Had no idea what to fix for dinner so made an executive decision it will be left overs.
How easy is that….lol
Nothing in my fridge sounds exciting.
Will send Mr Mac to Publix tomorrow for red meat and pork.
Did tell him I am chicken “out.”
It’s off my list for the week.
Always can fall back for meals in town when we want fish for dinner.
It’s never high prices.
Hard to go wrong with chicken, but yes a good mix with steak, fish, pork and anything else we fancy is good for dinner.
Not many cheap places over here, the cheap ones you wouldn`t want to eat at!! Well, some are ok, but few and far between.
I haven’t had perch in decades. Rarely on restuarant menus here, the frozen stuff in grocery looks lacking
No, it’s a dehydrated form, not the same texture as the regular mashed potato flakes if that makes sense?
All you are instructed to add is water. We swim against the tide & always add cream and butter. Believe our “doctoring it up” is key to being passable. The texture is very similar to home made mashed potatoes vs any other mix I’ve tried.
Still, won’t argue, fresh made generally better…
Unless, it’s my in-laws’ versions

Lol
I’m sure he will be a starvin’ Marvin afterwards!
Me neither, unless I’m strapped in a plane

. The railings are high & secure. I had no issue with being up so high, think the fact it was night and there was such a glorious view it never crossed my mind.
Seriously, he looks parched
I like each, separately though. Wanted to like that meatball recipe when it first came out decades ago and everyone else did. What’s funny is every now & again I find it pop up on a potluck buffet. The contributor is always so excited to have stumbled upon “a new” dish and so eager to have me try it. Can’t bring myself to burst their bubble…take one to be polite and hide it under my napkin. Everything old is eventually new again.
One easy dish i do like is nothing more than can of whole cranberry sauce & package of dry onion soup mixed together and dumped over boneless chicken filets & baked. Normally, not the sort to make that recipe but sooo good, even my picky family will eat it. Sauce good over rice too
Now that I’m hungry, off to eat my chef salad lol
I don`t think we have anything like that over here for potato...maybe we do and I`ve never noticed. Yes, I can imagine cream and butter would work better than water in that case.
I haven`t made that cranberry/bbq mix for years, yes it was popular, I prefer to make my own IKEA type sauce when we have meatballs, only make it more like a pepper sauce, but creamier, everyone loves it. Oh lordy I agree, it`s not new by any means, I first heard of it in the 1980`s I think.
lol....I tried to feed him, but nop he had some water and that was it!!!!
Hope you enjoyed that salad!!
Sounds like a great dinner that I would eat.
Can never go wrong with chicken noodle soup topped off with cookies and ice cream!
lol.....I just mentioned chicken noodle soup the other day when we spoke of soups!!! What a coincidence. I adore my own chicken noodle soup, thankfully so does everyone else

one of these soups that`s good to share.
I do like ice cream though, but usually make my own, can`t be beaten.
I may have dreamt this but I`m sure I saw some ice cream packs with horror characters on the tubs recently and don`t know where I saw them or if I imagined it?????
Hope you`re staying cool with that heat!

Good Wednesday evening everyone

Thank you Carole all went well.
Sorry to hear your cooler weather has returned. I would gladly send you some of our heat.
Thank you Janet.
It is good and bad to be on this side of the medical field. You know the possible outcomes in various scenarios. The doc was wonderful on my consult meeting and answered any questions. I felt confident in him.
I did have a sleepless night before the procedure because there were definitely unknowns involved.
With my family I’am very protective. Honestly if they know you are a Nurse they are more on their toes to make sure all is right.
It is nice to have someone medical in the family to make sure things are being done appropriately in the hospital. Sadly you need to be on guard in this day and age.
Thank you.
Thank you Ruth.
Sorry to hear about your fall. I hope you feel better soon. You will be in my prayers.
Everything went well Mac. Thank you for checking in.
Ouch……Glad to hear you survived the fight with the wall……I’am fairly clumsy….our son keeps telling me he is going to buy me steel toed slippers because I have broken my toes by hitting furniture so many times.
Part of the fun of your trip is looking forward to all the fun things you have planned. Enjoy the fun of the planing.
Checking in.
Hope Kyle had a good run this evening. I’am sure you had a warm cup of tea for him to warm him up afterwards.
Thank you Charade.
I have seen spackle potatoes before….LOL….you almost wonder if they have planned to lock everyone’s mouth up.
There may or may not have been spackle instant potato stalactites on the ceiling of my dad and stepmoms kitchen. My brother and I were pretty good with our spoons. Those plaster of paris instant potatoes were wicked.
Up early yesterday for the procedure. Arrived on time. Everyone was so nice. I had prayed that the first round of cutting would do it.
The way the procedure is set up is they cut out the area of cancer and a little more tissue around it. Then send it off to pathology if it comes back with clear non-cancerous margins then you are done. If there is still cancer in the margins then he would go back and remove more tissue and so on until clean margins are achieved.
My prayer was that the first go around would take care of it. My prayers were answered. After the first go round the pathology came back good and we were done. I was so relieved.
It is a small area near my nose so we decided to try and see if area will fill in and heal by itself. If he had attempted to stitch it it would not have turned out as well cosmetically. He told me if I’am not pleased with the results after healing he would fix it. He said it should fill in and I would have a small indented scar that would fade over time. I can deal with that.
He was a wonderful doc.
Don’t think I shared this. Not long after I was diagnosed I noticed a mole about 2 inches under our son’s right eye. I told him to go in and Have it checked out and he has basal cell cancer too. The same doc is going to do our sons procedure in August. I felt bad for him having to go through this too, but thankful it was caught.
Glad it is over. A little sleep deprived from Monday night and last night. Hopefully good night sleep tonight.
Thank you all, for your kind thoughts.
It was nice to see the Epic Universe Model when I was at Universal recently. I’am sure there is going to be a massive amount of folks that want to get into the park. Universal is going to have to come up with a plan to help control how many people will be in the park at one time when it first opens.
Epic Universe sounds amazing. Like Carole I would like to have a stay at the Helios hotel too. If it fits the description it should be wonderful.
I remember seeing in the news when Hogsmeade opened to the public and the lines were terrible to get into IOA. Can’t imagine what the hoopla will be with a new park.
Have a wonderful evening everyone.
Thank you Robbie, Kyle rather strangely doesn`t drink tea or coffee, never has, we never gave him anything like that as a child, so even in work meetings when everyone has something like that he sticks to water. He did enjoy the race though.
I`m so glad to hear everything went well and the results were good. I hope you`re happy with the scar when it fades, I`m sure it will, they do things so much better today than they did years ago. Continued good wishes going forward and of course for your son too, and yes, thank goodness you noticed it and it`s being dealt with.
And hope you managed to have a good nights sleep last night, we feel so much better when we sleep well. It`s my answer to everything, have a good sleep......
I think we want to avoid that park for a while, it is going to be crazy, but they seem to be taking steps to avoid that craziness when Potter first opened. And yes, Helios is going to be incredibly stunning!!!
Well, Kyle came in soaked last night, the rain just didn`t stop but they all enjoyed the race, then he ran the 2km or so to our home from the end of the race, don`t know how he does it, I think being as fit as a fiddle helps him!!! Had warm towels ready for him and he got changed into dry clothes.
And yesterday his bosses announced to the rest of the office that Kyle is getting promoted and it`s a big one, we are so incredibly proud of him and he is quite pleased to be getting his own office next month to go with the promotion, everyone was so pleased for him as are we of course. So, we need to celebrate that too of course!!!
Today, it looks grey and cloudy, but it`s quite humid again so I think we`ll walk early then go do some grocery shopping. Tom is volunteering this afternoon so I`ll find something to do here. I was supposed to be doing a spa day with my friend today but she had to cancel as she has hurt her foot falling off a horse!! Poor gal can barely walk, but it`s not broken at least, so we`ll postpone that for a time until she is better.
Toast with preserves this morning then out, no idea for lunch but dinner will be something cooked on the bbq outside as although it`s not warm, we`ll have no rain or wind, so my husband does like to cook on it, I`ll find something.
Thursday again.....and I think it might be 9 weeks till we leave for our trip!!!! How`d that happen that it`s only 9 weeks!!
Have a wonderful Thursday!!!!
