Marcie - More great pics! I hope you guys enjoy your camping (including the distraught DS). We don't carry pop-ups (or fold-downs, depending on what part of the country you are in) anymore. Do you enjoy yours?

Barb - I hope the wedding hair goes well. I don't think I could deal with a bride on her wedding day. Have you ever seen any of the Bridezilla shows? :scared:

Rose - Jim "Hunker Down" Cantore wasn't on. I think he was still in Mexico trying to convince the remnants of Hurricane Dean to come and get him. That guy is insane! Okay, maybe I have a small crush on Jim. Is that weird? Don't answer that... :rolleyes1

Todd - Nice car! I don't think I could ever do a convertible. I survived a 7 car pileup on I-85 where the car I was driving rolled. That would always be in the back of my mind. (There is no metal framing around my head... there is no metal framing around my head...) I'm sure convertibles are just as safe as regular cars, its just a personal hangup of mine.

My car is on its deathbed. I start it up in the morning and say, "Come on baby... just one more day..." I've been saying that for almost a year now.

KStarfish - Have a good trip home!

Penny - ONE WEEK! :cool1:

Did I miss anyone? I'll agree with Gemma about that chatter. I took me awhile to catch up. It's fun to come back and read what everyone said. You never know what the topic will be!

Today is a muddle-through-it kinda day. I feel like crap with this head cold and the extreme hot temps aren't helping. Hubby is at work until 5:30ish, so I just have to hang on until then. Then I can do the tag team parenting thing (as in, "TAG, you're it.") and let him take over while I curl up in a ball and whimper pathetically.

so Gemma, who is your favorite team in the Champions League?

Mine is Man United, though my Liverpudlian Grandmother bless her soul would probably wallop my aside the head

Tricia- you need chick intervention

a good movie:
steel magnolias, or sleepless in seattle or pretty woman

the right food:
cadbury or hershey chocolate

the perfect beverage: if you like red wine, cabernet
if you like pink, a nice zinfandel
if you prefer mixed drinks, a bottle of tequila will cure anything

the a/c needs to be on cold, a nice blanket handy, tissues for during the movie, and NO INTERUPTIONS

There.....you are all set now.......:goodvibes

If the chick intervention came with babysitting services, that would be perfect. :thumbsup2

I don't see the boys watching Steel Magnolias. There are no cartoon characters or puppets or anything. I'd get a whole lot of "Mommy, have we watched YOUR movie long enough? Can't we see Cars now?" Maybe I could talk them into Cinderella or Little Mermaid and pretend that it was all for me... :scratchin

Ugh. Even the motorcycles that we are plagued with here every weekend are annoying me. The vrooom, vrooom is echoing in my stuffed up head. Am I pitiful or what?

Okay, I'll stop whining now.

Really.

That's cool...this is my first convertible after wanting one all my life. My father had a 1965 Mustang when I was a kid and I loved that car but he sold it.

My dream car (as in "Is it okay to get turned on by a car?" car) is a 1966 Mustang Coupe (not the Fastback)... preferably either blue with the white top stripes, or silver with the black top stripes.

Not that I've done much thinking on the subject or anything. :rolleyes1

Hubby had a Corvette C3 (the Shark model) when we were dating. Only thing I didn't like was the color (forest green? on a sports car?) and the fact that the floor got outrageously hot after driving it for a few minutes.

There is just something about Vintage American Muscle Cars. :goodvibes

I never understood why anyone would have a problem with motorcycles until I moved here 9 years ago. I always thought, "What's the big deal?" I live in the foothills of the NE Georgia mountains. The southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail is about 25 miles from my house. From Thursday night until the wee hours of Monday morning, we are innundated with motorcycle riders coming up to zip around the curving roads. I'm not talking about a few here and there... I'm talking almost constantly. Normally, they are just background noise. Happens every weekend, worse in the spring and fall, so you get used to it. It's just with my stuffy head, the vrooom sound seems to echo in my ears... and there is no relief. Ugh.

Gemma
I guess you will be
