This is such an exquisite cover of a Gordon Lightfoot song -
My very first concert was Gordon Lightfoot, also at a small, outdoor type venue. It was on my 13th birthday and I am ashamed to say I did not appreciate it as much as I should have. I would have liked the opportunity to attend another and appreciate it properly but alas, that will now never happen.Just the other day on another thread we were talking about concerts we’ve been to. I added him as an afterthought. It was at one of those small, summer outdoor venues and not particularly memorable, honestly, aside from an event that occurred with one of my friends that night unrelated to the concert, lol. But I did enjoy some of his songs. May he RIP.
At least you got to go and still have that memory! My very first concert was Gordon Lightfoot, also at a small, outdoor type venue. His best work IMO was Carefree Highway.
He was on the road until the end-got to admire him.
yes it is but Sundown is so dark, I like that
Oh yes. This oh so loving & light Gordon Lightfoot song -I was listening to just a few of his songs this morning, many of them seem dark
Something I hadn't thought about in like forever...
One summer during high school, a guy stopped by unexpectedly at our house and said he'd been thinking about me during the summer and left me a big stack of Gordon Lightfoot 8-track tapes. (That's how old I am!) I'd never really listened to Gordon Lightfoot before that.
I wonder if that person remembered that when Gordon Lightfoot passed away. It was a bold move for high school boy.

I miss low-key!Gordon Lightfoot gets feelin better when hes feelin no pain
Many here do, @Forevermarypoppins. Every day, every evening. Jason had a large presence here.I miss low-key!
