Sometimes I just hate my sisters...

They know just what to say to not only get me mad, but to make me really upset. And when they're together its so much worse. I hate having sisters sometimes...

I am the 2nd of 4 girls. My oldest sister is the boss-45, I'm 44, the next is 40 and the younges is 37.

The youngest and oldest fight all the time. The oldest always tells everyone what to do, typical. The youngest has the exact same personality. My oldest sister will tell me all the time my fault, my family faults, etc, but I just let it blow over and I basically ignore her.

My youngest sister will yell at my oldest and the 40 yr. old, but she never yells or starts fights with me. For some reason she just knows you don't cross the line with me.

So, what did your sisters do to upset you?

HUGS!!! My sisters all ganged up on me at Thanksgiving and had me in tears. I decided to make Christmas easier and avoid them altogether.

I joke with 2 of my close friends that we need to start the "Worthless Siblings Club" since we all have siblings that make us NUTS!

I'm the 3rd of 4 girls. I refer to the older ones as the "Twit Sisters".
They decided together that they were not giving me & DH Christmas
presents this year. Never discussed it with me and only told me after
I had given them their presents! I would gladly give them to anyone who wants a sister!

I think I'm at this point with them too. Its odd though b/c my middle sister and I were just starting to hang out more. And now I don't want to even speak to her or the other one, who is awful too. I don't know if they just get a kick out of picking on me since I'm the youngest or if its just innate.

I'm the middle of three girls. My sisters like to gang up on me and I've gotten to the point where I just ignore them.

I think you said it yourself...they know how to get to you. Maybe if you stop letting it get to you, they'll stop trying to push your buttons. You can't change them, but you can change how you react to them and that might just be the key to get them to back off.

I know what you are all saying.........BUT.............


My oldest sister is very ill.....she had lung cancer two years ago and maybe battling another type now.......

then the second oldest sister is leaving today for Florida for the winter......I will be able to chat with her on the IM every night though........

and my baby sister and I are like this......closer then ever.....oh yes siblings can get you to grit your teeth and wonder why........but

life is to short to think ever that you would not want one of them around......

well as i tell my kids (dd 11/ds 8) when they start arguing, teasing, roughhousing...."you better be careful he/she's the only one you've got so if you break him/her-you're not going to get another" (this seems to work allot better around the holidays when they realize they can compare notes on their santa letters, avoid duplicate requests, and get double the gift potential -if they share ).
