I know this question has been asked before but I'm looking for a fresh perspective...

DBF's birthday is coming up and I'd like to surprise him with something "special" to do when we're at WDW next month. Last year I booked Blue Man Group tickets and we had a fab time. I have looked into La Nouba but I'm not sure how much he'd enjoy it. I've also looked into HHN but I've read that the queues get crazy and it works out too expensive once the Express Pass has been factored in (I would have booked for September 24th, if that makes any difference).

If you have any ideas, they will be gladly received! I'm looking to spend around £100 in total.

I've seen a deal for cirque de soleil tickets for $53 on the cirque de soleil website for midweek shows in sept/oct. You need to register as a member then go to orlando offers.

If he enjoys shows in general I think i'd give it a try - always gets fantastic reviews.

We did a private dinner at the grand floridian on a balcony and watch wishes, ours was a little more tahan your budget as we had our wedding meal but u might be able to bring it to your budget

First time DBF and I went to Orlando together I persuaded him to go to La Nouba - I was a gymnast, so I really wanted to go, and he wasn't too bothered, but he absolutely loved it and was glad he went.

If you want to go somewhere for a meal then I can highly recommend Morton's Steakhouse just off Sand Lake Road in Dr Phillips area. For 2 people a main course, sides and a couple of drinks each doesn't get you much change out of $150, but the meat is to die for, by far the best I've ever had - They also present the menu to you.

Ooh, a deal? Sounds good! Off for a gander...

DBF would LOVE that restaurant but I'm a vegetarian! :rotfl: Besides, we won't have a car and we're on the DDP but maybe it's one for a future trip, thanks. :)

Friends of ours have just got back and said the cirque show was amazing, I'm not a fan of clowns so its not something I would want to see.

Or what about one of the tours that they offer? Segway tour round EPCOT is $99 and gets really good reviews for example.

If you are looking for something other than dinner or a show we have just returned and we took part in a Segway Tour at Epcot. My hubby was very excited as he is in to gadgets and cars so it was right up his street. We had an hour course for $35 but you could book a 2 hour one for $99 and the cast member said if you book the 2 hour one for early in the morning you get to go around the world showcase on a segway before other guests are there!!

Was def an experience and I know we will be booking the 2 hour for hubby next time we go!

HHN gets the vote from me.....a total one off event which is just fantastic (if not a little scary!! ok..its a lot scary!)
