Morning All

DM - sorry to hear about the package woes......maybe they have it in the local office - they should be able to track the package in SOME way :confused3 good luck!!

Tricia - loved the bouquet you did for Carol - I may have to borrow your borrowed idea one of these days ;) :rotfl:

Barb - thanks for posting the Happy Birthday pics.....can Bubba and his Dad "play" against each other now?

Todd - Hope everything in your world is getting better!! We missed you around here.

Lori - talk about the day from HE*& - glad to hear that you got your shots in and that you are home safe and sound!!

Jodie - DH has to do his own performace review......on top of the reviews for the 11 guys he supervises - how is that for a kick in the teeth :scared1: Good Luck for yours (just tell them not to put you with stoopid peeple :lmao: :lmao: )

we have no carpet here.....just a few area rugs. All wood floors (and not the pretty ones either) I think one of the projects for the spring is to redo the floors because I am not about carpeting anymore.....especially with the kids and a dog! here is a view from the girls room at the old house from when I did their floors and room not too long after Frank was born (got everything off without a sander, on my hands and knees, took about 3 days, then restain/poly'ed them)

sorry if they are smallish.....they are from 2002 (and yes mac.....that is a half nekkid cbean in the background - she was about 2 1/2 and at the tail end of potty training so the less clothes, the better :thumbsup2 )

Jennifer - are you going to be one of the newest on a Holiday Inn Express commercial?? What occupation??? LOL!

janet - hope you are feeling better today

marcie - you out of the newest snowfall yet?

rose - hope all is well with you today!!!

lets see......what else? let me grab another cup o joe and get back on and ramble about nothing :lmao:

I used to have to go to the candle things, the basket things, the chef things, and the "adult" things. Maybe I enjoyed the "adult" ones, but other than that, they were boring and you wound up buying useless crap just so the hostess could get useless crap for free. I guess moving to the boonies has its advantages.

Ah...I remember those days.... :headache: My excuse would be "It's Saturday? Aw sorry, I'm working." ....worked for weeknights too..... Also, Ryan has....(karate, soccer, etc...) OR we're not going to be home.... :goodvibes You can be creative after a while :rolleyes1

i make daily phone calls to the post masters direct line and fill his message box up. if i start early enough, no one else can leave a message as i fill it up.
it gives me great satisfaction

mailman is SUPPOSED to leave mail between my doors. i am on a driving route and some stupid people don't read the instructions for my address.
a trip to the back door of the post office at 5:30 and pounding on the door does the trick.

Your tax dollars hard at work!!!

morning all!

my oldest 2 DSs can't wait for the 1st cadbury eggs sighting of the season (yuck, won't even say what it reminds me of) and oldes stockpiles the marshmellow (whatever's; have them for lots of different seasons now). He lets them get stale then noshes on them:confused: says he likes them with some crunch lol just read jodies post, they think alike!

mac - i tossed the hot chocolate cause the can told me to...

insert picture of a sheep w/o the website that i stole it fromi'm such a sheep

metro - u are found!

lori - i knew u were seeing ur sista:thumbsup2 glad to hear u had a nice visit = good save! (i don't speak to mine, she's a mean drunk)

barb - great pics! cannot beat a birthday full of sugar & swag:banana: . Have i commented that i used to have a sectional from sears in the exact same fabric...u got good taste. As i recall the fabric wore like iron, unfortunately i couldn't say the same about the construction...didn't last long (of course we had 3 boys hopping on it and assorted dogs)

marci - i still say that green rug is 'da bomb, course i like green;)

jennifer - safe trip, pad that expense account:laughing: ; take pics of the Bathroom for tracie.

tracie - meant to ask what are the red & white thing in the glass of present for carol (jelly beans?); very cute

tricia - nice pics too, ur HW floors look better than mine

mac - i saw sim video on youtube

i had fun being picked (unwillingly) for audience participation once...anyone else?

Mornin' yerself!! Thought you were off the coffee and onto something 'stronger'?

Bubba & DH can play against each other OR on the same team (they play 'teams')....most times they are together, but teams can be automatically re-aligned and then they're against each other.....and I've been told my son is an excellent shot too  (has beat DH on occassion)

You did a fabulous job on those floors...altho a sander might have been easier :confused3 And you don't even live in that house anymore :sad2: I thought you didn't have carpet cuz of allergies, but 3 kids and a dog would do it also

Sit yourself down and start writing.... I hope your package arrives safely soon....and why no tracking number?? UH...hello?? It's 2008 people....everything should be tracked!
It makes no sense to me either. Someone somewhere made a Colossal Goof. The bad kind.

I WILL tell you we bought DH's for him for Christmas....and Bubba watched. (He also owns Battlefield 2 & Counterstrike...courtesy of DH) He has learned to play by watching Dad. For instance, if Dad needed a 'bathroom break', Bubba would step in and play for/as him ;) They have played CS online together many times also, and DH thought he would enjoy playing COD. Don't care if it's legal or not, it's my money to spend where i choose, for WHO i choose and i really don't hear Activision complaining I spent money on their product ;) (And, I think that law is to protect the kids who ask a stranger to purchase it for them cuz their parents won't allow them to buy it.)....which, is again, the 'talking' to your kids thing instead of just trying to shelter them from the world and just taking the easy way out and saying 'no'.

Years ago we had a 'talk' with him regarding 'fantasy' and 'reality'....like on video games it's okay to run from the cops and shoot the enemy in war....however, that is NOT how it goes IRL.... He understands and is very mature for his age.... If we felt he did NOT understand that, he would not be allowed to play. DH keeps a watchful eye on him while they game....my DH is strict when it comes to gaming. (ie: he is NOT allowed to play the last GTA [Liberty City Stories?]...due to too much of the 'n' word) My DH knows all the ins and outs of the games they play....who do you think Bubba learned it from??

Btw...speaking of.....whatever happened with you and all your 'games' that were stolen? Did you get any replacements?
Game retailers can flat out tell parents/grandparents "no" if the person buying an M game is buying it for a minor. The clerk and the manager on duty can be fired if the game is sold. They have to be hyper-cautious due to the bad parents out there who buy games such as GTA for their kids just to "shut them up." Consequently, it's usually these bad parents who do not talk to their kids about fantasy vs reality and then go ballistic and try to sue the game developer/game retailer. :headache: What you've done = :thumbsup2

As for my games, nothing has been found, nor has anything been replaced. I'll have to spend my own money to get new stuff.

The stuff in the vase was tissue paper. It was all I had in the house. This was a VERY last minute gift. It wound up looking kinda Cat in the Hat-ish, but it was all I had.

yeah....no carpets because of Jim and Court....so much easier to keep clean than running around after the kids, the DH, the dog with carpet foam in one hand and a damp rag in the other :lmao: :lmao:

Jim wants to know if I would be able to do that to the floors here
1.gif
....uh, probably not. There is a company called sandfree that I need to look into....my house is dusty enough, don't need sanding mess on top of that :lmao: :lmao:

I always have the coffee.....have to or I get a headache :scared1: Bad, Bad ones too.

:rotfl: funny story...we bought the couch 15 yrs ago when we were moving into our apartment together.... Got the sofa at Sears Scratch n Dent for $300. Holding up well thus far!! :thumbsup2 Fast forward just over a year later, we buy this house. Living room AND family room...only 1 sofa :confused3 Yep, that means we had to buy the loveseat and tables..... Loveseat ALONE and NEW cost MORE than the stinkin couch a year ago :headache: However, all the furniture and tables are holding up extremely well......I fear no new furniture in my near (or distant) future :guilty:

Uh...you got thems mixed up :headache:

tracie & tricia are strong confident women, they know who they are:thumbsup2 i, however, am an old crone confused by the alliteration aspect:rotfl: mea culpa

Which show, Life After People? I thought it was quite interesting. :magnify:

parts were extremely interesting.
the faulty areas were the buidlings of decay and length of time involved.
no mention of the gas lines exploding.
it was kewl. once i stopped being a beotch, i sat back and enjoyed it.

a few weeks ago, at HH job, we had a book being sent about an hour away from our office to the customer ...this is IN Pennsylvania.... Later on, customer calls to complain they didn't receive book..so, we track it (UPS)....turns out, UPS sent it to HAWAII  :confused3 Guess it happens :confused3

That's what I think it actually is....a MINOR can't buy a M game....and i think THAT is WHO the retailer is looking at. They look at me and think it's probably for a husband or friend...NOT my 9 yr old! I relate it to an R rated movie....ain't gettin in w/o parent there  If you are THE parent and buying for your child, then yes, YOU are responsible for your child.....YOU should be teaching your child right from wrong...after all, that is a parent's job... The game world is there to sell, entertain and make money off video games..... not parent your child:headache:
