Just wanted to let you guys know that I won't be posting hear for awhile due to what I think is an unfair infraction for just joking around on another part of the board and if ya get attacked and can't defend yourself without getting infractions for it then its just not worth it cause they have freedom of speech and I don't but anyway you homies are great.
So I guess its later Gators and Barb, Mac and the rest I hope to be able to meet you guys at Universal and love all you homies.

politics can cause a lot of points from the mods and hurt feelings among friends. i don't mind the talk about politics but will not have anyone here feel hurt due to it. i did receive some pm's about homies and politics not mixing well.

i'm sure i will and others will also, think of a name for you universallover before night falls tonight.....

Hey guys! I'm here. Actually, I've been here for awhile. I'm in a pisser of a mood, so I don't want it to spill over onto anyone else.

Tracie, oh the joys of parenthood. The bonus in this package is that we don't get to find out if we've screwed our kids up for another 30 years or so. Isn't that fun? They want to test Joshua for the gifted class. Everyone has weighed in on that one (my mom and oldest sister think I am horrible for even considering it... they just dump more homework on them you know... ) and I am taking everything into consideration. However, I am the one that lives with him... I am the one that knows him best... I will make the best decision I possibly can. Will I get it right every time? No way in hell. BUT, I will always try to do what is best for HIM using all the knowledge and love and pure gut instinct I can. Listen to what everyone has to say, take it into consideration, look at your kid, and do what is best for you. You are a great parent. A bad parent wouldn't care what kind of school experience their child was having.

He is your child and I know you will make the best decision for him.

I know that I had other things to say, but they are leaking out of my head now.

I feel like someone has attached a steel band across my head and lead weights are sitting on my shoulders. Perhaps I am tense? Ya think? Maybe a wee bit o' stress in my life? Pfffft.

Oh, here's a fun fact for the day. Did you know that marks made with Dry Erase markers will not wash out of denim, no matter what you treat the stain with?

I did not know that. Have you tried the new Shout for set in stains? Surprisingly that got a stain out of one of Ally's shirts that I had not been able to get out.

i just got home from school.
they closed the high school at 10:21 today.
they opened as usual at 7 this morning.

it has taken me 15 minutes to drive 1 mile home.

first time in 17 years the school has closed down due to weather.



12 to 17 " now in the predictions.


i have to go back and ketchup on all i missed this morning here.

I'm glad you are home safe & sound. Weather must be terrible if it is the first time they closed for the first time in 17 years!

Hi all-
Well... my kids ended up having a snow day today
Got 2 phone calls this morning. One at 6:10 am from one of the room moms and another phone call at 6:50 am from the other room mom- that school was closed today. Dh and I thought it was a joke at first, b/c it wasn't real bad out earlier this morning. We thought hte kids could survive school today.
But the school dist felt otherwise. So we have been lazy here this morning.
I did wake up with a massive headache this morning. Was hoping the kids go to school so I can have peace and quiet today. I guess the teachers get their peace and quiet today
DH went to work this morning.

Well better to have them safe at home. Sorry about the headache. Hope you are feeling better now. I sure know that need for alone time. I am needing some myself.

Ok, confession time from me. I have sinned. I have this crush on Matthew's band teacher I blush when I see his band teacher. SO not good.
He is cute lookin, tho. He is probably around my age. And I love music as well! I got to snap out of this. DH doesn't know.
I did share with his band teacher yest how well Matthew did with the clarinet at the Variety show last Sat. He was thrilled to hear the news!
