Helllloooooo?!!!! Anybody home?!

Is this our new home? To post pictures of our families? Tell stories no one else would ever read or care about? Discuss the most MUNDANE aspects of our lives with the only people in a box who either care or get a laugh?

Do I have the right place?!!!!

You couldn't BE any MORE in the RIGHT place! :lmao:

so, what did you tell him?
did you blame brab? :rolleyes1

Go ahead, blame me...I can handle myself. Hey!!, after what I said at the "firing" I am most confident and can defend myself against the best of 'em :thumbsup2

STOP MESSING UP, CARREERBUILDER!!!

:badpc::badpc::badpc::headache::headache:

I already voted this morning.

I think I only vote because you get a free sticker.

Other than that, I'm not sure why I do it anymore.

for the sticker silly

Good luck DM!

And where is that TR? You have got to get your priorities straight!:lmao:

yep...straighten out those priorities young man...

Because if you don't vote you don't have a right to complain! ;)

:lmao: good point

My youngest DS has to take a physical soon and when he goes he always asks mom does the doctor have to touch me down there:lmao: :lmao: and they always give him a woman :rotfl2:

As per son's request, always accomodate with 'male' doc ;)

if you think you can hardly wait until nov 4th is over, wait until jan 20th. half the country will be pi$$ed off, the other half happy. then we start again. welcome to the democratic process.

i will most likely be crying my eyes out....my baby will be 10!

Afternoon folks...just stopping by before starting dinner.

Hope everyone is doing well.

BTW...Barb or Brab...who ever you are...I checked at work today and our local sales tax on purchases is 6%...I don't know what tourists pay. :confused3

drive by hi!

DS survived his physical, with 2 shots got "the look"

he had the same ear packed with wax again, they dug some, washed it out & dug some more - i nearly passed out watching the junk come out:rolleyes1

Toursits pay the same amount we do. It also varies by county. Osceola county has a 7% sales tax. Orange county is 6.5%

Change democratic to "democratic". The US = a Democratic Republic.

It's right there in the Pledge of Allegiance. "And to the REPUBLIC, for which it stands, One nation..."

I am so sorry your parents refused to buy you a pony. How very mean of them. Mine bought me one, it almost killed me once but they did buy me one.

Okay, you and Janet made me think of this commercial: http://www.splendad.com/ads/show/1708-Verizon-Wireless-Pony

I did ... I have a friend who is originally from ND, and I think he will get a kick out of the one when I forward it to him!

Second, I loved the second one! Are you in a Super Tuesday state? I am. Couples who vote together, stay together. We leave for a bit to cast our ballots before work. (Is there a smilie for fingers-crossed?)

Can't say I am looking forward to the Super Tuesday coverage. I am already sick of it and down-trodden and defeated and annoyed. When is this going to be over?

illinois is in the super tuesday free lunch program also......

The TR is being unearthed right now in a 1922 excavation of......waitaminute, who stole my DeLorean???????

yes, what happened to it???

we are all ears............spill it homie

still waiting brab...............

replay that conversation you had with the ex boss to us...........

think i should wish them pregnant?

I'll try to respond here before I have to start my evening shuttling people around. DH is supposed to fly out to Detroit tomorrow morning. Not sure with the weather forecasts what the odds of that are. (Here and south, not there!). Nothing major forecast here (like Mac's) - just 2-4 inches and blowing snow. Which means we'll probably get a foot since they don't seem to be very good at getting it right!

Hey Marcie! We did leave a link. Did you not find it? Glad the boys didn't miss the bus.

As for the laundry I stopped doing my older kids laundry when they brought out a huge pile after I had finished my last load years ago. Miranda & Chris both had to do their own from that point on. When Mikey started doing it too he had to start doing his. If he brings things out while I am doing laundry then I will wash it. IF not he gets to do it himself. Period! Guess I am just a mean mom. Either that or I feel like my time is valuable too and if they can't respect that they can take care of things themselves.

Oh, and how does a place like that run out of money for clearing the snow? I know it can happen here where we don't get much but up there where it is normal? :confused3

I was just kidding Lori - I knew where you guys were hiding! I was even here back on page 1! ;)

And I've tried that with the laundry, but thanks to Grandma, my kids have SO many clothes that they could probably go for months without needing them. They'd throw their jeans in the hamper once a week and they'd be set.

I think everyone backed off a lot after last winter. I think by this point last winter we'd had like 4 inches. We did get a lot the end of Feb/early March, but it was like two weeks of a lot of snow, not the two months (and probably more than four feet!) that we've gotten so far. This is definitely not a typical winter! (I say with my fingers crossed hoping!)

If I do, can I start with my husband asking me honestly if I were having an affair because he thinks I spend too much time online? That if I was having an affair, it was with friends in a box, either on this thread, or through emails, or through PMs?

I'll be glad to share my pictures with lots of matching shirts with him! :rotfl: Maybe that will scare him away from the computer for awhile again!

come on fess up, did you like the couple of jokes i sent...............you know you did..........

I didn't get any jokes! :sad1:

Did I mention that we get to vote in two weeks when nothing matters?!

i hate teacher conferences, my palms get sweaty lol
I wouldn't hate conferences if it weren't for the way they do them here. The schedule appointments, try to fit in 8 teachers times 3 kids into two 3 hour periods. And the teachers run behind and make you late for the next one. I feel like I spend the entire time watching the clock and going "so how's he doing? Really? (Distractedly) Well, gotta go!"

My youngest DS has to take a physical soon and when he goes he always asks mom does the doctor have to touch me down there:lmao: :lmao: and they always give him a woman :rotfl2:

When we moved here, we had a really hard time finding any practices that had ANY male doctors that were taking new patients under age 18. We finally settled on one about 20 minutes away, rather than the 3 clinics within a mile or two of our house for exactly this reason.

Yet another great argument for having only ONE child :rolleyes1 :thumbsup2

Guess that means I have two extras! Any takers?! :confused3

Okay, see I had my visual of you and Jennifer mixed up. I was picturing her as tall, with long dark hair. Must have been you I had in mind!

BTW...Barb or Brab...who ever you are...I checked at work today and our local sales tax on purchases is 6%...I don't know what tourists pay. :confused3

Wisconsin sales tax is 5 percent; except in Brown county (where we live), where we get to pay an extra half percent to support the Packers! Worth it?! :rolleyes1

ps DH sez that "ain't no horse...it's a llama..."

my response "did you ever see a green llama"

thinking deeply about it (trying to not hurt myself)...not sure if i've ever seen a real, live llama - up close & personal...

who's up for a field trip to machu picchu or is that picchu machu?
machu-picchu-01-500.jpg

i'll bring the snacks:thumbsup2

It also varies by county. Osceola county has a 7% sales tax. Orange county is 6.5%
I just wish they would have raised the sales tax and eliminated property taxes all together.

They had something simple and politics took over. Typical!

wendy, how do you wear your hair?
you said it is long.

do you wear it up, pulled back or down?
mine is long and i wear it down most of the time.

Well....when I am in Florida, my money is spent at Universal and Marion county...whatever that sales tax is, I'm paying it :guilty:

I could be wrong, but to me it looks like a Mexican Pinata type horse. At least, then the green would make sense? :confused3

AI is from Atlanta tonight. I guess I'll try to watch. :rolleyes1
