Something Wicked this MAY Comes! 18 nights @ RPR & SFR. An April/May 2025 TR

Bar Helios is AMAZING!!!

Helios hotel is beautiful, we got a tour of it tonight from the VIP manager, lovely guy. It is stunning inside and out.

Seeing Fernando and the team was just lovely, so many familiar faces but in new surroundings. Food was incredible and the cocktails are spectacular! Can’t wait to go back next week!

Made it safely to the Radisson in good time, roads were clear and made it here just after 11am.

As Kyle had stayed in Manchester again last night, he met us here for lunch today, his hotel was only 15 minutes away from here, so it made sense to join us and it was so lovely seeing him and the medal.

He looks and feels fabulous after yesterday, so good to see.

After lunch we brought him up to the Executive Lounge for an hour or so, he just left to drive home, but he had the next two days off, although he didn’t need any recuperating time after all. Weather looks amazing so I think he’ll enjoy some time chilling in the sun, even if it is on his balcony.

For us, relaxing and chilling now. And hopefully get a good sleep tonight!!

Hope you’re all good ☺️
I keep asking my son this too -- but he is not nearly as good of a runner as Kyle, so maybe Kyle can explain... how do you "run" when not chasing a tiny yellow ball? Asking for a friend....

Seriously, though, what a fantastic accomplishment! Bravo!!!

Can’t wait to hear all about it!
We are headed down June 6-21 so our teacher daughter can come. We stay at the Vistana by WDW. Usually we add 3 nights at HRH, but we are going to wait for the madness to die down with Epic opening. Lots of Vlogs are loving all the food and drinks at Helios, and are finding the theme park food to be very elevated.

lol……you know me Alice, I don’t even understand running in any form :P

Yes, we are very proud of him 🥰

Yay!

Congrats to Kyle and love your new hair!

I hope y'all have the best, most relaxing time ever!

Thanks so much, I am loving the short style here, so much faster to get ready!

Thank you, we certainly are having fun and loving the weather too :sunny:

Oh you’ll have a lovely trip I’m sure and nice to have your daughter with you too for a lovely break, I’m sure as a teacher she will be ready for it.

I’m hoping to find the same with the food there, so far Bar Helios has blown us away with everything they offer so hopefully the park will be the same 😊

Waking up to another gorgeous morning :sunny:

Heading to Epic today :cheer2:

Bit of a surprise to be honest, so we look forward to seeing some of it, not planning to spend all day there, might go in a bit later and stay till it’s dark to see Monsters area lit up.

Happy Friday 🥰

I’ve been watching videos of all the details in each portal. They are all stunning. Isle of Berk is amazing with the carvings and lights in the restaurants and stores. You have years of photography ahead of you, with your eye for details.

The whole park is stunning, Isle of Berk was very colourful and yes each area is stunning.

We didn’t eat in that area as the food didn’t appeal, but so many picture ops!

Well, back home after a lovely long day in Epic.

Beautiful. We only wandered through the dragon area, not much for us here, it is cute, but wouldn’t go back.

Didn’t do Mario at all due to not being interested, it does look good though.

Potter is spectacular!! Absolutely incredible and Ministry is exceptional. This whole area is completely immersive and detailed beyond belief.

The jewel in the crown is Monsters area. This is amazing and again, detailed beyond belief and with the park being not busy you do get to see it so well.

Monsters Unchained, The Frankenstein Experiment was our favourite ride, it is amazingly themed. Showed a 20 minute wait which was really only around 10 minutes we did this one six times, incredible.

Food was a hit and miss. We shared a meal in Cafe L’air De La Sirene, it wasn’t the warmest of food but lovely. The crème brûlée was ok, lavender lemonade was really nice.

Das Stakehaus was mediocre at best, staff are excellent though.

We ended up having dinner in Flora Taverna in Helios and it was perfect before heading back into the park for Monsters in the dark.

This for us is a one day park, but a full day for sure, it is beautiful in daylight, but night time changes it completely. We arrived around 11.15 and stayed till park close, saw everything and did everything we wanted to do.

Welcome along Jocelyn

(Smilies aren’t working this morning)

Good to see you and happy you’ve joined us again!

I hope you enjoy this one, I always worry we don’t do that much, but I can ramble along apparently lol……

Happy you’re here (insert smiley waving face)

Wow, just Wow! Epic looks fabulous!
I have read that the HP ride used the same "arm" as at Forbidden Journey? That ride bothered me with the feeling of tipping over the back. I heard that it is worse than FJ in that regard? Is that really true? I absolutely don't like the feeling of falling over backward and won't ride FJ because of that. However, I will ride this one at least once. I trust your report on this ride, so I hope the other one I read is wrong!

I was going to try the creme brulee but have decided against it. It's good to hear that Helios has decent restaurants and bar.

I was debating one or two days at Epic, so at least I know that one day would be enough time to do it all. I will probably book another day if we think we need to do and see more.

Enjoying your trip report so much, and of course the wonderful pictures.:)

It's been a good while (a few years) since I have been on disboards but I had to start back by reading a shumigirl trip report. Awesome as always. I hope you and Tom have a great time in Orlando and I can't wait to read along.

With FJ Ruth, I can do it once maybe twice, then I feel a bit off. Frankenstein Experiment I could do 4 or 5 times in a row and didn’t feel nauseated at all. You do move around a lot, brace your neck a little, but not too much, it was fun and not as involved as FJ if that makes sense.

The crime brûlée was not deep, it wasn’t expensive but it wasn’t a lot.

Oh Lordy Helios is amazing! Both restaurants are incredible.

Other folks might prefer two days, but as we have no interest in the dragon thingy or the Mario guy, one day is more than enough for us, but those two lands that are Potter and Monsters are fabulous!

Thank you Ruth, glad you’re enjoying it all and thank you for saying so :)
