Last month my husband and I went to WDW. We flew Ted both ways. I am ashamed of myself because I have a bone to pick. Yes, some of you will be offended, and I do apologize in advance.
So, what is my problem?
On our return flight, my husband and I did not get to sit next to each other. I was fine with that as we have always volunteered to move if a family needs to sit together.
My problem, and I do mean it is my problem and know I shouldn't feel this way, is that the person sitting next to me took up about 3 inches of my seat. Now remember here, this is Ted and the seats are only 18" wide at best. Obviously he couldn't put the arm rest down and it didn't go up all the way either; therefore this was also very uncomfortable. I couldn't ask to be moved to another seat because the plane was full.
The man was also very rude. He kept telling me to scoot over as he didn't have enough room. I was almost sitting on the lap of the man next to me, who had the aisle seat. He also turned around and screamed at the little boy behind to, "stop kicking the G*****n seat!" and called the boy a name. Come on here, couldn't you try a nicer approach?
When we finally landed, about an hour late because of weather, he told me and the man who had the aisle seat to get the #&$@ out of the way. So maybe my problem is that I am upset because he was so rude.
I know I am going to get flamed for this thread. I am ready for that. I am just upset that I spent a lot of money for a seat on a plane and I had to share part of that seat with a cranky man. Should I have said something before we took off? Is there really anything the flight attendants could have done? What would you have done?
Sorry, PD, for the long and very unsexy post.
