Quick Thirsty Thursday stop in!!!!! And yes - after this week, beverages might be consumed
Busy day today on the unit. The last push to have pt's that only have a few treatments to be completed by Dec 24. Plus those who are in the consulting stages - we are pushing their specialized imaging until after Xmas. It's a delicate dance and of course we have limited staffso I will probably have a few more grey hairs after this season is done.
Weather is still cold. I can't seem to spend much time without having my skin tingle - especially my fingers and ears. And with curly hair - I don't dare wear a beanie or toque as my hair would look like I've had my finger in a light socket.
The last of the items were bought last night and wrapped. I'm just going over with dd our food menu and who is bringing what for Xmas Eve and Xmas day! I am working Xmas Eve until probably 4:00For years with my old job, I was always done dec 22/23 and then they were closed between Xmas and New Years. So it is an adjustment for everyone. Next year, IFI have some vacation days left, I will use them for extra days off at Christmas time.
We have allllllllllllllllllll been asking if it's Friday yet!!!!! I have hinted that I'm going to bring Bailey's for our coffees at work soon
Your pie sounds intriguing. I follow a few British chefs on social media, I will have to see if they have ever made something like that. I think I would really enjoy that!
Love it!!!!! We have some xmas decorations up. Not as much as other year apparently. But honestly, we have been slammed with patients that there has been very little down time.
I started this post this morning - it's not about 30 minutes to home time. Busy day, but my to-do list is completedTomorrow is just doing my regular admin tasks.
Off to get charts ready for tomorrow.
Have a great day everyone!!!!
British pies are something special, very moreish and always lovely. Mine worked out nicely tonight, pastry success!
Having Christmas off is special, if you celebrate of course, yes, keep your days and have that time with family. And enjoy those Baileys, love one or three anytime!
Cold here too, frost this morning, so automatic start on the car was welcome, we’re not getting much warmer over the next few days.
Hope the rest of your day went quickly.
Had another Christmas night out……friends are the best! Ended up being around 20 of us tonight and singing Carol’s in the local pub, really nice night and I won a prize in the Christmas Raffle…..a meal out at a local restaurant that is nice, the are mainly known for steaks, will go in the new year.
Not long home, it is cold out there, house was cosy to come into.
Heard from Kyle who was enjoying a nice dinner with the other folks down with him, he’s had a lovely week away, will see him on Saturday to hear all about it, we’re going out for lunch and a Carol service in a huge garden centre in the afternoon.
So proud of our boy and everything he has achieved!
Up early tomorrow, some friends popping in, but will be baking for some village events next two days, but will stop for a cuppa with them. Have their presents wrapped and ready to go.
Watching a strange horror film right now, nope, not for me!
Bed soon for us……..
