Something About Nothing............ #14

They came up with the story - the lines - scenes - EVERYTHING!!!! This was the best one yet. It was a funny take on Sherlock Holmes. They even had pre-recorded " scenarios" t
Sounds like great production value and budget
wasn't hurt - but our car was written off.
Well, that’s what’s important but, never fun to lose a car
The boys and dh keep me on my toes and have problems picking on Mom ::yes:: Life with boys - and I wouldn't change a thing
Absolutely
That is awesome when you have great customer services like that!
It was so surprising, thing of the past

Saturday is here. The first of June.

And DH got me up, so so early, and is so animated about the never ending issues with his family. I feel actually sorry for him. But I do hope there’s an end to it. We are getting too old for family drama. Just venting. Sorry. Back to nothing about something, like weather.

Weather has been beautiful these last two days. So sunny out again, and 80 the high. Break out the shorts today. Woot! Sunglasses used already. Woot!

Never actually fun to total an older car and get a new one. But always thankful when no injuries from the crash that caused the car to be totaled. Glad that Pumpkin’s DS was not hurt. Men and boys, just saying, yep.

Big cup of tea. And glad the quiet is now. DH said he wanted to do errands around 10, I said 9. He left a little while ago.

May make some waffles, as feel like more carbs to start the day. Did wash, as have to be dressed up for a DH’s family get together tomorrow. Early start, so I want all washed today, so don’t have to do it very early tomorrow morning. Then, as told DH, lazy day for me today. As it should be.

And crap, yesterday, SW moved our September flight down almost an hour later, and over an hour later leave flight. Have already booked my best price so far car rental. Another longer wait in the airport to come I think, unless with new times put in, I get the same or better rental rate. I looked, but both revised flights are the only direct morning and later evening routes, and really the best choices. So whatever. Seems never seen so many changes from SW before, and not liking the changes so far.

Weekend here. Yay!

And hope Mac is having an awesome time with her grandkid and family.

Good morning to all from a sunshine pouring into the windows having homie.

Lynne, had short visit with the son and family but a short visit is better than no visit.
They left this morning so it’s back to just the cats here.

(Cats can now come out from under the bed.
Don’t think they realize company is gone.)

Already have washed all the bedding’s and now have house back in order.

Kind of a cool nippy day where we live and hope Mr Sunshine will peep out of the clouds soon.

So true Mac. At least you had some time with your grandkid. And yay, for another one on the way this Summer.

Made soup and sandwiches for lunch. Have burn leftover, so if DH is hungry when he comes home, leftovers he can eat.

Now chilling after a nice walk to the coffee place and back. About a mile and a half each way.

Ack, Mac. Stormy there? Hope you get power back soon.

Chilling watching tv. Meatballs and pasta for dinner and I’m still full.

Sweet Sunday, with DH family get together to remember the loss of my MIL a year ago, tomorrow.

Hope all have a very good night sleep.

DH went to bed two hours ago. Ugh. Did I set our alarm, he asked before retiring to bed Nope was my response. He’ll get me up as early as he did today. I’m fading fast, though waiting to hear when older one comes home.

Quick late night stop in

Busy day today. Did a little tidying around the house today. Vacuumed, swept and mopped floors today. Scrubbed down the kitchen and back entrance today. I washed my kitchen and living room windows ( inside and out ) as well as ONE blind in the living room. I ran out of the cleaner I spray onto the blinds then rinse them off in the bathtub, dry, then hang back up. Hopefully one night this week, I can get the other 2 done - as well as the bedroom windows cleaned.

Dh and boys got the boat ready to hit the water - so we are off to go fishing in the morning!!! Hopefully we catch a couple of keepers, but I will be happy to just catch one or two.

My backyard smells AMAZING!!! Our lilac tree is in full bloom again, with lots of blooms on it. I wish they would last longer than they do - or amazingly bloom again and again.

They left this morning so it’s back to just the cats here.
Awwww. You're right - a short visit is better than no visit. I hope you were able to get all the snuggles in.

I hope you're safe and that the power is back on.
he asked before retiring to bed Nope was my response. He’ll get me up as early as he did today. I’m fading fast, though waiting to hear when older one comes home.
My dh is an early riser too. Days like today- drive me nuts. He was in and out of the house, slamming the door at 7:00AM. He's been told not to do that until anymore until 8:00 am at least. If you want to go outside and work - go...but don't keep going in and out a gazllion times :furious: Tomorrow I'm sleeping in until it's time to hit the road.

Well, I should get going - It's almost bed time.

I'll leave a night light on for anyone who can't seem to sleep.

Have a great day tomorrow :wave2:

Good Sunday morning everyone :wave2:

No idea plus members get 20% off entire pre tax amount. Only issue is I need to submit bill to insurance company myself for my reimbursement allowance. Can’t wait for them to come in woohoo!
Janet good to hear you were able to find some glasses and great to get a discount at Sam’s.

I’m not really sure. I’ve only flown from my home airport twice and the first time dh had made the reservations. I am looking for the best value that will have me in Orlando before the hotel shuttle stops running.
I don’t like to get in late at the airport either. It just really messes up the day for me.

Dh texted me pictures of youngest ds's car being hauled away today. He was in a small accident 2 weeks ago. He wasn't hurt - but our car was written off. It was an old 2005 Sunfire - not wor
Thankfully your son was not hurt. Sounds like you all really got the good use of that automobile for years.

Dh and boys got the boat ready to hit the water - so we are off to go fishing in the morning!!! Hopefully we catch a couple of keepers, but I will be happy to just catch one or two.
Hope you all catch plenty of fish.

My dh is an early riser too. Days like today- drive me nuts. He was in and out of the house, slamming the door at 7:00AM. He's been told not to do that until anymore until 8:00 am at least. I’am the one who is usually up early and I’am quiet. If I decide to sleep in hubby is not as quiet. Wonder if it is a man thing,

Mac so good to hear you were able to spend some time with son and family. Getting some grandma time with the sweet grandbaby is awesome.

Sending out good wishes for Carole and family.

Have not seen Ruth for a few days. Hope all is well.

Rain rain go away…..LOL….it rained all day yesterday and it is gloomy this morning.

I started making bracelets over a week ago for HHN. I had read about folks giving them away at HHN. My thought was to make some for family, friends and TM’s at the Park. Did branch out and make some other bracelets too. My favorite so far has been the one I made for my sister who is a Grinch fan.
IMG_9640.jpeg

Then thought about making them for the rides too.
IMG_9638.jpeg

I made my niece a Ravenclaw bracelet.
IMG_9639.jpeg

Then I figured if I made Ravenclaw I had to make the other House bracelets plus a Hedwig one. I have some family members who were sorted in the different houses who will like getting a bracelet.

It is a nice way to pass the time on a rainy evening.

I’am looking forward to my upcoming trip it is only

Days away.

Planning on a surprise Father’s Day celebration for hubby. Going to have it on Saturday the day before Father’s Day so all the other dads can be home on actual Father’s Day to be spoiled by their families. I need to figure out what I’am going to serve for the meal.

Hubby is still sleeping. I woke up with headache and it is feeling better. I might lay down and try and sleep for another hour. Hubby told me last night that he wants to go out for breakfast this morning.

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone doing whatever makes you happy.

Those bracelets look great, Robo. Yay for your countdown getting ever so much closer. Ack, to rain. Hope the sunshine returns soon.

We have another nice day. And DH cannot be trusted. Said our event was less than an hour away. But when we get there, says we are really an hour and half early. Sigh. Hanging out in the parked car for over an hour.

Hope Sunday finds all enjoying a nice day.

Good morning. Another lazy day for me. I didn’t sleep well last night so once I finally did get some sleep I stayed asleep until 10:00.

Nothing interesting going on here. I am continually watching the prices for flights in November. I wish I lived closer to Charlotte. I could get a round trip, non-stop for only $159.

Any help I’m all ears. Haven’t been out there since 2018
Unfortunately I can’t help much with hotels, but if you like the Marvel movies you will love the Avengers Campus.

Went to nieces play last night. It was the production of their own work from a drama club she is involved in. They came up with the story - the lines - scenes - EVERYTHING!!!! This was the best one yet.
Wow. A lot of talent went into that.

Dh texted me pictures of youngest ds's car being hauled away today. He was in a small accident 2 weeks ago. He wasn't hurt - but our car was written off.
Sorry about the car, but very glad your son was not hurt.

We are getting too old for family drama.
I can relate. I have completely cut off contact from one family member.

And crap, yesterday, SW moved our September flight down almost an hour later, and over an hour later leave flight.
How annoying. The only time I have been happy with a flight change was when we were switched to a nonstop to LA.

Busy day today. Did a little tidying around the house today. Vacuumed, swept and mopped floors today. Scrubbed down the kitchen and back entrance today. I washed my kitchen and living room windows ( inside and out ) as well as ONE blind in the living room.
That’s more than a little tidying.

I started making bracelets over a week ago for HHN.
Very nice. I didn’t know they did that for HHN. Reminds me of when we used to exchange swaps with the Girl Scouts.

We have another nice day. And DH cannot be trusted. Said our event was less than an hour away. But when we get there, says we are really an hour and half early. Sigh. Hanging out in the parked car for over an hour.
Ugh. Why so early? I hate waiting around with too much time to kill.

I suppose I should get ready in case we go out for lunch. I have no plans for the rest of the day.

Ah, was a long day yesterday, but nice to remember my MIL, with a long service and a lunch. All I’m going to say, is that one person’s favorite restaurant is not everyone’s. And so, I asked DH to stop for food on our way home. And glad little one came home not much after us, with iced coffee for me. Ah, then a relaxing Sunday night, with that ever so restless bed mate, that made us both awake doing before the alarm went off. Maybe a nap later this afternoon. Hmmm. But big cup of hot tea. Ahhhhh.

Marvelous Monday to all.

Daily weather report for here. Overcast and then partly sunny, with a muggy overnight we should have. And weather news guy this early morning, said random rain and thunderstorms around this morning. My one weather app says 15 perfect of us get rain now, then no percent shown for the rest of the day. A peak of my weather radar app shows rain and lightning along the coast, but spotty looking. So dry today, hopefully.

Week day routine it is. And given a Monday, at least I can hear the trash trucks to be here sooner than later this morning.

Good Monday morning.

Quick Monday morning stop in :surfweb: It definitely feels like a Monday.

We had a fabulous day fishing yesterday. The water was so calm it looked like glass. We caught quite a few fish. But because of size allotments, we weren't able to keep any. If game and wildlife wouldn't put size restrictions - it would be fished out. Last year we were lucky at another lake finding some keepers. But this lake - no keepers. They were all very similar in size. We left a little earlier than we normally would as ds had to pick up his snacks/groceries for working out of town this week. I could have fished a little longer - but at least we got out!!!

We watched the hockey game last night - and we are off to the finals!!!! IMO (and our household) they did NOT deserve to win last night's game. They only reason they won was that our goalie is ON POINT - and played an amazing game. The second and third periods they did not show up for the game - and were just chasing the players and puck around. I thought I was going to have to EMS to pick dh to take to the hospital.

I’am looking forward to my upcoming trip it is only
I love the bracelets!!!! That a great idea.

The count down is almost at single digits now!!!!
Good Monday morning to all!
:wave2:

Well...off to schedule new consults and shuffle papers.

Have a great day everyone!

Taco Tuesday is upon us, and so is a commuting week day routine day. Sigh, the red lights I had, annd ugh, all but 2 were no one there but me. Happy at least one way is no real traffic.

Kids are doing a road trip starting tomorrow. I’m sure they will wave to Keisha, as they are going to a ball game in her city. Then they are going to visit my brother, and then enjoy a day at the lake, before coming home almost a week later. Hehe, they are going to the Western part of the state, along where my college stomping grounds were, as that college is only a few miles from the OH border, and less than an hour’s drive to Erie. Very small college and we used to play against our state university’s satellite campus, named for the location it is in. We used to call them slimy pebble kids. Location is in Slippery Rock. Hehe. Haven’t been back to that part of our state in many years, though did visit Keisha’s city, when little one was college choice hunting, and Pitt U was on her radar.

And so, quiet days for DH and I soon enough.

Ah, quiet here in the office, and cup of tea for me. Nice to be not only warmer in the early morning, but lighter out too, with the sunrise very early this time of year.

And weather, my weather guy this morning said a nice weather week for this first full week in June. And I agree. Stepped out yesterday afternoon, as had errands to run. It felt so warm. Well yeah, we do have our AC on most of the time now, in the house. 87 the high today, with a gorgeous sunrise and full sunny day, until the clouds come around lunchtime, to make it a partly sunny end to the day. And humid, even this morning. Making it feel warmer than the 67 I saw as I came out the door. But as office also cool from AC on, wore a long sleeve blouse, and put a t shirt in my bag. I’ll change to it when I leave, as will be so warm when I do. And going to rock wearing those sunglasses on my lunchtime walk, even if some clouds start to appear, and used that suntan lotion in my car. Face can be red if I don’t use it enough.

Finally, today is the day to enjoy a taco meal at your choice of location. Hope all have a Most Terrific 🌮 Taco Tuesday.

Good Tuesday morning everyone :wave2:

30 Anniversary today! Planning trips and chocolate for breakfast. Best wishes for the start of everyone's week!!
Happy belated Anniversary.

Safe travel to your children.

Big cup of coffee in hand this morning.

Going to watch little J for a half day.

We finally had a nice day yesterday without rain. We have a few showers predicted for today then clearing off.

IMG_3468.gif
Days till vacation.

Need to get moving.

Have a wonderful day everyone doing whatever makes you happy.

Good morning Robo, nice to enjoy some time with little J today. Thank you for your wishes for my kids. Many miles they will put on his car. And yay, two weeks until your trip. Hope that big cup of coffee was in your HHN mug.

The morning is crawling. But yay for tomorrow, not so much for having to commute again, but pot luck breakfast. Snacking morning for tomorrow.

Hehe, I bought these small cubed like coconut bites. Just read the packaging part that says serving size. Um, I guess my serving size is double it. lol

Hey all, it’s been a busy last few days here. Unexpected hospitalization for two of my DSs GM. weird situation all the way around, I always try to take the high road there and be supportive.

GD had another great elite track meet. Interesting as she doesn’t belong to a club, she competes unattached. The others have large groups of kids and pro coaches, lots of support. She has her Dad lol who has scrambled this year to learn the basics.

Ten hour event on the field. Brought our big pop up canopy, under it most of day. Packed coolers of drinks and various food stuffs. Thot I had the sunblock situation in the bag for myself. Haha not quite. I always spray my part. Should’ve worn a hat in the sun. Top of my head literally fried, as in I haven’t really brushed it well until this am when i showered. Scalp is peeling. Long as my hair doesn’t fall out.

she set a PR in 800 m run, took 1st in triple jump…same as the medals they also gave her from last meet. (The host team at that one failed to have them on hand last week eek). Got 4th in her other two events, long jump and 400 m. All in all a really fun but, long & hot day.IMG_2130.jpeg

Seems never seen so many changes from SW before, and not liking the changes so far.
Have had more in last year than entire dealings with SWA.

I’m at the point I’m tempted to book that always one far least expensive NS and wait for a flight change to switch to the better flight for same price.
Kind of a cool nippy day
City schools have heat at home day today. Will be flirting with 90 & high humidity. It’s been up & down here, mostly lower temps and tons of rain.
Know it will come back on eventually.
Have you considered installing a whole house generator? Well, it’s more of key elements in the home. I assume it will take a long outage for my mr to set up the smaller one we have that is manual start.
Sweet Sunday, with DH family get together to remember the loss of my MIL a year ago, tomorrow.
Aw, that’s nice to remember her that way.

Hopefully, the kids will dodge the rain coming this week. It’s funny, our tix prices are still very low for the Pirates. Often the stands are full of people wearing jerseys from the other team, so many people come for home stands. Especially, from California as our CoL is low.
Our lilac tree
Didn’t know there were trees. I do like them and have a few in my yard. Deliberately keep them pruned, they get so spindly.
I don’t like to get in late at the airport either. It just really messes up the day for me.
Friends have been trying to convince me for years to book the last NS flight into MCO. Then, take one of the nearby hotel shuttles & stay the night, returning to MCO after eating the complimentary breakfast and pick up rental then.

They swear it’s ‘the best way’ to start off trips there. Um, I don’t see me doing it unless I’d save four digits lol. Just too eager to get settled in to wherever. Interesting to hear how people do prefer to travel though

Hate that 5 am flight out, have settled into late am one & getting to hotel by 3 pm, often room is ready. Whatever park open till at least 9 pm to bop into for a few hours.
It is a nice way to pass the time on a rainy evening.

I’am looking forward to my upcoming trip it is only
Oh, I’m having flashbacks now…help me JK

Those are very nice ones. Perfect bead size, it really matters IMO for comfort on the arm.

Made so many of them last year to help GD for T Swift concert, then again for HHN my fingers hurt & those tiny spacer/seed beads were so difficult to see, let alone thread on the elastic. Good job!

We did the hide the cruise duck thing too, attaching personalized tags to a hundred of them.

She hasn’t mentioned either this year, I’m not bringing the subject up.
Going to have it on Saturday the day before Father’s Day so all the other dads can be home on actual Father’s Day to be spoiled by their families. I need to figure out what I’am going to serve for the meal.
That’s very smart and who doesn’t love to stretch out a special celebration? Woohoo
Nothing interesting going on here. I am continually watching the prices for flights in November. I wish I lived closer to Charlotte. I could get a round trip, non-stop for only $159.
I was so excited to discover that google flight finally included SWA into their mix. I put on those price alerts so fast this AM for all trips I’m considering this year.
Unfortunately I can’t help much with hotels, but if you like the Marvel movies you will love the Avengers Campus.
Oh, yea! The mr hasn’t seen the GoG overlay on the ToT. Even tho a twilight zone fan, I thought it well done. Don’t laugh, I’ve been purposely avoid any videos of the land for the last, what 5 years?as I wanted to be surprised. Same as with the ride thru for Tiana
I thought I was going to have to EMS to pick dh to take to the hospital.
Hahaha. It’s been a dry spell. I had mentioned my eldest DS will be there for https://worldjrfootballchampionships.com/
. The city is really expected to be lively! Looks like you are guaranteed home games on the 13th & 15th.
Planning trips and chocolate for breakfast
Sounds like a great way to spend an anniversary. Unmelted chocolates can be a rare find in Florida, I learned that the hard way with chocolate covered strawberries.
