We are on day 3 of a short trip. At ak today Donald bfast. Donald didn't even let me get a pic. 10 seconds with my son max. Goofy skipped us and after asking for him we had to wait 20 minutes for him to come back. Then nemo was great as usual. On to dinosaur where after 30 min in a line that was supposed to be 20 we were told it was broke and we would get fast passes for later. When we actually got out of the building we were told the man was wrong and we were given nothing. Then it took over 40 minutes to get a burger at the Dino quick service. Then people saving tables with no food so no place for 2 people to sit. This is on a 6 day with it being a recommended park. Pretty sure I will be renting my DVC out in the future and going to universal until they get their act together.
 
Do you have a car by any chance? If you do take a drive over to Celebration, eat at one of the restaurants in town, and walk around the lake in the center of town. Sounds like you need to get out of the bubble for a bit. Weekends at AK are really crowded. Sounds like a bad day all the way around. Hope things improve.

I was thinking about starting a thread about the poor service we had at the Dinosaur quick service too. Sounds like it wasn't a glitch, but they really don't have their act together.:sad2:

I hate that people save seats before they have food. Saw quite a bit of that during my trip too. :sad2: Sorry you are having a rough time, hopefully this is one bad day, and the rest will be great.
 
Waited 40 min for bus from ak to mk. Have A&E for this evening or we would bail for the day. It has been the same every other day as well. Lots of broken rides and testy cms I'm afraid for the Christmas crowds.
 

Did you go to Guest Services before you left AK? If not, try talking to either the Concierge Desk at the hotel or to Guest Services in MK when you arrive. Let them know everything you stated here- calmly and politely- and see if they can do anything to restore the magic to your trip. Seems like someone should be able to help you have a better evening.

I don't agree. While it sounds like the OP is not having a trip where everything clicks along, nothing is bad enough that they should go to Guest Services, looking for some sort of compensation to make everything better.

I don't agree with your dis agreement. While I don't argue these are small things and not really anything to raise a stink about, and I may not approach guest services with the attitude that they owe me, I think in general the cm's want you to have a magical trip, and if things are just not working for you, it never hurts to let them know. They usually have a little magic tucked away for those rainy days.

I would ask for the FP from Dinosaur to be moved to one at MK since they are no longer in AK. It is typical Disney practice to give an anytime FP for a ride that breaks down, so the OP should have been given that FP- or been allowed to go right back in and ride if it was operational again. The CM outside prevented that from happening for some reason, it appears.

I also feel that the TH characters should have not been rushed through their table, but I know I have heard reports of that being an issue there lately.

I am not a proponent of "looking for compensation" unless there is an issue, but certainly a make-up FP should be able to be done to make up for Dinosaur.
 
MK had the fp system down much of this late afternoon... No fourth fast pass and no changing fast pass. My mb quit unlocking my door once, I have been unable to make charges using the mb on a few occasions. Etc
