Been a busy week for me

Enjoying the pic with Gemma and the Burger King dude
Oh, forgot to mention, this past Wed. night, I got to see Laura Ingraham
Anyone that doesn't know her, she is a conservative radio talk show host.
I know that might sound boring to some here, but her radio show is so hilarious! She has funny sound bites on her show and she is such a trip

. I had a mom's night out by myself, to see Laura Ingraham speak, for the Power to the People Tour, her book tour. It was weird at first to go to something by myself, as I usually go with DH to events. But I sat with 2 women that I met in line, to get into the banquet room. Anyways, I am not really that political, ok, somewhat (Laura is a political talk show host). I only got to very briefly meet her in the book signing line, when she signed my book. About a 1,000 people were there at the Chicago area event on Wed. night. It was fun overall

I never went to a book signing before, until now. She also spoke for about 45 min. before the book signing part.
I was a little nervous when she signed my book. I felt like I was meeting a celebrity of some sort

Well, I guess she is somewhat of a celebrity in the conservative talk show field

. Unfortunately, the book signing line went so fast, I didn't get a picture of me with her, as the security people or the workers there at the venue didn't want to have these kind of pics done( pics taken with her)

. But I did take pics of her during her talk and after I got my book signed. Oh, a couple of big wigs were there too. Jim Oberweis- he ran for Illinois senate in 2004. He is CEO of the Oberweis ice cream chain (Marciemi and Mac would recognize the name).
And a doctor that is running for Illinois senate for 2008- ok, he isn't a big wig yet, but might be soon. No, I didn't meet them, but they were recognized during the talk. Ok, enough rambling on this...
DH just informed me the Cubs clinched the division and are going to the playoffs
