Something good with Disney food

The Kona Island sushi bar. What a wonderful addition to the Poly and to Kona Cafe's menu!

Not new, but California Grill's sushi never fails to impress - always fresh, well presented, and delicious.

Expensive but excellent, Tutto Italia managed to come awfully close to the perfect classic Italian meal last time we were there (when it was a new addition) - mozzarella & tomatoes, lasagna, and lemon sorbetti.

Of the new additions since our last trip, I think I'm most looking forward to the new candy shoppe in Germany. Just looking at the early reviews, the pictures look so amazing that I can almost smell the caramel!

I wish I could find time for either Kouzzina or Via Napoli (or both!) on our next trip, but alas it is only 5 nights and we just can't eat everywhere, even with the deluxe dining package.

I saw no major change in quality between our first trip in '98 and the one we took in March. Both trips had some disappointments, and both had some pleasant surprises. All in all, I enjoyed the food a lot! I'm still dreaming about the lobster tortellini from Cape May Cafe. I also order ribs every time I go out to eat and have yet to find any that I liked as much as Disney's. Were there some flops? Of course. But for the most part, we love the food at Disney :goodvibes

Count us in the LOVE group! High points for us are Yak & Yeti, Citrico's, Teppan Edo, Sci-fi, Le Cellier, and Kona Cafe

CS that bear notice are Capn Cooks, Wolfgang Puck, Cosmic Rays, and Pirata/Perico.

Lots of places continue to give good food and service. We enjoy the parks and the food!!!

So I've been a pretty big critic of Disney food lately (I admit it) but I do love the food at Beaches and cream. The onion rings and milkshakes are really good

I LOVE the fried chicken from 50s Prime Time. I get all white meat and it is delicious. I sub green beans for the collard greens.

I love the Clambake at Cape May Cafe. I love I can eat all the steamed clams and snow crab I want.

I love the popcorn available at the snack carts. Just make sure you go to one that is popping it on the cart, not the ones that have it bagged and dumped. The one near the Castle is good. The one near the Hall of President's was pretty bad.

I love the French Onion soup at Chef's.

I love Restaurant Marakesh. We always make sure we have a lunch there at least once every trip. Also the Hoop de Doo is a real crowd pleaser. The food is fine, but we always go for the show. My favourite in MK is Cosmic Rays. Good food value. And in AK we always go to Flame Tree Barbecue.

Always liking Flying Fish and California Grill.
And now we regularly visit Blue Zoo and Shula's, two "non-Disney" spots, but at WDW so we think of them as Disney restaurants.

There is nothing in the world like fresh popped Disney popcorn! It is one of my DH's best memories as a child and we always have to have some!

The best fried chicken I have ever eaten was served to me at the 50's Primetime Cafe. I know it's just fried chicken but it left a mark on my palate! :yay:

It is always getting negative reviews but I really enjoyed Coral Reef! I went in with very low expectations and honestly the only reason I booked it was b/c my Uncle wanted to try it and it turned out to be one of our favorite meals. I got the steak which was very nice and then I got the chocolate wave dessert and OMG...heaven! I just checked the menu and its no longer there?!? We are supposed to be posting positive stuff on this thread and now my positive thing turned negative b/c they don't have it anymore, what goes on?!? O wait its on the lunch but not dinner menu? Confused! anyway, here it is

My son got the chocolate wave 2 weeks ago, it was there then! He would agree with you, it was awesome! And yes, we were there for lunch.

The food memories that bring me back to childhood.. The fr4ozen chocolate covered bananas (who remembers those?)
Breakfast at the the kona Cafe.. the smell of the poly .. love it!
Chef Mickeys.. is it 5 star?? Nope but it is Quintessential WDW, and I love it everytime..
Le Cellier.. Its a little piece of heaven to me.. I almost didn't book this time because of all the reviews.. But, I like what I like..

My trip in May I have incorporated a bunch of places I have never been to.. LBT.. Can't wait
Il Mulino.. heard great things about this place..
and 50's prime time..

We enjoyed so much food last April!
Garden Grill - esp. loved the fish & strawberry dessert
50's PT - yummy meatloaf, fried chicken and PBJ shakes
T-Rex - chicken fried steak, ribs, lasagna, tortellni - yum!
Chefs - loved the ham & cheese sandwich & mac n cheese at lunch, DS13 loved the lobster bisque
Ohana - the dumplings, noodles and broccoli were yummy, we didn't even need the meat!
CP breakfast - pooh's puffed french toast
Safari breakfast - mealie pap and the other stuff too!
Sci Fi - burgers were very good
Teppan Edo - seaweed salad & the dipping sauces for the beef, chicken and shrimp were tasty
Tony's - DS11 loved the salmon and the zucchini sticks
WCC - the skillet was yummy (but too much food!, sorry that might be a little negative, but not really!)
Desserts - Mickey bars, ice cream sandwiches from Main St. Bakery and Cupcakes from Starring Rolls.
and lastly, our favorite of all, B&C - double cheeseburgers, no way Jose's and the Kitchen Sink (not all at the same time)

For the most part I really enjoy the food at Disney, especially since I don't have to cook it or clean up!! My two favourite restaurants are Le Cellier and Yak & Yeti. For our upcoming trip I am looking forward to revisiting my favourites and trying some new spots, especially Cape May Clam Bake. My oldest daughter will be a Disney adult this trip, and she already has most of her meals planned! We love to read the dining reviews together and look at the food pictures. Oh, I almost forgot....the thing I am most looking forward to is Karamel Kuche. I think I'll end up using all my snack credits there in one day!

I am glad to hear some positives, we are going in two months for the first time and I am overwhelmed with all the opinions, trying to pick, etc- so now I have a few more places with positive reviews- thanks!

We have been dining at California Grill for years and we still love it. I wish I had one of there great flatbreads for lunch right now. We also really enjoy Sanna. We've dined there 3 times and loved it on each visit.

I loved the Rose and Crown at Epcot. After reading bad reviews, I almost changed my ADRs, but nothing else that appealed to me was available. We were seated by the water, during Illuminations. It was magical, even impressing my DH, who is drug along with me whether he wants to experience things or not. Oh yeah, the food was exceptional also.

We love Disney food!!!! The breakfast lasagna at Crystal Palace. The chicken pot pie was huge and delicious at 50's Primetime. Italy is one of my favorites. Chef Mickey's is fun as is the Tucker House's breakfast buffet. Love the cream cheese stuffed pastry at Cinderella's breakfast. LOVE Earl of Sandwich! I wish we were going more days so we could go to more places!!!

We had great food and great service at:

Ohana's for dinner
Biergarten for dinner
1900 Park Fare for dinner

I'd do those three again in a heartbeat.

A lady that was sitting with us at the Biergarten in Germany, told me to try the potato leek soup and I did......I went back twice for another dish.......it was delicious.......

I love the cheddar cheese soup and pretzel bread at le Cellier...

our family loves to go to DTD and get the Earl of Sandwich's...they are so good and different from what we get here....I love the Full Montagu.....

Tutto Italia. We didnt do Italian meals there but we had the best steak that we could of cut with a fork......It had alot of flavor and was actually juicy too..We would go back there in a heartbeat......

We are not fussy people and we usually have the eggs, bacon/sausage, home fries and bisquit at the resorts for breakfast...

Variety for breakfast is Tusker House and was amazing. so many choices and we loved every bit of it...

thanks for the positive reviews of alot of places....Some I havent been to either......we will try Cape May Buffet on our next trip.
