Didn't find Matthew's boot  Matthew said he didn't have time to check the school lost and found today, so I went by myself when the kids came home from school. I left them home by themselves for 20 min. I searched the lost and found bin and this other bin people donate clothes in. I also went back to his homeroom classroom and checked again there. Nothing :guilty:
I would think whoever took it yest would bring it back today or at least the kid's parents would at least notice their child brought home a boot that's not theirs, that has someone else's initials on the inside tag of the boot :sad2: I can understand gloves, scarves being missing, but a snow boot? Sorry for my rant.

afternoon homies, i just woke up.....

congrats on the upcoming anniversary.
root for the cardinals on that game.

i got engaged on superbowl sunday years back.
i watched the game i think that is what won his heart over....

sleeping beauty;)

so, tell me again why u like the cardinals? thought u were a bears fan:confused3

let the mayhem begin, we got ourselves a ball game:cheer2:

note to self - go to SAMs tomorrow:thumbsup2 snagged pkg of chicken wings on Tuesday & froze them, need the rest of the goods...nothing like homade bar food, couple long cool ones & a good game...although it'd be nice if my numbers hit too:goodvibes

y'all got ur 3d glasses yet?

Ouch. :grouphug:

That is so funny about the Axe--I just went into the bathroom the night before last and grabbed all the axe products and pitched them. I told him I would even let him buy some Abercrombie (I hate that stuff, too)over that stuff. Reminds me of this old greasy doctor that we could always smell three halls before you could see him.:crazy2:

axe is the worst, even brut is better imo bleech

marci condolences, sickening thought of car repairs...there's a formula somewhere as to when it is no longer beneficial to repair a vehicle...i don't remember it:p

I just had to share this with everyone ... :grouphug:

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 glasses of wine theory...

A professor stood before his philosophy class with some items on his desk in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous 'YES.'

The professor then produced two glasses of wine from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

'Now,' said the professor, as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things; your family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions; things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car. The sand is everything else; the small stuff.

If you put the sand into the jar first', he continued, 'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the good things that are important to you.

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18 holes. Do one more run down the ski slope. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first; the things that really matter. Set your priorities . The rest is just sand.'

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the wine represented.

The professor smiled. 'I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of glasses of wine with a friend.'

keisha, i slept cause i am a sickie.

the cardinals background:
first they were the chicago cardinals, then the st louis cardinals and then the arizona cardinals.

when i lived in southern illinois, baseball was the thing to go see.
when the cardinals football came from chi-town, fans were ready in st louis.

even though they moved out of state, i still love the red birds.

i ordered food for sunday.
it will be an interesting game.

i did read about the universal commercial that will be seen during the super bowl breaks.....it said to watch to see something special...

marci, it makes sense what you are going to do about the car.
hope your car will make it the next 18 months without more major work done on it.

Bonny - good story and so true! :thumbsup2 Oh, and my cheese slicer broke so I just got a new one that I ordered today so I can go back to having my wine and cheese easily! This one came with 6 spare threads/cutters (which is the part that always breaks on mine) so maybe it'll last awhile.

Just opened presents and got some cool stuff (nothing super exciting, but I am leaning against my nice DIS-colored lime green vibrating pillow! :rotfl: Yep, that one was from grandma!). Got a lime green Vail jacket and a pink Vail hat as well. Now if I wear them people can ask if I went to Vail and I can say "No, but my husband did!" :confused3 ;)

Mac - I'll hope the car makes it 18 more months too. I pretty much just use it to drive the 12 miles to work, which is about to become more like 18 miles starting Monday when they start major construction on the freeway I take now, expected to last through 2011. Oh well, at least there's an alternate route. It just takes longer.

Tomorrow night is the big winter dance for my boys so hopefully pics to follow with their girlfriends. Sunday I'm going to another swim meet - should be fun but cold and exhausting again!

OK ... I've officially had it with our wacky winter weather ... yesterday we had rain ... and of course it froze overnight making all surfaces a skating rink (we even had kids playing hockey on the street with their ice skates on), and tonight we have a wind warning - with gusts up to 100 km/h (over 60 mph). I think I'm going to hibernate for the rest of the winter ...

Just checking in to say howdy. We're all sickies now at our house. Took a very long nap late this afternoon and I'm ready to fall over again.

Happy Birthday, Marcie and Penny! Sorry about all the car and computer problems. Our van is getting to that point, too. Nine years old and 190,000 miles! It's held up very well but it needs the timing belt replaced and something done with the chassis, as well as a bunch of little things I can't remember right now. And that ls after the $500 brake job we had done last month....

Gotta hit the hay now.

Zzzzzz....

Goodmorning everyone!!!

I hope that everyone has a great weekend!!:)

The basement is almost completly framed....today should be done!!! That means I can win the lottery tonight so we can move on to the next step!! :rotfl2:

okay, i knew the cardnials were from St Louis, didn't know they were in orginally based in chicago (wiki sez 1960-before my time as a fan;) ) must be a story there ala the Colts (:offtopic: did they pack up during the night & high tail it out of dodge too?:drive: what a shock that was, i do remember the uproar in baltimore mid-80's when that happened...akin to a tenant skipping out on the rent:sad2: )...anyway, i learned something today:cool1: ...now to work it into conversation 'smart-like' tomorrow:lmao:

bonny - good story:goodvibes

Mac, hope you feel better by game time. My husband told me a little bit more about the underdog Cardinals. I always root for the underdog and did you know that studies have shown that winning teams usually have red in their uniform somewhere? This could be your year.

But I just gotta say that JCP has all their Steelers stuff marked 1/2 off today and the family is going nuts for the Steelers!:cheer2:

And did you all see that the Smileys are wearing the black and gold? :cool1: :) :rotfl2: :cheer2:

Headed to the Burgh in about 10 minutes.

Good morning homies and by the way my DS's love axe too
Especilally the yongest cause whenever he thinks thier room needs some airfreshener he grabs the axe and goes to town with it and I smell it where ever I go for days :lmao: :rotfl2:

Other times he could use a swift kick in the you know where !! :lmao:
I am lucky that he is really handy!!!

Off to make luch for the boys!!;)

Wanted to say :wave2: to everyone ...

Off for another busy Saturday . My kids make my life too busy without them I really could be a calm and relaxed person .:rotfl2: :lmao: ...NOT

Hope all the homies that are sick are feeling better. It is going around a throw up , sleep , throw up some more thing . Just keep it to yourselves I had it go through here once and it is NO FUN .
