I hate the green carpet. It's been there since we built the house in 1990. It's really hard to find drapes and bed linens to go with it. Not sure what kind of drug I was smoking when I picked it out. :upsidedow

The carpeting in the master bedroom of our house. Look familiar?

I saw this photo, and thought, wow! those are some big deer! :upsidedow
Forgot you have cows!

Looks like you need to buy them boys some boots! J/K

Loved the pics of the deer. We've had them in our yard here but never that close! Fun to see from the whirlpool!

Speaking of the hot tub, I have no way of knowing whether it adds a lot to the electric bill or not. We've had one forever - had the last one 17 years before we left it when we moved (after moving it twice before!) and I'm guessing of course it will cost more here since it's Green Bay (duh!) and we have it outside (had it in a Florida room before). I just don't know how to calculate how much I pay for it! :confused3

And, speaking of the boots - we lived in Charlotte, NC when my oldest was little. Had a good snowstorm (about 6 inches) when he was just a year old and we ended up putting ziploc bags over his feet (with his tennis shoes on) and putting rubber bands around the ankles so he could go out and play in the snow! Wasn't worth buying them even there, so I'm guessing not for Tricia that much more south!

who here eats those Peeps?

Okay, somehow I missed Sharon's quote too here! I like Peeps - but one is enough maybe once a year! And my sons love blowing them up in the microwave too! If you haven't tried it, just put one in for about 15 seconds and watch it expand. Then it's gooey and fun to eat!

Marci - Have you warmed up yet? I know the feeling the fans are - when WVU lost to Pitt on a cold night in December, the whole state was in shock and disbelief. I opted to stay home and keep the furnace company.

Well, I might have warmed up, but don't think the guys have from the game! Although I went walking this morning in the -18 wind chills and ended up wearing almost as much as they did - even wore the ski goggles! Now we're in the midst of 6 inches of snow. Took me an hour to get home from work (vs. the normal 18 minutes) and DS ended up having to miss piano lessons because we never would have made it. Still snowing! Know we won't get a snow day tomorrow, but hoping for a late start! (Can you tell I like to sleep in?! :rotfl: )

I don't know if I had mentioned this before, but I had gotten the Magic Bullet for Xmas. We christened it last night during the game with shakes and smoothies.....let me tell you ladies and gents, it is worth ever penny!!!!

I remember on a ski trip a year or two ago watching the entire infomercial for the magic bullet (okay, either there was nothing else on or we just couldn't motivate ourselves to change the channel!). Glad to hear it's actually useful!

Checking in for the night.

Lawrence & Janet - stay warm and rest.:grouphug:

I DO and happily! Always buy extra for Easter for me - so I don't have to steal from DS basket.;)

Good Morning.

But its midterms so its not bad....
Perhaps you should ask your students if they feel the same.;)

I always wonder about those infos. When I can't sleep, I tend to watch those. The only thing keeping me from ordering all the products, is I would have to get up and go downstairs to get my purse for the credit card. DH is thankful for my laziness as this saves him money.

Well, need to start movin' around and get the bags packed. My coworkers and I get to spend the week at the Holiday Inn Express. Perhaps I will do a mini trip report when I return.

:) Jennifer:)

Good Morning all off to work today but had to say that I TOO HAVE THAT GREEN RUG :rotfl: . Can't wait till Feb. we are getting rid of it  and re-doing the masterbedroom :thumbsup2 Just bought our bedroom set and it comes 2/21 , Now we need a new rug ,new paint and well all the help we can get to get the stuff out of the room:laughing: .

Good morning homies thought I would stop in and say hi.
Snowing and cold and they called off school so had to take in DW to work early cause she is a custodian and when school is called off she has to be in at 6:00 am so she was late cause roads so slick could only go about 40 mph and that was pushing it:scared1:

The phone rang at 5:30am. School is closed for today. Huh? I checked the weather. Patchy freezing drizzle possible. Again, Huh? I turned on the local weather. We are the ONLY county in Georgia closed today. :headache:

So much for our built in emergency days. I think they only give us 2 of those. Methinks they might have pulled the trigger a bit early on this one.

Mornin' all.....

What...no Fletch for wake ups this morning?? :confused3 Thought he was supposed to be back by now ...... :rolleyes1

(again for the 3rd time.... :headache: This is my final attempt at posting this morning..... DH bought a new mouse (for gaming) that has these lovely buttons on the side of it (where the thumb is) and I keep hitting the one button with my thumb and it takes me back to the top of my page...so, instead of multiquoting on DH's computer, I have to reply individually now :headache: :headache: ).......so, here goes............

Okay, regarding the Peeps here.....I'm thinking "s'mores" in a 'pinch'? :confused3 (ya know...when you run out of Fluff?)

Will have to catch that this afternoon on my computer....can't look on DH's while he's recording....at least, don't think so?

Yay...don't think we've ever had a "working and staying at HI" trip report... :confused3 Could be fun :rolleyes1

Good luck....I'm sure you'll love it when you get a 'new' bedroom.....

I don't "get" the green rug thing?? A friend of mine has the same carpet? Was 'green' "IN" and I missed it?? We have neutral here except the boys room (blue) and the living room (mauve)...which I wouldn't have chosen or kept, but it was only 6 months old when we bought the house....so, practically new :guilty:

Wow you guys  ...it's bright and sunny here....a bad sign...you know, the calm before the storm ;) They predict our mess to start this afternoon..... :sad2: With mostly ice around here.....gonna be a long ride home for DH who comes straight thru it all:headache:

I love that look. And he still has a dot of chocolate on his bottom lip. Seriously cute.

That was me not caring cuz it was his birthday (normally I would have told him to wipe it off :teeth: )

I think it made the picture. Especially after seeing the ones of him with the donut, so you knew why it was there.

My kids regularly walk around with stuff on them somewhere. By bath time, you can usually tell everything that Daniel had to eat that day just by looking at his shirt.

Morning all ... Barb, are we in for more bad weather? Going to have to check the forecast since both Mike and I work tonight. Speaking of work, it's annual appraisal time. It's a running joke with me. About 8 years ago or so one of my managers wrote in "Areas for Development" that "Jodie should learn more patience with those who are less competent and less intelligent than she is." (How is that for a back-handed compliment? :rotfl: ). Anyway, the running joke is that every manager I've ever had just copies the same statement verbatim year after year after year. I've never been able to shake it. I can't tell you the last time I told anyone off, but I can't seem to shake the same development suggestion. Can't wait to see if that's on there again this year. I have a new manager too.

Anyway, happy cold. Good morning. Good night for me.

Cute pics, Barb! :goodvibes

I want to punch DHL in the face. Repeatedly. How in the bluest of Hades can a company be so poor at delivery???? I'm expecting a package to my dad's house. There was an attempted delivery, but the ticket said "call (name of person)" No tracking number, no additional info, nothing.
That DHL office was contacted and said person was asked for, but guess what---HE WAS NOT IN THAT DAY! Now nobody (me, dad, stepmom) have any idea where the package is or when it's supposed to be delivered.
I tried calling DHL this morning, but nobody had any idea what was going on.

</end rant>

And THE gift......
Ryan9thbirthday015Small.jpg

(yes, we know it's rated "M", but he is VERY good at it)
Please tell me you bought that game FOR YOU (or for your DH), then gave it to Bubba.

It's actually illegal in many places to buy M rated games for anyone under age 17.

That's weird. Are you expecting anything good?! Just don't have them break your door. That takes months to fix. :rolleyes1
