Ride roller coasters at my local Six Flags in NJ. It's going to be fun to ride coasters in December and a few days in January without having to travel far.
But all the lights should be very attractive. I saw a few promo photos of it.
All I want to do is save money! After the last two winters my heating, electric and plowing bills were higher than ever. I had a lot of other sunk costs like vet bills and stuff relating to a car accident. Also had a furlough at work that amounted to 5% of my take-home pay. I've already cut my spending and after this California trip that's it for awhile. Luckily our lodging, and park tickets are free and I had miles for my plane ticket so this is a super cheap trip.I'm looking forward to it too. But I hear that about half the park will be closed during the Holiday season. No El ToroBut all the lights should be very attractive. I saw a few promo photos of it.
Are you aware that Six Flags is having a "bonus" weekend right now? They were open Friday, yesterday and today. A wine festival is also going on. I took Friday afternoon off and went to get a few extra rides in since I missed Fright Fest this year. (Went to Fright Fest at Six Flags Magic Mountain in LA on October 30).

I was there on Friday as well to get my final rides on Kingda Ka, Zumanjaro and El Toro for the season. I never got to El Toro because I had heard it was having breakdowns all day and ran out of time at the end of the night.
It would have been nice to have El Toro running for Holiday In The Park, supposedly it has a lot of trouble running in the colder weather compared to some of the other coasters so I guess that might be why it is closed.
