Something to think about

This will give us something to think about while we wait for Pete's announcement. Most of us have a pretty good idea of when we arriving and leaving WDW. Maybe some of us are arriving/departing MCO at the same time as others and we could try to share a ride to/from WDW. Last year, KarenNY and I arrived at almost the same time. She was gracious enough to offer a ride to anyone arriving at that time. It was so nice to drive directly to the resort, instead of standing in line to get on the Mears shuttle. I know I'm arriving on Dec. 1st and leaving on Dec. 12th. I don't have my flights yet, but I know for sure those our my dates. So what do you think? How does this sound?

Great idea Barb.

I don't have any 'dates' set in stone yet, but once I do I'll post them. Tentatively planning on Dec. 1st through Dec. 10th.

Great idea Barb. For DIScon 2001, I was going to take the Mears shuttle, but then decided to rent a car and share a ride to/from WDW with another person who was attending DIScon. With the unfortunate events of 9/11, this other person decided not to attend, so I didn't have anyone to share the ride with. I fully understood the situation and decided to rent the car anyway (and I'm glad that I did).

For DIScon 2002, I'm planning to drive down from Ohio, arriving on 12/1. I'd offer to pick somene up along the way, but my Saturn is probably going to be pretty well loaded down for the trip. If I were driving our minivan, I would have been more than happy to shuttle one or more people from the airport to WDW. Perhaps DIScon 2003.

Okay Barb and Tia, I am planning on getting in on Dec. 1st as well.......what time are you all thinking of arriving......(wouldn't this be a fun carload !!!!!)

I am Possibly thinking of renting a car, but still not sure.
Right now I plan to leave on Dec. 10 or 11. DH gave me 1st a class ticket for my birthday (no, he isn't giving up his "parsimonious ways"....he used FF miles, but that's fine with me!), so
the coming home date is still undecided.

KarenNY is sweet, isn't she? She gave Katelyn and I a ride back to the airport when we left!!

I'm not sure yet when Kevin and I will be arriving. Probably either Nov. 30 or Dec. 1st. And, I don't know yet if we'll be renting a car either.

Gee, I'm sure helpful, aren't I?

I'm arriving in Orlando on Nov. 29th, but spending the first 2 nights at my mom's house. I'll be driving past the airport on the way to the Swan on Dec. 1st, and would be glad to swing by and pick-up people. I'm leaving on the 8th but won't have the rental car then, so it will probably be Mears for me.

Decisions, decisions,

I was planning to drive, but... now there is the Dec 8th MVMCP to consider and if I drive I have to leave on Sunday. If I fly I could probably stay until Monday. So I might fly. If I fly I will probably rent a car. At least one night or day I need to spend a few hours with my dad. Luckily he is moving to Kissimee this year so I won't have to do the all day road trip to Sebring again!

It was really great to have Barb's company for the ride over from the airport last year. Katelyn and Debbie helped keep the ride back to the airport from being depressing ( I always hate going home). I'm arriving Dec 2 (probably around 10:30AM) and leaving Dec 9 (probably about 5:30PM). I'll be renting an economy car so I'll have room for a few passengers.

I am also arriving on the 1st (Ray's list doesn't show me because I told him the 2nd - which is my first full day there!). I will be getting in around 4:30 pm on Sunday. I have not made any arrangements for transport from the airport yet - so it would be WONDERFUL to link up with others and share a ride. Let me know!
