Something good with Disney food

The Anchors Aweigh Sandwich at Columbia Harbor House was a very nice surprise. I think tuna salad sandwich and I picture runny with too much mayonnaise. Not this sandwich! Good amount of tuna, lettuce, thick slice of tomato, and the multi grain bread was perfect.

Keeping with the positive only theme on this thread...

Sanaa is such a BEAUTIFUL restaurant! I could be content with just ordering three pieces on naan for myself! The relishes and chutneys for the naan are fantastic! I love the native singers and CMs. Oh, I would have my own French press of Kenya AA, as well. Bring me a dish of chai creme for dessert and I am a happy girl.

The Wave has terrific food! Our service on our first visit (lunch) was slowwww, but our service we had at dinnertime last May might just be the best we have encountered. My sustainable fish and it's sides were to-die-for! I loved the salad with grapefruit and avocado. The bread was just great! Everyone in our party of nine raved about their food.

Kona--even if the rest of the meal fails in some regard, we can always count on great, I mean GREAT sticky wings! How about a meal consisting of the bread with macadamia butter, wings and a caramel banana creme brulee and a French press of 100% Kona coffee? We have found these to be consistent items to order at Kona and we have dined there (maybe) a dozen times or more.

Gardenview Lounge--Tea (Eros, Mad Hatter or Princess Breakfast), trifle, strawberries and cream, and those amazing mousse filled swan pastries....can't go wrong!

Wolfgang Puck Express--I think we have loved everything we have ever ordered...

Artist Point--mushroom soup, berry cobbler with the house made berry ice cream

Boma--Everyone in our party can find a couple of platefuls of items we love. Of course, there are some not-so-good items--but PLENTY of other food items to make up for it!

Marrakesh--good theme park food--love the couscous!

The Mara--better than average hotel QS--try the stew in a breadbowl or the African chicken pita with couscous salad. Can't beat the dessert options (zebra domes, etc.).

Just got back. Paradiso was good. DS is even more picky than I am and got a grilled chicken sandwich just the way he wanted it. He said it was his best meal of our trip. Big River is good. The almond chicken was delish. I got the sauce on the side and I am glad I did. It is very sweet. I also had the chicken dinner from WL room svc and it was really good. It was $23 for 1/2 chicken, mashed potatoes and pea pods. Got a nice loaf of corn bread too. Considering the price of some TS dinners. I thought this was very reasonable for room svc. Most of our other meals were CS and they were all OK. Roaring Forks has those shredded potatoes for breakfast. Luv them!

We just got back yesterday and we have a new favorite...La Hacienda de San Angel! OMG it was HANDS DOWN the best meal we had ever had at WDW! I have eaten at Le Cellier and California Grill and Hacienda beat them both. The salsas were GREAT as well as the fresh corn tortillas. We got the grill platter for two (called La Hacienda on the menu) and it was delicious...we couldn't stop eating! We made little tacos out of all the grilled meats and it was TO DIE FOR. The service was also awesome...we had JC and he was attentive and super sweet! The views of World Showcase are also really beautiful :thumbsup2

fried chicken at 50's is great the chicken has flavor all the way thru not just on the breading, and after reading bad reviews on the rose and crown i was nervous but ate there on 12/3 for first time and it was awsome the beer flight was great and the sunday roast was awsome. this will be a must every trip.

We enjoyed most of our meals on our trip last week but a couple of standouts was the sushi sampler at California grill, breakfast at Captains Grille, the pizza for lunch at Via Napoli and the tuna sandwich and clam chowder at Columbia Harbor House

I have been very happy with Disney food. We have done the DDP twice and are doing it again this summer. We love Lecellier's fillet and cream cheese mashed potatoes. The chocolate on chocolate whiskey cake is GREAT!!!! We also enjoy the Crystal Palace lunch buffet and I have never noticed a decline in the food. Actually Lecellier was much better in 2010 then in 2008.

we've made a lot of trips the last few years, and had a "bucket list" item to try and get to as many Disney restaurants as we could (the ones on the DDP lists...we're fans of the dining plans.)

Just counted up...we've been to 39 tables service and 23 counter service. Of that total, there's only 3 table service we would not return to. Favorites...Kona Cafe, Le Cellier, The Wave, Raglan Road, Flying Fish, Boma breakfast.

So yes, we LIKE Disney food. We do not see any decline in quality. We thoroughly enjoy our Disney meals. Are they perfect? No. But we don't get perfection outside the World, either. My meals at home aren't perfect either (and I have to do all the work on those:sad2:)

I loved the vegetable lasagna at POP & their tye dye cheesecake. The cheesecake from WCC was absolutely wonderful too. Too stuffed from the meal so we brought it back to room & had for bkfst another day. Had a great bkfst at CRT last Sept also.

loved boma, even my kids loved boma, we will visit twice next trip
love everything WPE
and boulangerie de france :lovestruc
