That is great news!DH may be going to out-patient status soon. Will be nice to have him home very soon.
Sounds like a perfect day!Heading out for the day, some park time this morning hitting the favourites followed by hopefully some oysters for lunch!
It’s become sort of a tradition for me to get a new Scooby shirt before I go to Universal.Everybody loves Scooby Doo!!
That is so crazy. Did they charge separately for rides back then or was this the only cost?Look @ that ticket price lol
Great news.Ah, DH may be going to out-patient status soon. Will be nice to have him home very soon.
We went the first week of October in 1996 and there were no crowds. I miss those days. One of the club lounge ladies asked to see our pictures of an empty Splash Mountain line, no one else there and we rode it again and again without getting off! Fabulous times before the September crowds started!
That’s crazy. You need to move farther south.I woke up to a rain/snow mix this morning.
Quick hump day stop in - before I get to work this morning.
People always wonder why I don't like fall and detest winter. This morning is a prime example of why. I woke up to a rain/snow mix this morning. No wonder my head felt like it was going to explodeAlready - the cool/cold weather is here...and it's only October
Son-in-law arrived last night. He said it his him as he was driving into the city last night - he's not leaving and that the trip he's on is not just a visiting the outlaws trip. He also said gd asked if they could live with Gramps and Grams foreverHer dad said "Nope...but you will get to visit whenever you want" which is probably true.
Dinner last night was taco in a bag. Trying to use up what is in the fridge and freezer. I thought that was a good way to use up some of the last few items in the fridge. I'll have to go through my veggie drawer tonight. I think tonight is going to be Salisbury steak and mashed tatters with caesar salad and maybe I scrape up some corn out of the pantry. I don't think I have any other fresh veg in the fridge. Tomorrow night is butter chicken and naan bread.
YUMMY! I hope it was cooked perfect!!!

That is great news!
Sounds like a perfect day!
Well, I should get going...work work work
Have a great day everyone!!!
Quick lunchtime post. This has been a strange week with the boss out all week. I like the quiet though.
Disney released some 2025 discounts yesterday. I didn’t save a ton of money, but every little bit helps.

My first trip to WDW was in 1989. MGM Studios had just opened. I was 21, but acted like a little kid every time I saw a character. I think I still have my park maps from that trip.
I will leave you today with a sad story. Many years ago I decided I wanted a piggy bank to store loose change. I had difficulty finding a pig shaped bank. I eventually acquired a couple of small banks. One day I was in Helen, GA and spotted a huge piggy bank. I had to have it. I have had this bank for over 30 years. Longer than I have been with my husband. Yesterday dh slipped and fell on my pig leaving a 3 inch hole in her back.

My poor piggy. I’m going to try to find a cork stopper for the hole.
He's a wee bit sinisterYep, a camel enjoying this Fall month, and still reminding all, a mid week day is here
Good news! It's been such a long time, I'm sure he's itching to get homeAh, DH may be going to out-patient status soon. Will be nice to have him home very soon.
Oh, no...People always wonder why I don't like fall and detest winter. This morning is a prime example of why. I woke up to a rain/snow mix this morning.
lol so cute!He also said gd asked if they could live with Gramps and Grams forever
No E ticket that I recall. Also, the lines were basically walk onThat is so crazy. Did they charge separately for rides back then or was this the only cost?
even tho he maimed your piggie bank, only seems proper to ask if he's okYesterday dh slipped and fell on my pig leaving a 3 inch hole in her back.
How about, since the Mr made the hole...My poor piggy. I’m going to try to find a cork stopper for the hole.
Holy smokes! That's dedicationKyle said he was running 22 miles on Sunday as part of marathon training and said it was 38F!
Inquiring minds need to know wherePark time was lovely this morning and yep, we did enjoy oysters and shrimp for lunch!
For giggles, I tried new scrub brush and bathtub foaming cleaner that Amazon deposited @ doorstop. Not sure what that says about me that I was too excited to wait. Zep foaming btw, 2paws up!
Did some pulling of my clothes for trip. First cull as I call it. Will grab the Mr tomorrow to give Aik in what I pull out of his closet. If I let him pack himself would bring a couple shirts & shorts
Waiting for inspiration to strike. Took out a couple of large boneless breasts from freezer. Thinking Cajun style, trying to use up last of garden peppers & cherry tomatoes. Toss in some spinach over pasta. Should be good to go
Just got an email reminder tomorrow the day to make wdw ADRs for Dec trip. Meanwhile, I'm still staring at this one trying to figure out if I'm going to book anything.
He's a wee bit sinister
Good news! It's been such a long time, I'm sure he's itching to get home
Oh, no...
You didn't...
You said that dreaded four-letter word that begins with an "S"!
I'm not having it
lol so cute!
No E ticket that I recall. Also, the lines were basically walk on
even tho he maimed your piggie bank, only seems proper to ask if he's ok
How about, since the Mr made the hole...
He fills it
I suggest he roll up a pile of dollar bills and stuff the piggie Ala a cork
lol
Holy smokes! That's dedication
Inquiring minds need to know where![]()
Caspian would probably chew on them.why don’t you put some flowers in it to cover the hole?
I hope the parks are kind of quiet when we go in November. As I said to Pumpkin, parks have been quiet,
I am going to try to book Hoop Dee Doo, but that’s the only reservation. We’re just going to wing it for the rest of the trip.Just got an email reminder tomorrow the day to make wdw ADRs for Dec trip. Meanwhile, I'm still staring at this one trying to figure out if I'm going to book anything.
He’s fine. He basically just slipped and sat on the pig. No harm to him at all.even tho he maimed your piggie bank, only seems proper to ask if he's ok
I hope your dh is ok. I like Kiesha's idea to plug the hole! But she would look pretty with some flowers in her as wellI will leave you today with a sad story.
I am crossing my fingers as many of the crowd calendars were saying that it will be lower crowds. We also have 5 days of universal park days - so we can take our time doing them....and not have to race and try to fit everything in that we want in a short period of time.Hope the parks are as quiet for you as they have been for us this week, almost every EP line has been a complete walk on and even regular lines haven’t seemed too bad for those without EP.
It does seem early - but that's what happens when I live in Santa land. Wow...22 milesKyle said he was running 22 miles on Sunday as part of marathon training and said it was 38F! I feel your pain, it’s seems incredibly early for wintery weather yet!
hehehehe. I'm glad you liked it. I have a Zep cleaner I also use for my bathroom that I can only get at one store here. It works great and requires less elbow grease along with my handy pole scrubber. Work smarter - not harderFor giggles, I tried new scrub brush and bathtub foaming cleaner
At least She is being considerate. I know upstairs - they had to send one admin home. She came in sick. After lots of evil eyes and management asking her to mask up it turns out she was positive for covid. She works in a cancer centre!!!! Use your head.....we accumulate lots of sick time for that exact reason....STAY HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can't be bringing that into that unit (especially the chemo unit) where people's immune systems are next to nothingI am alone in the office today. My boss is working from home. She could come in, but is taking extra precautions after having Covid. The other therapist took today off for a weekend trip. I am enjoying the quiet.
Great to hear your daughter and her hubby sold their home.Good news- the kids have accepted an offer on their home. They had multiple offers, and picked one with a tight timeline. It sounds like the plan is once we get home from Florida - gd will be coming here to stay here, so dd can pack up what's left at the house. Son-in-law will take gd to daycare (she already has a spot at one) and I will be able to pick her up when I'm done work until dad gets back from work.
The lady’s that work at the Build a Bear in our Mall are really nice and good with the little one’s. I’am sure your granddaughter and daughter have enjoyed your gifts to them from there. There is a lot of nice options to choose from.Awwwww, Little J is 5!!!! That's a big milestone. Build a bear is an amazing place. We could never afford to take dd there when she was little - since then - we have bought several for her and gdI tried to make it up to dd as a teenager/adult.
Thank you Charade. He had a special day out of his birthday.Happy belated birthday to him.
Sounds like some nice meals you have planned.Dinner last night was taco in a bag. Sorry to hear about your Piggy Bank. Understand your attachment to something so meaningful to you. Finding a stopper sounds like a nice repair idea.I will leave you today with a sad story. It’ll be so lovely to see your little one anytime now they’re close by, absolutely priceless!
Hope the parks are as quiet for you as they have been for us this week, almost every EP line has been a complete walk on and even regular lines haven’t seemed too bad for those without EP.
You reminded me we used to have piggy banks when we were young, mum and dads bank gave them out and they were various colours to choose from and had the name of the bank on them, but they were proper piggies. Not sure what happened to mine!
Yes, stick something on top to cover the hole, it would be a shame to just throw it away.
Beautiful day, we had a nice little breeze this morning that felt very refreshing, but my goodness the heat soon built up nicely.
As I said to Pumpkin, parks have been quiet, yesterday in the hotel lobby there was no one around, apart from us and few TM’s, never seen Sapphire lobby deserted in the middle of the day before.
Park time was lovely this morning and yep, we did enjoy oysters and shrimp for lunch! I’m so glad we found this little gem of a place!
I think the next few days are planned out, have some friends to see and something new to experience this weekend, looking forward to it!!!
Happy Wednesday!!!
lol…..that’s always annoying, I saw you quoted me above but didn’t give a reply! Technology! My phone is so wacky today
keep getting glitches again.
Oh, that had to be a sight. Surprising piggie didn't fare worseHe’s fine. He basically just slipped and sat on the pig. No harm to him at all.
Good lucks to them! They put an offer in on it late last night. So we will see how it goes.
110%. So many out there over-priced, lip stick on a pig sortIt was a great home with good bones and you could tell it was well maintained
should be flying the friendly skies by now!We are just crossing out fingers that the the last flight tonight comes in tonight
Yes, sounds jam packed. You can sleep when back home lol. We just miss youand not have to race and try to fit everything in that we want in a short period of time
AbsolutelyWork smarter - not harder![]()
Um, file it under what was she thinking!and management asking her to mask up it turns out she was positive for covid. She works in a cancer centre!!!! Use your head
It's difficult to take the scope of it in. Pack mules? Hundreds still missing in NC? UnthinkableI have seen some of the photos and videos of the devastation that was caused in Florida, North Carolina and Tennessee. It is heartbreaking.
Prayers for a speedy recovery for him! Is it out patient? His surgery is planned for early Wednesday morning next week. He is having surgery at the hospital I retired from.
