Something I fought as long as I could, a picture included

If you are worrying that people will say "Patrick! You got new shoes!", just tell them you just got new batteries!! That would explain the GLOW!!:D :D :D

Dang it! Blondie beat me to it! "White shoe syndrome!"

LOL, Snuggles!!!

Congrats on the new shoes!

The little tips on the laces are still in good shape....
OK, I'll add a piece of useless trivia knowledge to the conversation: the name of the little tip is an aglet.

I think your old shoes look just fine. I hate to shop for shoes also. Yes, I am of the female persuasion, but I hate shoes...high heels...pointy toes...I am wearing 2+ year old sneakers right now, which I had to buy because the old shoes broke in half. I agree - wear those new things when you mow the grass to break them in.

nice shoes, Pat!! :) I will step on them for you to dirty them up. :p

Those shoes are AWFUL!!! Have you had them since high school? ;) I like the new ones though...very snazzy! ;)

ROFL Cathy!! That's exactly what we did back in grammar school to ALL new shoes!

Patrick, maybe try a compromise with Ellen. Allow her to run those old ones through the washer (a FEW times)! :p

Otherwise, you should have a Sunglass Warning on your thread!!! Those things are WHITE!!!!

Actually, I'm one that doesn't care for the look of "new" sneakers. I do like getting new sneakers, but I hate that glow in the dark look. You know deep in your heart , Patrick, that new sneakers will be good for your feet in the long run. So what you need to do is break the new ones in so they will be in perfect condition by the time Dec. rolls around. Like Kim said, a run through the washer, a few stomps in the dirt, some rolling around in the grass, a walk through the woods, etc. should all help to make those new sneaks look and feel like the comfy, old sneakers that you love. :teeth: ;)

Didn't anyone ever tell you you shouldn't wear white shoes after Labor Day? What are you guys thinking???;)

Some people are not concerned with clothes etiquette...lol ;)

I dunno...were those other sneakers originally white???

Patrick I think the old shoes still have life in them! They just need a little cleaning up!

I have a hard time buying shoes that actually feel good on my feet so I've become quite the expert at cleaning up the old ones! :)

Patrick, you can use your old sneaks for lawn mowing shoes! lol At least that's what I use my old ones for when they get dirty. ;)
