Marci - Have you warmed up yet? I know the feeling the fans are - when WVU lost to Pitt on a cold night in December, the whole state was in shock and disbelief. I opted to stay home and keep the furnace company.

I am weird...i never tire of looking at pix of yer kids That IS some cookie good thing you had Joshua AND Daniel on the job to help 'eliminate' it.....looks yummy....and that is a LOT of icing!

Yesterday I had 3 afghans (the blankies, not the people lol) piled on me, just couldn't get warm.

anyone else put their kids feet in plastic baggies (over their socks) before they go outside to keep them warm & dry....works. notice i said feet not heads

off in search of hot chocolate and my special added touch in lieu of a few marshmallows

Ya know....I would think the afghan people would be warmer I say drink the chocolate mix anyway.....live dangerously And, I don't think I've put plastic bags on my feet since I was a child...remember the red boots for the snow with that one little clasp?...and you just put those baggies on your feet to keep them dry...not warm (cuz the snow just went IN the boot anyway!)...dry...

DH just had this conversation about 2 weeks ago regarding "Fluff". He came home from work and said he needed to take fluff into work the next day. Apparently big conversation at work regarding the fluff and peanut butter bagels He said they were going to put the fluff on the bagels.... uh....ick, but okay.

So, he comes home the next night and I ask how it was. "Meh." Apparently, it was just 'okay' and now we're stuck with practically a full jar! So, ......stopped at the store (the Saturday we went ice skating, to dinner and watched Spidey 3) and picked up some Hershey bars and graham crackers.....and viola...s'mores!! Now THAT was yum! ...come to think of it, I think we still have some stuff....

Last ones. Carol was feeling down yesterday, so when we went to have lunch with her today, I took her a boquet:

I must have seen this idea somewhere, because I do NOT have a crafty/creative thought in my head.

That is a GREAT picker-upper idea!!! Even if it wasn't your idea, I'm sure it made Carol smile.....just like a bouquet of flowers would

About 1/2 an hour ago, I was sitting here at my desk talking to you guys, and good kitty who sleeps on top of a chest that is in front of some windows on the stair landing, started going crazy, pacing from one window to the other.
I thought maybe she saw a mouse.

Aren't they beautiful? That one looks young They seem so quiet and serene....till one crashes your windshield We have/had a ton out back.....they keep developing and they have no place to go.....now they want to clear the field and put soccer fields in....

Yes, she does warn me she's coming over, but doesn't warn me about her complaining.

I think I'd be telling her that you're an adult and to treat you as one. Tell her what you think...stand up to her.... you are not a child anymore and, even tho you will always be her 'baby', she should not treat you like a child...especially in front of your children..... either that, or don't answer the door...pretend you're not home

Like when I lived in Chicago burbs....grandparents would send huge boxes out to us....filled with.....Tastykates! I think they are an 'east coast' thing ....we couldn't get them out there

regarding PEEPS:

Sharon...I know quite a few people who eat them 'stale'....they leave the air get to them for a few days and then enjoy... Why are they better stale?? I think they're just as gross!

we eat expired goods all the time here.
if my glasses are not on, i don't notice the expiration dates until the trash goes out.

Well, I'm ketchuped and birthday posted, so guess I can go to bed now

Soccer was a disaster.... we lost 10-6 (against the team that won it ALL from the first session) ....8 of those were while Bubba was in goal.... Altho, the slither of brightness, was a split second save he made! He dove and flew on the ground making a GREAT save!! I was so proud!!! He's okay, not too upset with the loss and such, but when the other team scores a goal in the first 45 seconds of the game, you know you're doomed

Good thing he was handing out birthday party invites before the game....

I don't know if I had mentioned this before, but I had gotten the Magic Bullet for Xmas. We christened it last night during the game with shakes and smoothies.....let me tell you ladies and gents, it is worth ever penny!!!!

I just enjoyed a delicious chocolate shake and the DF is having a fruity smoothie. Cant wait to try the mixed drinks!!
