Tricia you getting everything done?

I'm getting *some* stuff done. "Everything" remains to be seen.

day started weird, mother decided she had a stroke:scared1: ; took a peek @ her no visible signs:confused3 ; she's a bit out there to begin with tends to get som odd ideas.;)

...hope i made the right decision.:rolleyes1 sigh

I wouldn't sweat your decision Janet. A life threatening stroke is obvious. If she could coherently contact you and tell you that she thinks she might have had one... it's highly unlikely that she did. My MIL went through some medical thing a few years ago. She was convinced she had a stroke. They did MRIs and EEG and you name it. She's as healthy as a woman her age could be. She even had a home nurse that visited them a few times a day. Made her stand up, sit down, lie down... checked her blood pressure at all those times. Nothing. The last time she thought it happened, FIL called 911. They came out, determined that she had hyperventilated herself, and left. After that, she was kinda embarrassed and didn't do it again.

tricia, please accept my apology on making a stupid joke last night.

I know you and Jodie were joking. We fans of Nascar are used to it. I'll post more well rounded thoughts from now on.

Not sure what we are going to do yet. Just a little drama at the Jaws household.

Lori, Tricia, & Penny - I did NOT know that Daytona was the first race to open the season- I thought it was the last race. Silly me - I did know that it was HUGE HUGE amongst the Nascar fans. If anyone around here goes, it is a big thing.

:) Well, I need to head back out to the office. Going to get a massage tonight to help my stress.

Junior High... ugh... Can my boys just skip those years altogether? The cliques... the drama... the gossip. I don't wanna know what I've got in the years ahead.

And, yes, the Daytona 500 is the first race of the season. It's the only sport to open the season with the biggest event of the year.

I've never had a massage. Well, I've had people rub my back... but I've never had a professional massage. Maybe someday...

Oops - forgot to give mummy dust and hugs to the sickies in the group - Barb and entire family  :wizard:

Also - todd - hoping you get your dog today.

I have a feeling God is trying to tell me something. As everyone is getting dogs. Someone at work brought in their new puppy and I just melted. So, :rolleyes1 considering it.

For all of you dog experts - what is the best breed -
I do have allergies (poodles do not bother me) - is there anything else other than poodle?
Need a small house dog - that would be by itself from 7am to 4pm most days.
Let me know your opinons.

:) Jennifer

Hi Jennifer!
I'm not a dog expert, but I've had a few.
Would this dog be able to go outside thru a doggy door?
That's a long time to not be able to relieve himself.
I do know that some smaller dogs need to go out more frequently than the larger ones.

I had a greyhound for years. It's not considered a small dog but they don't take up much space. Mostly legs! The retired racers like to snooze all day in the sun, so that might be a good one for you that doesn't need lots of exercise during the day. Don't know about allergies thou.

Hey - you changed our street address! I was driving around for hours looking for our home!

My pick is Kevin Harvick.

just playing with you all.
nascar fever has hit.

i guess people do read my crap....

i'll change it back before i go to bed.

Mac - I was not upset by your changing the title. I thought it was funny. I used exclamation points!

Hi Tricia!
High School is a piece of cake after JR. High.

My boys are going to the Lenox Industrial Tools 300 in June. It's in New Hampshire, which is the closest track to us that NASCAR races at. They went last year and had a great time!

Hey gang - checkin in this lunch hour. Since I am done with my traveling - I can come home for lunch. (Saves $$$)

Thanks to Fletch and Tracie for the wake up call. I'm going to use my 2-hour snow delay as an excuse.;) It then turned into a no-school day. This made Jr. happy.

He is going through the trials of junior high when you change your friends, and the "cliques" start up. We all want to be in with the "cool kids". Here they call them the "preps". Silly me - I didn't know these were cool - as I was a preppie in high school - and we were not cool - we were the nerds.:lmao: For his birthday - he wants to have about 4 friends to sleep over. But he does NOT want this one kid who of course will be very hurt if he is not invited (as will be the parents). This kid has been invited to everything since 2nd/3rd grade. Of course, now he wants to be a "prep" and I think he "trash talks" to my Jr, when the "preps" are around to make him look good.

Not sure what we are going to do yet. Just a little drama at the Jaws household.

Does this count - when I was 5/6 years old, my family went to Florida (they were just building WDW). We got to take a drive around the Daytona race track. I know my dad really liked it.:thumbsup2

:) Well, I need to head back out to the office. Going to get a massage tonight to help my stress.

Glad you are able to eat at home now.Saving money for a trip would be great!

Sorry your ds is going through that. Mikey hated jr high. It does pass. Now he just doesn't like to get up in the morning but he doesn't hate being at school.

I need to go over to Daytona while we are in Florida this year. Think I shall add that to the list of things to do.

Here, I'll help with that one. I woke up coughing this mroning so of course I have to get up and go to the bathroom. Well, Lizzy (the pouch that does her business as soon as she comes in from outsdie) has just pooped in the middle of the floor and I stepped right in it! Then had to clean my foot, clean her mess and then found pee in the kitchen floor. :headache:

Maybe you don't want one after all. If you still do I have one I just might be willing to ship to you!

I'm getting *some* stuff done. "Everything" remains to be seen.

Well let's just say that whatever you get done is "everything" and leave it at that!

I've never had a massage either. Maybe DM should come give us one!

Greyhounds are such lovable animals!

What is UP with the email notifications? Nothing for hours and then WHAM I've got 30 all at once! :headache:

Aren't we missing a few people? When did Wendy last check in... or Marcie?

You don't suppose Marcie finally snapped and "filed" her boss away?

Should we start a bail/legal fund? :confused3

Yep I got bombarded too. :sad2:

Wendy, Marcie, Allison and of course Miss Gemma are MIA.

Who wants to go with me to look for Gemma?

:rotfl: sounds like the plot of an old alfred hitchcock episode (the B&W ones)

ma looks the same & seems fine to to me:wizard: ; she didn't mention it again today; is moving just fine, talking, etc...she goes back to pain clinic next week, supposed to get an epidural injection in back for pain; then will see her reg. dr the following week. I'll just keep a closer eye on her, she does have that lifeline system with the button you press, etc.; what can you do - she'll be 78 this year.

Is DM a massage therapist? For years, i have had theraputic massages on upper back due to cervical issues. Performed by physical therapists for a 1/2 hour or so during PT/rehab sessions(t hey hurt like hell) usually preceeded by traction...(it hurts too):rolleyes1& ultra sound to loosen stuff up (it doesn't hurt) ...then you exercise...then get iced...then more massage & go home & pop some meds. Evidently, there are different types of massage techniques; know i've been told not to let a non-PT touch me.:confused3

jennifer - he'll settle in, it's difficult when a kid does get left behind the regular gang. I try to stay out of it; without much success lol.

we got 6 inches of snow by mid-afternoon; then sleet, freezing rain, and supposed to get another 7 inches overnight...couldn't get the suv up our hill, had to go the other way:eek:

No to outside. I also thought this might be too long to "hold it". We could leave him downstairs (ours is a split level) and then any accidents would be contained and not on the good new carpet!

See this is what I remember from my dog when we were younger. He was supposed to be my brother's dog. But do you think he would ever clean it up. NOPE! He would tell me - watch - don't step in that.:lmao: This is the main reason we don't have a dog, as both DH and I work all day.

From Janet:

I think they were calling this for us as well. But, we got lucky - we got maybe an inch, and then rain. No sleet or freezing rain. Which is good for me, as I need to go back out. Sorry for your luck.

Hi - don't want you guys to be worrying about me! Save that for Gemma!

I think I read too many of Barb's posts here and picked up whatever she and the guys there have! (At least I think it was her - I'm too "blah" to go back and check). Suffered through 2 very busy days at work (not bad days, just busy), but my voice is nearly shot (hey, wasn't that Lori!?), and my throat is killing me.

My friend called again last night and I spent another 3 hours on the phone (yeah, this helped my voice!) trying to help her choose houses for her Disney trip this summer. I thought we'd done that, but now she decided to change her dates and of course the one she wanted was no longer available.

We're supposed to go to a fundraiser at the high school tonight - a chocolate thing of some sort, but I really don't feel up to it. After sucking lozenges of a zillion kinds all day (just to be able to talk), my stomach feels kind of icky and I think my tastebuds are shot anyways. I may go turn on my electric blanket and just climb in bed.

I have been reading and did find the "Something about NASCAR" to be hilarious Mac! I'm not a NASCAR fan (or even a little clued in on it) but I certainly don't mind reading the posts (or skimming them if I don't have time). I'm sure not everyone wanted to see all my matching shirt pics either! :rolleyes1

Sorry I can't catch up now. Hope to feel better soon! If I get more motivated I'll try again later this evening! Thanks all!

Hey Marcie! There you are. Sorry we sent all the buggies your way. I never knew sickness could be passed through the internet.:confused3 ;)

Anyway, hope you feel better soon. :wizard: And don't pass it on to the boys. Might out to stay out of the hot tub for a while too.

Okay, so Marcie brought a note. Where's the rest of the crew?

And, Gemma, bless her heart. I just knew she wouldn't give us the shout outs from the library that she promised. We'll just have to wait until she's home from University again... and hope that she decides to drop in and see us...

Uuuuhhh. . . sorry I'm late. . . traffic was bad. . . . had to work late. . . . :confused3 :guilty:

homework and valentines call

chicken and veggies AGAIN for dinner

oh, and I cloroxed my post. . . so keep your germs outta here, would ya :lmao:

Okay, my chores are done for the night and I'm laying in bed here with DH......lemme see if I can ketchup...starting 10 pages ago.... :sad2:

Joshua woke up with the sniffles. I hope we can contain it to that. I have a scratchy throat,

Anyway, I've started the Zicam just in case.

Have we contained it to 'sniffles'.... ? ...... and how are YOU feeling today?

PENNY.....anything on the job front? :confused3

I so badly want to line up two hotels on the I95 stretch (we are convinced we are driving to Florida again-unless there is great airfare at the last minute) but for some reason I feel that this trip is going to fall through just like the others :confused3 :sad2:

Cbean is still really bad with her asthma. Started last Sunday and she is still on the nebulizer quite a bit. Sounds like Darth Vader :darth: alot right now......but she just plugs away and goes about her business.

I saw airfare drop, but not enuf for you :( ....still holding out hope :goodvibes (it's tough with 3 kids) ...and speaking of....how is dear Cbean feeling? Ryan is on steroids, antibiotics and an inhaler and after 1 dose of each, has made a miraculous improvement....he's in better shape than us! :lmao:

MIKE.....how are YOU doing?? Drugs workin' okay for ya? :rolleyes1
