Something must be terribly wrong

I called this morning and got all the ADRs I wanted for Easter Weekend and the first part of that week. Not only did I get the restaurants but I also got the exact times I asked for. :O

I was so surprised that I got off the phone and googled the 2008 holidays to make sure I hadn't booked my trip for the wrong weekend! I didn't.

So does that mean we'll have the park all to ourselves for spring break????

I just made ADRS for a trip beginning the day before New Year's Eve and was very pleasantly surprised with our availability. Guess that means the parks will be empty then, too!!

Hey BelleBeast's family and my family will have the place to ourselves!! heheh Maybe it has to do with the new dining plan!

DVCLiz...woohoo on your NY's plans! Glad to see that people are getting what they want!!

Last night I only planned a few of my ADRs because I really figured I wouldn't get anything I wanted so now I need to go back and finish filling in the open dates.

We will be there that week too and I was on the phone at 7 am because I wanted CRT...well I had done as instructed on this board to do so , to get through the line quicker and when the CM got on the phone I said, " I NEED CINDERELLA'S ROYAL TABLE DINNER"..she said OK, and I was thinking HURRY UP LADY!!! So she gets in the computer and was like "what time do you want to dine?"...I said anytime after 4 pm and she said...well I have 4, 5 , 6 , 7 pm etc....I was like WHAT???? I said, " This is for the dinner right?" She said YES!!! So I told her 6 pm, and got my ressie!! that was TOO EASY!!!

She let me book for the rest of our trip and I got everything and all the times I wanted as well!! That would be AWESOME if the park is not packed then!!

I guess you can thank Disney for not (yet?) releasing any free dining codes for that time I know some would think I'm weird, but I'm hoping like crazy there is NO free dining during our May trip. Sure, bring on the resort codes, but I'll happily pay out of pocket for my food to avoid crazy restaurant crowds.

I doubt there will be any free dining going on for May. That is a busier time for them so they would not need to be attracting folks ..or at least I would not think so//

You can probably thank the changes to the 2008 Dining Plan for that. I had a feeling the popularity of the plan was going to drop drastically after all the changes came out. It looks like I was right.

That's awesome! I can't believe it's so easy for Easter. But hey, don't complain. I think the Dining Plan is the biggest culprit. Yay to open ADRs!!!!

Being that Easter will be the same week as alot of "SPring Breaks", I think it will be crowded. After seeing posts here that ADRs were being made, I called this morning to make our Easter reserversations (thinking there was a new policy about making ADRs before 180 days). Was told by a very nice CM that only if you area staying on property can you make ADRs before the 180 days. She said tomorrow morning will be very busy because the rest of the time slots will be released and those not staying on property will be calling. Unfortunately, we aren't staying on resort property this time, so I will be one of the many calling for an ADR on Easter Sun. Maybe that explains the vast openings and selections? Never realized that there was a policy change for resort guests and ADRs. Where have I been?!
