Maybe...not sure yet. It's supposed to be a 50% chance of rain all weekend which is great since we REALLY need the rain.

Oddly enuf, most of this week for us was overcast, rainy and cool (mostly in the 60's ) Tomorrow we have an excessive heat warning!

I didn't any really bad storms but LOTS of thunder, some lightning and a good steady rain which was GREAT! But...now it's getting humid again since the rain stopped.

Hi all, just checking in...
Been busy with other things that went on today.
Weatherwise here: not really any flooding be me. We are doing okay Kids went to school as usual, electricity has been on the whole time by us during the storms yest. Didn't really rain here today, thank God
Got the garage wall fixed this afternoon by the handyman, so I was busy with that today. Had to get an errand done this morning before handyman came. Did laundry also. That was my day today.


Mac- glad your DH got home ok and safe last night. How is he today?
Hey, I didn't get to see you at SixFLags Great America when I was there a few weeks ago You'll have to come down to Schaumburg soon, girlfriend And I mean that!
Next weekend, our town has a big festival for Labor Day weekend. We get to do free carnival rides for kids with disabilities at the Fest
Matthew supposedly is going to march with his Cub Scout Pack in the Labor Day parade.

Can't believe next weekend is Labor Day weekend already

Rose...I'm not GOING to the wedding, I'm doing the bridal party's hair for it Nice change of pace for a change....doing all the back to skool cuts and such....THAT gets old after a while..... especially with the boys....Mom wants the hair short, kid wants the hair long.... sombody make up their mind...not tell me "do whatever" ...cuz I'll tell ya right now....the boy will win and walk out with long hair

(but thanks for the well wish anyway) ....have a great time at the carny....btw, how's DH's job?

The folks on the Weather Channel were about to wet their pants they were so excited about covering the storms in the Chicago area. I had turned it on because we were getting a nasty storm at the same time. I freaked out when I saw the tornado warnings, until I realized that the maps they were showing were in Illinois. We just had a *beep, beep, beep* Severe Thunderstorm Warning, complete with wind gust of 60 mph and 1/2 hail.

Glad to hear the weather bunnies at The Weather Channel were peeing in their pants for our Chicago storm coverage
I don't know, can't imagine Jim Cantorre(sp) getting his pants all wet,covering the Chicago storms
Glad we were mentioned tho, in the storm coverages

I can't stand the *beep, beep,beep* either on The Weather Channel, that drives me crazy when they do that.

He's still working as a temp, been there a week and a half. Haven't heard yet when and if the co. will hire him permanently. The co. is still impressed by his job performance, or so I hear. I guess time will tell if he gets hired permanently. That's all I know for now.

He says he likes it Sometimes not enough work to do, he tells me this. The work comes in spirts during the day. I guess DH likes to be very busy all day. Definitely not as stressful as his former job he got layed off from. Former job was VERY stressful! Not going to go into details about it.

morning all- having the same weather as at bubba's house


horribly hazy hot 90 and wicked humid after all week at 65-70

was thinking of the waterpark, but it will be packed
maybe tomorrow afternoon for a few dips(season pass paid for itself)
