Every year on Madison's birthday, I get very emotional. In my head, I relive each moment leading up to her birth. I still can't believe that's she's 7 years old! Cherish each and every moment with Landon because before you know it, he'll be starting school. It goes by much too quickly.

OH Kimmy, I've got tears running down my face from reading your birthday post for Landon (most likely because my 1st born was born a year ago tomorrow and I can so relate on this very special day for you!!)!! Thanks!! I can't believe its been a year!! I'm glad you understand how special it is!! As a child, you think birthdays are just pure fun. I never even realized as a parent how sappy it would make me! (Plus, even more fun than before!)

Aw thanks!! I really love that sweater vest...it melts my heart! Isn't it amazing how fast it all goes by? I bet even after 7 years, all the moments leading up to her birth still feel like yesterday!

Thanks for sharing your labor story. You're so right when you say there's nothing that compares to that moment when you're handed your baby and you look them in the eyes and can't get over the fact how much you can love someone! It's an amazing feeling & makes all the pain worth it!

I can totally relate on the whole "getting really sick" after having a baby. It happened to me, too with Jake. Except I got a super high fever during labor and the nurses and doctor had to rush in and start doing all this stuff.

But so glad that you & Landon are both happy and healthy!!!!!

I wish we each could've avoided our fevers!! You poor thing that it happened during labor!! There's just so many things that don't work out how you envisioned pertaining to labor, but all that matters is ending up with a healthy baby!

Aw thanks!! I loved being pregnant, it was so fun!! I was huge though...maternity shirts couldn't even cover my stomach towards the end!

Hey guys!! The birthday pics are coming up! But I wanted to share this video I made from way back when Landon was a couple of months old! I desperately need to update it, but I still just wanted to share with you guys!! It makes me cry everytime.

This was the sunrise on my little guy’s birthday:

Here he is waiting for breakfast!

We had chocolate chip pancakes!! Then I snapped a picture with him before I had to go to work. Boo.

We took him to the Texas Roadhouse for dinner. He shared some of everyone’s food.

After that, we went home!! I decided to open his big present first since I had to inflate it myself! Landon tried to help.

He just couldn’t wait until I was done…he wanted to play with it!

Then finally, I was done!! He LOVED it—that may be an understatement!! He loved sitting in there and watching all the balls go down and playing with the balls. Here he is playing in it:

Then, we had to drag him out to open the rest of his presents!! He wasn’t happy at first and just tried to crawl right back, but once we caught his attention with the other stuff, he was fine! First we opened a Touch-and-Hear Toy Story book.

Next, he opened his Little Einstein’s instruments. Everything fit inside a drum, and inside there was a tambourine, maracas, and these clicky things that I don’t know what they are called.

After that, was his Shake-and-Go Lightning McQueen!! This is the coolest thing ever!! It’s a motorized toy car and really all you have to do is shake it and then you hear the engine rev up and it drives!! The more you shake, the further it goes too! (And it has an on and off switch!! Thank goodness!)

Then he got a big ol’ dumptruck from my parents!

And then it was time for cake!! We got Landon his own mini cake that was meant for two people. We let him grab at the icing on the whole thing and then I just cut it in half and my mom ate the other half. Here is the cake before Landon demolished it!

Then, we finally took it away. He was just chillin’ licking his fingers off while he waited for his bath.

Oh and here is a picture of the cake for everyone else!

After his bath, he was all clean!!

He played with his toys some more!

And he was much too distracted to take a picture with his mom!

Then my little guy went to bed!! He had such a fun birthday!! It was even better then I expected. The next day he had a mini party with some of my mom’s friends, and she got a few pics but I haven’t uploaded those yet! I will tonight!!

Looks like little Landon had a blast! I love the cake pictures! We have pictures of my nephew from his first bday like that, he was a mess! That Cars blow up you got him looks really fun! You can tell he loves it. Great pictures!
