Something Wierd we do not know about you???

I have a collection of mint - still in the package Harry Potter action figures. When I bought my new cellphone, I chose that particular one because it would be able to play the theme from the first movie. I have made myself two costumes to wear to Harry Potter related events. I even made my son and myself wands from pieces of graphite fishing rods, complete with a special "core", like a tinsel wrapped feather. I made a Harry Potter charm bracelet for myself, collecting silver charms I related to the book series (was only missing the eyeglasses) but stopped wearing it after my silver stag and goblet charms broke. I bought myself a new t-shirt for my 39th birthday this past Nov. I was so excited the WBshop finally made a Chudley Cannons shirt.

Am I weird enough? :lmao:

:lmao: I used to eat Milk Bones. I was like 6 when I did this... old enough to know better. I liked the reddish colored ones the best!

My husband and my son eat the plain ones, light tan colored, with peanut butter. We don't even HAVE a dog...:confused3

Hmm... growing up I had a cow that died by falling in a ditch. I also had a dog who got bitten in the eye by a snake.

Ok, I know I am not one of the posters who is on the Community Board all the time posting, but I do read a lot of posts and will post if I have some helpful info. I guess my point is that there is probably a lot about me you don't know, but here is my strangest:

Water.

I can't get into a previously wet shower. I have to be the first in the shower. I really don't get it myself, because I turn the water on and let it run until it is hot, but I am so skeeved if the shower stall was wet before I got into it. I can't do it.

Also if there is water on the counter in the bathroom at work. That skeeves me and I can't wipe it up because I'm skeeved.

I can't stand when my bottles of soda/water sweat. I wrap a napkin or paper towel around them so I don't have to feel the water. I also have to have something under my drink so it doesn't puddle, that skeeves me!

Just for the record I do shower everyday and can wash my hands, I'm not a dirty person, it's just the above that get to me. Everyone who knows the way I am think that it strange. I guess I kind of do too, but it is one of my silly squirks that I live with.

Don't hate me because I am strange. :upsidedow :rotfl:

Omg, I'm the same way! I thought I was the only one! :rotfl:

I once flew to LA for a blind date. (Desperate much?)
I go to WDW just to buy Potato Head pieces (for me).
I used to play Pilgrim for a living. (probably no secret, given my avatar!)

I like to watch Bear in the Big Blue House when I'm home sick. I all ways want to got to Disney Playhouse live when we are at DW, but fear I would look strange being the only big person dancing away, and screaming "Bear, Bear!"

Sometimes I won't use things cause I don't want to ruin them. For instance, years ago my parents gave us a really pretty bedspread & very nice sheets. They've been on the bed maybe once each.

I do rubber stamping and have some nice papers, handmade, decorative, etc. I don't want to use them cause then they'll be gone. But that's what they're for. It's not like I can't buy more.

I have too many oddities to list....but I'll share a few....

I hate to blow my nose or hear others blow their noses....It seriously makes me gag!!

I have to organize my grocery cart....I hate it when people throw things in their carts all whilly-nilly!!!

I have to have a spotless kitchen before I can cook in it!!!

I can't drink tap water....even though we have a Brita filter....I can cook with it and use it to make jiuce....but I can't drink it!!!!

Enough for today....

WOW, I'm glad I am not the only one too! You're my soul mate. :hippie:

I must confess that even the pools in Disney skeeve me because in the pools and the hot tubs I can see the film build up from the oils on peoples bodies on the tile around the edge of the pool - EEWWHH. For the sake of my children though I have set aside my issues and have gone in the pool (I just stay away from the edge so I don't get grossed out!)

lol I HATE swimming! My dd is practically a fish though, so I go in the pool with her sometimes and I seriously cringe the entire time. I also stand on my toes or the sides of my feet in the shower, because I hate the feeling of wet floor beneath my feet. I can't walk barefoot in the rain or anything either. lol.

After reading these, I really think that I'm normal!!!

The only thing that I can think of is that I hate to make phone calls...really hate to. I can answer the phone and am ok talking on the phone, depending on who it is. And can sometimes talk for awhile, but have a hard time making a call, especially if I don't know who will answer it or if it's for something that I dread, like making a drs appt... :rolleyes1

I'm sure that I will think of other things, though... :)

I do this!!! Not the same items, but same idea. I dont buy many "special" things, so when I do I dont want them to go away...even though I intend to use them. I have a bra I bought at Vic's Secret over a year ago - I was SO happy when I found it in the right size. Now it is still in the pretty bag w/ the pretty pink tissue paper sitting on my shelf in the closet. I  it......but cant make myself wear it! Nothing seems SPECIAL enough!!

I talk to my pets as though they can understand me. But I have a feeling this is not too weird.

I cannot stand touching cotton balls. If a bottle of aspirin has that cotton ball on top when you first open it, I have to have someone else remove it.

Also, even the thought of anything cottony near my mouth makes me insane. One time my dentist put a piece of gauze in my mouth and I flew out of the chair. And the worst thing to me is to see kids sucking on wet mittens. It really gives me chills.
