Clean up on Aisle 3......

Dropped a pot of marmalade on the floor of our kitchen this morning while setting the table, least it wasn`t the whole jar. I don`t like the jars on the table and always take some out into a specific pot for preserves, otherwise it would have been much messier and the pot didn`t break unlike the glass jar would have.

Sun is up and it`s a gorgeous day........

Ack, Schumi, sticky spill, but at least in your pot and no glass to break. Hope your morning was nice with reading to the kids, and your knee is feeling better. And hope the new color for your bedroom is the right one. Sounds like almost done. Will be nice when all back together, refreshed.

Charade, still an accomplishment, even if took so long. I think many take years to complete, as life happens to make it that long of time.

We’re were starved last night, pizza hit the spot, and with a look that IOA was open to 9pm, we wandered in by around 8:20. Waited about 5 minutes for the trolly, and got the last row. I don’t ever think I had that row before, and it was perfect. Then we strolled into Potter area, 75 minutes said Hagrid’s, so that was a pass. Little one jumped on the Dino coaster, with became almost a 20 minute wait for her. As we continued to the exit, it was a few minutes before 9. Spiderman was open, so we went through the express line, and the noisy threesome in front of us, we thought if we were slow, we may not be in the same car as them. As we got to the ride, they were just filling up the back of the car of people. The guy put us in the first row, and we had the car to ourselves. He put all the stand by people in the other car. Wahoo. But that took a whole 10 minutes total, so now a few minutes after 9, we decided we needed to chill in our room. Walked back. That’s what’s so nice about this hotel. Walking is easier, from both parks, as unless we are on the side of the boats, no need to use, generally. Was a humid feeling warm night.

We had a great day, ending with a huge meal at The Kitchen. Rolled ourselves back to our room to relax. May stroll in CityWalk later on, maybe not. It was very warm today.

And Tuesday morning again......and last day of January......

Last day for the decorators. They`ll finish up mid afternoon and I`m really happy with the job they`ve done. But, I made a boo boo......I thought it was this Friday we get the flooring down.....nope, following Friday!! So we have a little longer to see the finished rooms, well the master bathroom will be finished as we put new flooring down last year.

So, no closets either till the 13th! I knew the dates, but my little brain was thinking a week earlier......

But, all good.

Heading out to see if I can find new shades for the bedrooms and new bedside lamps for us, some options are very odd for sure. I`ve never wanted a bedside lamp with a brass lion or any kind of animal on the base......will keep looking!

Will look for some little bits and bobs too while we`re out, will get a new duvet and new bedroom cushions for the bed and the chairs we have in there. I love that kind of shopping when it`s for the house.

Haven`t decided what`s for dinner tonight, might have pork fillet in honey mustard roasted with either stir fry veg or parmentier potatoes, or maybe not. Will think about it later.

Finished reading Wuthering Heights last night for the book group, I forgot how good a book it is. One of the ladies wanted to bring back the movie of the month, but that was really for when we were all in lockdown and not able to do much of anything, so we decided not to do it as a group.

Time for an early breakfast as decorators will be here around 8 this morning, will have a huge pot of tea ready for them.

Ah yes, a Tuesday is here, one where hopefully Mac is felling good to be enjoying a Taco Bell meal on this Taxo Tuesday.

Warm day for us as partly cloudy, then the skies will be clear and 85 the high. We are thinking VB day, as seems perfect weather for pool time. Then we are thinking of having a late lunch in DS. At least that is our plan. I was hoping we make early entry, but I doubt it. Yesterday, we did not get into the parks until after noon.

Noisy people in the hallway since about an hour ago. Now, early entry for IOA just started.

Well, we`re in one of the other spare rooms, so all our clothes are in those closets, but I just want to see my room finished with flooring and all the closets, drawers, cabinets and new bed all in place! I`m impatient.

Yes, there is some dust around but we`re on top of it. Can`t do anything this afternoon as they did the final gloss coat, so don`t want to raise any dust......but just got a call from the furniture builders confirming they`ll be building everything up on the 13th! Bed is arriving that day too.....so two weeks from now we`ll be done!! Other spare room just needs a few things back in there and it`s done. But, we love the colours. Yep, everything has been done in the last year or so, so it all looks fabulous.

And I did tell you earlier I planned to do some TR today.....oops! Never got round to it, I did get sidetracked a little......I will finish that report!!





Yes, one of those busy days, but managed a little chatting as one of my openly nosey friends popped round to see the decor, I`m surprised she lasted as long before coming round. She did bring a cake though......

Made honey mustard chicken for tonight, it`s marinading right now, will cook it later with some wedges and roasted carrots, it`ll be quite hot as I can smell the mustard over the honey and soy sauce. I use Dijon mustard, some use English but I find it overpowering.

Then plan to do absolutely nothing tonight except read a little I think. It`s blowing a gale out there and not too cold, so no walk today.

Another slow day at work. I wish I could use this time to do schoolwork but we don’t have wifi and I can’t use the office computer for non office use.

Dh got a call from our car salesperson yesterday. She verified that she will be able to get the car he wants in the color he wants (red) and it should arrive either late March or early April. He is very happy.

Finished reading Wuthering Heights last night for the book group,

I had to read that back in high school. I really don’t remember much of anything about it.

Lynne - I hope you are enjoying nice weather in Orlando. We are supposed to get rain and possibly a bit of snow this week.

Finally back again!

I'm back at my regular job - new computer set up and back in my space!!!! I had a day of getting IT to get my computer settings and access correct, and files on as well. Then pull all the info I had emailed the last month put into current folders but it's done now! I have missed being in my own space I am creature of habit lol.

Fighting off the last of a cold/flu that dh gave me. He is still pretty ill. Today I woke up feeling human again. He is still saying he will be heading to bed early again tonight. It seems to be taking lots of people out. At the hospital job on Friday, I had a few call outs already for the weekend due to this flu that is hitting everyone.

Weather has slipped into colder temps again. Cold enough to pull out the big coat again....but not the gross cold we had earlier. It is currently snowing. We are supposed to see a bit accumulation this time. Hopefully it won't cause soo much disruption with bad roads for people.

Well, I should shuffle a few papers again. Just wanted to pop in and say a quick " HI"

Pumpkin, oh no, hope you and DH get better fast.

Had a nice dinner with Bobbie and her DH.

Pool time at VB, then went to DS for some Polite Pig lunch, then went to the studios for some fun, before meeting up with Bobbie. After our goodbyes, we saw IOA open for another 20 minutes, so we entered and headed to Hagrid’s. Hour later, we wandered out of the close for event, and now chilling in that coffee shop waiting for mobile order for donuts. Sweet night treats for us. Yay. Of course, want to see ride pictures? Sure ya do:


Tomorrow? Thinking more pool time at Aquatica. Then maybe a visit to SW before getting more soda at Target. I think that’s our agenda. Is a very warm night. 74 out at 8:30pm.

Glad you won`t wait too long for the car. I wonder when the car industry will get back to normal wait times. We were only a few months, but some are still a year.

Not every book will stick with us, I barely remember poetry for example from school, but classics, I love them all and I do enjoy the Bronte sisters books.

Oh snow.....we can all do without that. I`m hoping we`re done with all of that this year, but mother nature has her own thoughts!

Hope you feel better, colds can be completely miserable to get over never mind a flu. Hope DH gets better too, I`m a huge believer in sleep being a good medicine. Take it easy and plenty of hot drinks too!!

You have the best weather even in winter!!! One of our friends in Orlando laughed when I said I was freezing one night when the temps went below 80F in one of our March visits, think it was about 78f, and I went inside as I was cold!! They found it hilarious considering the temps we get back home......but I wouldn`t sit out in that......lol......you enjoy that weather!!!

January is gone again.......February is usually a dismall month for weather, but so far it`s not forecast to be as bad.....that could change!!

First day of no decorators.......it`ll be quiet for sure!

Windy outside this morning but plan to walk into the village to get a few things and hopefully it`s not too bad.

Going to facetime one of my Goddaughters who lives up in Manchester, they have little Arabella who turned 2 last month, haven`t spoken to them as they go away for 3 weeks in January every year so we miss the little one`s birthday, but will see her today. Last facetimed with them at Christmas so I`m sure we`ll see another change in her, they change so quickly at that age. Beautiful little girl, but her mum and dad are both lookers, so she has good genes. Clara was always glad she never inherited her dad`s bulky nose.....lol......

No idea for food today, but baked some bread last night, will have a couple of slices toasted with marmalade and open sandwiches for lunch, will see what we feel like for dinner later, might do a charcuterie board if we visit the deli, they have beautiful produce.

Ah yes, a day we will still be in the 80’s, though. 69 degrees out now. And yep, hello camel:


Why yes it is, a hump of a day feeling, as Friday is ever that much closer. And eh, means our week of lazy is also half way done. Oh well, we have been enjoying ourselves since we got here. And will make our last full day, Friday, the longest with most likely likely staying until that 1:30 am parks’ close.

And yes, that month of what I think is the coldest in our calendar,



Yep, make it a good month for all, indeed. And enjoy some loving, as if any a good month to have some, it’s February. And the month that the last holiday off happens, before the Spring no holiday off drought. But when a holiday off resumes in late May, that yay a holiday coming up happens almost every month.

And so, a good morning to all.

Just heading out for lunch, only into the village but it`s a lovely little place where Tom always has the mussels and I have the shrimp, avocado and smoked salmon salad.....not too heavy and they`re licenced so we can have a glass of wine with lunch too.

Not as cold as we thought, so it`ll be a nice walk and get us out for an hour or so.

Posted a thread on here about the drone testing UOR have been fiddling around with recently.....looks like they`ll be doing a drone show soon. London did an amazing fireworks show at midnight on NYE and it included drones, it was magnificent, so I`ll look forward to this being added to a show hopefully.

It was great to see that hump day reminder

It's still snowing here. Even though dh swept off my car when we left for work, by the time I left, I had to sweep off the car again. Thankfully I had my boots on....but the snow is half way up my calves already....and still falling. Thankfully I only have to drive around the city, and find I can get around no problems. My Izzy does great in the snow.

Messaged dh and he is still feeling quite ill - of course he's too stubborn to stay home from work. Good thing, he works alone in his office and has been chatting with his crews through video chats so he doesn't make them sick as well. He doesn't get sick often, but when he does, it takes him a long time to recover.

I went out to breakfast with one of my Rockit Sista’s yesterday morning, I had my favorite breakfast Eggs Benedict. Hubby does not like getting up early and this restaurant is a local favorite so have to be there when it opens to get in at 7 am. I’am a early riser so that works for me.

It is great you get to meet with your sisters and hang out doing things like that. I do miss living close to my family, and be able to do things like that. You are very lucky!

I managed to get everything finished that is due tomorrow and have started working ahead in my photoshop class. I have finished next week's assignments and am halfway through the week after. I don't remember if I mentioned it or not, but dh is in the process of writing a book. I had to submit a proposal for my final project, so I am going to attempt to design a book cover for him.

I am sending you all the vibes you need to get through this last semester! You will do it!

Ack, that four letter word of Winter white for Pumpkin. Nope, not wanting it. And at least at home, a dusting before arctic air arrives to have us returning to a high of 27 degrees. Brr. Good thing I have my winter lightweight jacket here.

Now relaxing, after a nice hot shower, bathing suits ready and drying. Snacking some too, as that Taco Bell lunch was not the best. Oh well. There was, however, a Starbucks right next to that water park, hence, iced coffee with those in room snacks. Thinking maybe a burger and fries for dinner, as close to Target.

Oh and last night we mobile ordered donuts, and little one got two. That second one was polished off this morning, including me finishing my huge donut that was on a wide popsicle. Yum.
