very interested in him when we got home. He just slept so peacefully.

I fall more in love with Landon each day. He’s such a cuddler and such a lover. I don’t think I could have asked for a better baby. He’s always had such a consistent schedule and never been a fussy guy. He barely ever spit up, too! Every day has been such a joy watching him grow and learn new things. He is the most amazing person I know and I couldn’t be a prouder mommy. I love him so much.

I’ll end with my favorite picture of us on his first day home.

Happy Birthday, my Landon Bear. I love you so much!

Happy Birthday to Landon! Thanks for sharing the story with us. I love that last picture of you two, so precious!! :)

Kimmy, Kimmy, Kimmy: You bring tears to my eyes! What a beautiful story, beautiful baby, beautiful momma.

You were really tiny pregnant, but ALL belly! Wow! How cute you looked.

I am sorry you had such a rough time in the hospital. Bless you.

I love the pics you got of him. My favorite of him was the one of him with the sunshine glinting off his sweet face. Then you showed us the very last one of you and him, and I was blown away. Girl, you looked so good to have JUST had a baby! I was still bloated and not photo friendly at all.

I'm so proud that HE has blessed you with Landon. You can tell by his pictures that Landon is SO in love with you! And I have no doubts of the love you have for him. You're story has made my day! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LANDON!

Aw thanks! I just had to share. I was crying while I wrote it too!! Tonight when I get home, I will have to send you this video I made for him. It makes me cry even more!

I was all belly. It was hilarious since I was that huge on Halloween. Everyone thought it was a costume! All the drunk kids were like "when are you due?" and I'd say "oh on Wednesday" and they'd freak out and ask what I was doing out!! It was so funny!

I took good care to try to look photo-worthy! I think it helps that I was induced!! Had I like gone into labor in the middle of the night or something, I would've been so unprepared!!

I'm so grateful every single day that HE blessed me with Landon. I am really so lucky that HE loves me so much to have trusted me with such an amazing little guy! Thanks for all your kind words!

Happy Birthday Landon!

Thanks so much for sharing all those pics..you were such a pretty pregnant Mommy!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that last pic. I hope you have that up and framed somewhere.

Haha, I thought of 'A Walk to Remember' when I first heard his name is Landon. :rotfl2:

OH Kimmy, I've got tears running down my face from reading your birthday post for Landon (most likely because my 1st born was born a year ago tomorrow and I can so relate on this very special day for you!!)!!:goodvibes What a beautiful post and that baby boy is so lucky to have you as his Mommy!!! Thanks for sharing with us all!!! You are very blessed!! Happy birthday Landon!!!!:goodvibes
