Barb, I did see that you are working at a tanning salon now, is that right? I hope it's much better than the HH!!! I started tanning last month (preparing for my trip waaaaaay ahead....gotta have that savage tan ya know!)

yes...i got fired from HH but secured a position at the new local tanning salon the day before.... being tan is job requirement....oh darn

Zack's birthday was yesterday...14 He's not even wanting to get his learners permit to drive yet and I am so relieved!!! The roads are not ready for him!!!

Hope he had an enjoyable birthday! they grow up so fast

First of all a great big THANKS
to you all for keeping things quiet here for me today.

I hadn't mentioned it but Ally came home complaining about her throat Wednesday afternoon, slept most of the day yesterday but really wanted to go to her Valentines party so I took her for it, went to the doct or today to confirm my diagnosis of strep throat. I swear this child has been sick with one thing after another since the beginning of December! So I have been babying my child today.

Of course this my weekend to nwork for my sister and we have nasty weather suposedly moving in over night. I loaded Ally & myself up at 4:00, stopped to pick up great nieces birthday present & the granddaughter and went ahead and drove the hour out here.

It is going to be a great year for Hendrick Motor Sports!!!

I'm glad they kept it 'quiet' too.....wonder if it has anything to do with Tricia being away having fun?? (I can say that cuz she won't go back and ketchup )


How was the weather today for helping out your sister?? Not too bad i hope

And...how's dear Ally? Strep throat is NO fun. DH had it...you'd think he was dying Unfortunately, stuff like that just keeps hopping child to child....sometimes nothing ya can do about it Amazing how well doctor drugs work tho, huh?

You know, it's hard to find time to read and post when DH is home, I have to spend time with him when he's here...

Hey Barb, I hope you feel better real soon! I hope it's not the flu! I read that even people who got the flu shot this year were getting the flu.

Thanks Alison...but, nope...wasn't flu. Bubba started with it...doctor said he was heading for bronchitis...gave him good stuff . Then, DH had it worst Tuesday and Wednesday....I started pretty bad Thursday nite. I never got a fever or really congested head or chest...just really tired and wiped out Never been "sick" like this before.... but, I'm getting there.....

Oh, I was going to mention to you that DH and I have been looking for our own tanning bed. We looked on eBay and there are soooooooo many in your area and a lot of them are cheap!!! There just aren't many around us and they tend to be expensive! We really want a stand-up unit because they tan you more evenly and DH hates laying down in one.....I'm doing the lay-down type (because it's cheaper at the place where we tan). I don't think we are going to find one for what I'm willing to pay, so we will probably just have to keep going to the salon....

Starting out in stand-up booth is good because of being more even...but, once you have color, it doesn't really matter...beds are fine. Sometimes I get lazy in the beds, and lay on one side for 5 minutes, and then the other for 5 minutes I will tell ya, it's a good thing those things are on timers....I once fell asleep! The thing going OFF is what woke me up!

trying to remember what age they raised driver's license jr permit to in PA

i've spent the evening trolling for discounts in vegas - baby...found a goodie ; cheaper than the Excalibur even...The Luxor . Was on DHs wish list, heretofore outta our league; nice when the hubby thinks you're smrt lol.

i think permit is 15, license 16 Something like that....I do know they added a rule of 'logging hours' with a licensed driver....forget how many you need...maybe 50?

You crack me up! STILL looking for vacation deals.... You could be ON vacation and STILL be looking for deals ...but, if it saves you $$...go for it!

i'm skipping working the spaghetti dinner for basketball boosters, made a pan of brownies; bought 2 of the 10 $7 tix i/DS was expected to selland plan on picking him up @ 4:00 pm & heading out to eat with DH...my ears are burning lol. I refuse to believe that the tshirt he got cost $70

Friends of ours stayed there a couple years ago...they had a great time. They stayed in a pretty expensive 'suite', but for what they got, they thought it was worth every penny. They took 1 day alone to spend at the water park/pool....said you needed a full day there to really appreciate and take advantage of what they have to offer....good luck planning your trip! Do you plan to spend ANY nights onsite at Universal at all? (try to swing at least 1 night for 2 days of FOTL )

I wish I could get into NASCAR like so many of you but the only reason I'd watch would be for an accident. Going round and round doesn't do much for me.

I hear ya...it's not my "thing" either...but the way they explain it, makes sense....all i see is 'left turns' too....but, heck, i'm in for the game of it....why not? (ppsstt! I don't really want to be 'into' that much either...then i'll get suckered into the tv on a Sunday...and I have other things to do....especially when it's a nice day out...unlike football season...when it's yucky out )

man, i have had problems using safari tonight in trying to get on line.


i can't even read my emails with it.

i let one son use my computer earlier today and ever since then, computer troubles.

please don't let me think he screwed my mac up...........


i finally got on by using firefox but my password wouldn't work.

it is just not my night........

i have been unable to read my pm's so far.
will answer them when they open up for me.


do you know what it is like to sit in front of your computer and it won't do what you want it to do?

Work is progressing almost all our junk is out .. Lori I took photos and well I will post them maybe tonight after I get some more work done today .

I haven't been on in like 3 days and I had 200 E-Mails today . Mostley junk but still .

I miss saying HI to everyone I am sure I missed alot of talk here but there is good news ....I don't have to do much of this is week . Hubby is helping out a lot since we are doing the Master bedroom . Gotta go DH is looking for me means WORK MUST START . The yelling will resume over what to keep , what to throw out and well you all know how it goes . See everyone later

what did DS do to your system? You seem to have an awful lot of trouble out there Hopefully all will be fixed soon and you'll be back with us.... IF i ever have problems, i just call DH...he fixes me up ...then again, we have pc's....

That's what I don't get...I am drinking nothing but water...and i mean a LOT of water....can't stop peeing I usually drink a lot of milk, but with the cough, thought I'd better not...and just drink water (which is where I think I'm lacking my normal vitamins) ..... My boys are being great...even tho DH isn't 100% himself yet.....

I am going to attempt the grocery store....luckily, don't need too much.... we didn't eat that much this week....

i've been sitting in front of the tube for almost 3 hours waiting for the race to start, worse than super bowl dragging it out lol

barb - heck i'm still looking for discounts up to the last day of cancellation, rest as much as you can & gobble those vitamin Cs. The other 8 tix for the dinner got handed back in, i'm sick of fund raisers at the end of the season. I def. keep checking on the best deals up until the very last min. i can still cancel, any savings from original budget go back in the pot for more travel .

Lori - i just added another Saturday to Oct trip, makes me ill to burn the points so lol. Thinking of switching to OKW or AKV @ 7 month point. Have you stayed @ AK yet?

marci - a boarder too? u r my hero don't think you'll ever get outta shape

nice dinner w/DH last night, over an hour wait for a table...plopped down @ the bar & ordered my 1st ever appletini with carmel topping drizzled in it...went down so well, had 2 more...glad DH was the designated driver. Seafood & steaks were great, even though it's a chain I think they do a great job with the limited offerings they offer.

ps - waltrip is now in 19th place lol
