That doesn't make any sense! These movies are classics and IMO are being ruined by these stupid remakes. I guess it's easier to cash in on someone else's success instead of thinking up an original idea.

I agree with you 100% Metro. It really angers me too! I'm a huge F13 fan so I hope I am not too awfully disappointed after tonight. :confused3 My parents took me to see the orginals as a kid (Halloween, F13, Alien). I remember seeing JAWS at the drive in with them when I was 9 years old. If they ever remake JAWS I will refuse to go to a theater again as long as I live!!

Morning all and a Happy Friday the 13th to you! :thumbsup2

BTW...I saw that someone in Hollywood decided to remake Friday the 13th? These studios need to stop recycling the old movies and come up with some original ideas.
I've been saying that for a while now Todd ... not many original ideas coming out of Hollyweird these days

long as they don't remake Nightmare on Elm street/Freddy...nobody does it better than Robert England:banana:

::yes:: ... We actually got to meet Robert Englund at Screamfest in 2007. My favorite memory of that was when we went to get his autograph, we were chatting and he asked where we were from. He then proceeds to tell us that way back when, he did Shakespeare in my home town in Canada. As he was talking to us, his assistant asked if we wanted him to take our picture with Robert, and as we said "yes please", Robert turned to me and said in his Freddy voice "Come sit next to Daddy" ... it just sent shivers down my spine. One minute he was taking normally and the next Freddy appeared ... :scared1:

What was even cooler was talking to him at the VIP party!!

For some reason webshots doesn't let you put the full size pic in, so you'll have to click on the picture to see it :confused3

:worship: sweet!

was watching freddy vs jason movie today w/youngest DS, he reminded me of 'my' freddy glove i have hidden in my closet:rolleyes1 ...the one i told my DSs that if they ever touched they'd be toast:laughing:

if refuse to believe any of the true faithful would waste time on a remake w/o the real freddy:sad2:

All the original Friday the 13ths are on Fearnet on Demand for free. Just finished watching the 1st one. I'd forgotten a lot and was screaming with the kids. :goodvibes

I've never watched the rest of the Friday the 13ths because I was always too scared. Remember my mom and older sister going to a matinee to watch the 1st one and walking out in broad daylight scared to death.

Robert Englund without make-up looks like this guy from my church...:scared1:

Sorry to burst your bubble but the remake of Nightmare on Elm Street is already in the works (by the same people who are behind this new F13). They even announced the director yesterday (some music video dude :confused3 ). It's not going to involve Robert Englund either.

:scared1: I will definitely not go to see that one
