Happy December 1!!!!

Tricia - I sent you warm wishes and hugs yesterday as it looked like you needed it. However, every time I went to post yesterday, the computer just "hung" up and it was very slow. Just so you know, - you were in my thoughts. It sure does sound like you had a BAD day.

By the way, there are FLUFFIES at every school, no matter where you live. You go girl!

Barb - sounds like a great time for 17 days - can I stow away?? Of course, you don't get paid for your vacation - your boss at the office job is an a**. Hopefully, you will have another job by then anyway.

TY PENNINGTON UPDATE:
I haven't got a chance to go the homesite. Today at noon is the first day they are opening it up to spectactors. My niece is Miss Marion County and she is supposed to get to meet him today. I don't know if I can get over there or not today, as we made other plans already. It's still good to know Ty is in town.

Not sure what the day will hold today - hope to maybe do some shopping and some decorating. (and maybe some ty wathcing).

The reason I don't get paid for vacation is because I am part-time. Actually, I work both jobs part-time and the reason is for the 'flexibility of my schedule'. It's easier to have off when I need/want to because of the boys schedule. If I worked a fulltime job, I wouldn't get off as much time as I'd like...and Bubba was never in daycare fulltime (i really didn't want to have to put him there FULL time...) he was there 2x/wk for about 6 hrs. each day..... So, I'm okay with no benefits at either job, because my schedule is SO flexible, and DH says THAT is what's important...HIM and being there for his needs. (but, you're still right...they're @$$es, & I'm still lookin'....)

You have an "easy meet" w/ Ty?? You have GOT to get over there....c'mon.....your 'buddies in th' box' want pictures

Well...off to work.....then Mom's for a sec, then buy a tree, then the grocery store.... what a day it's gonna be!

Just got a frantic call from my mom. Seems like a huge pine tree in her yard just blew down across the street taking with it the power and telephone lines. Sounds like it missed the neighbor's house across the street.
It's 20 degrees here and blowing a gale. Looks like I will have her and step dad over here for the day until they get the power turned back on. Off to tidy up the house before heading over to pick her up. I hadn't planned on entertaining them today...They have the street blocked off, so gonna have to bundle up and walk.

I agree about the flexability, that is what is most important, especially when
you get to work for a play fund. It's always great when the finances allow that, isn't it?

I do hope you can find something better though than the pt job with the jerks.

Sounds like a beautiful day, not! Try to stay warm on the walk over to get them and back and don't blow away.

The wind is blowing like that here too but I don't have to worry about trees around here. There's not one anywhere near the house. Of course one could blow over somewhere and knock out the power though. Keeping my fingers crossed that doesn't happen.

Lori...i too just read about your "automobile mishap" today Glad the soak helped....might need a heating pad too...and some ibuprofen.... it might feel worse tomorrow..but, if it does, remember things feel worse before they feel better

Unfortunately, Bubba has heard about all of 'em.... even spelled the F word correctly in 1st grade.... (oh well....haveta be proud he spelled it correctly, right? )

Makes you proud, doesn't it? He'll learn it all eventually. Might as well learn the situations that it's okay to say them and when it's not okay.

Oh, and Lori, the back thing? Yes, on the Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, whatever) and alternate between heat and cold. Heating pad for 15 mins, then an ice pack for 15 mins, then NOTHING for at least 2 hours. That's what my doc got me doing after my last bout with my back and it really helps.

well after a few weeks of bugging my insurance co and our landlord calling to ask have you heard anything and scraping together 1000.00 to pay my deductible they finally fixed all the damage that I caused by my car running into the duplex we live in now waiting on how much they will raise my insurance

Glad it is settled and I'll keep my fingers crossed that you don't have to KEEP paying for an accident.

Oh yeah, I called the body shop. (In case you forgot, DH hit a deer on Saturday night.) They said that the adjuster estimated the damage at nearly $8000 . It's a good thing we've got good insurance!

Hope to bbl sometime tonight. We have a Christmas party for the kids to go to today. They will be getting a small gift each. We get free lunch and Santa shows up with the gifts for all the kids. Get a fast picture taken of Santa with the kids. The party is for kids with disabilities, at our township building.
I think this is the 4th or 5th year we have gone to this Christmas party. The kids really enjoy it!

Had a very busy day yesterday. Talk about it later.

I'm off to find my children, who are frighteningly quiet. Oh, I forgot... Barb asked about Daniel and he's fine. He seemed to correct his tummy troubles himself when he passed some horrific smelling gas. No complaints after that!

On the agenda today: Take the boys to the Christmas on the Square (our town square is tiny, but fun) and let them play and shop at the Secret Santa store.
