That’s awesome RAPstar. Saw it on Broadway last time we were in NYC. Liked it.

Charade, yay for you and B to be done soon. Little one finished up her finals, and will graduate next week. I agree, these 4 years went by fast. That and she’ll be 22 in August. Oh my. Enjoy the movie tomorrow night. We see it on Saturday, as older one wanted to see it with us, so he had asked for this Saturday off.

Hair salon visit later. I’m so ready for it.

It's that hump day feeling.

I seem to be busy with lots of little things. I think most of it is done now. Still a few papers to shuffle around, but the bulk of my day is complete.

We have another beautiful hot day here. And as I/we predicted - we are now under a fire ban. NO open fires anywhere. No use of gun/target/fireworks or anything with any type of explosive activities as well. We had just got our fir permit so we could use our firepit in the backyard. I guess we will be holding off on using that for the time being.

With all the hot weather, the leaves are popping out and our trees are starting to look like trees again. Early spring here compared to last year where it was mid-June before we had this level of green.

@Charade67 that you are having a weekend away and that you will be able to celebrate no more working on assignments.

@Lynne G I agree about the kids growing up learning the technology. I'm not tech savy - so I will be the senior that will need kids and grandkids to help me with it and of course tease me about it too

@schumigirl I hope your having an awesome trip. Wait times and temperature look amazing!!!!

Well, I should go shuffle a few more papers and do more shredding. I think our shredder is slowly dying. I can't even shred two bins that are full and it overheats

Taking another study break. I am a conclusion away from finishing. I’m going to finish tonight, ignore it tomorrow, then proof and submit on Friday.

Going to Orlando for a few days, but mainly to see the tour of Into the Woods.

I have never seen that show even though it has been performed locally several times.

Enjoy the movie tomorrow night. We see it on Saturday, as older one wanted to see it with us, so he had asked for this Saturday off.

We are probably going to see it twice. I didn’t realize that B was coming home Friday when we bought the tickets. She usually sees new movies with her Disney club, but I doubt they are going to this one.

We have another beautiful hot day here.

I’m glad your weather is improving. We have had a cool, windy day today.

I was just sitting down to start work when I thought I saw something on our deck. It was a bunny. I tried to get a picture but it hopped away. I have never seen one so close before. They usually stay at the back of the yard.

Aw. I have seen those white tailed bunnies around lately too, Charade. Time of year many of wildlife are birthing.

Ooh a Thirsty Thursday is here. And I guess our weather wants to join in. More rain predicted later today. Afternoon rain. Sigh. May showers not April ones. Rainy week. Ick. Flood warnings still in place.

And so that ever up before the dawn, even as we get a few minutes longer every day. And it’s almost bright out now, though still overcast. Teapot was very full this morning. I am not that thirsty, but had a headache as I woke up, and figured drugs and hot tea was the remedy. Maybe. Just dull feeling now. It should pass. I’m not sure why either. Think I did have a good night’s sleep. Whatever. I’m happy it goes away not too long after drugs taken. A very hot shower was taken. I swear the house feels a bit chilly. Everyone else thinks it’s almost too warm. I so like warm. And with it 41 out now, our house heater should be on. Sigh.

Thus hope all have a most fabulous and fantastically happy Thirsty Thursday. Drink up, not only good to be perfectly hydrated, but raise a glass to salute the fact that a Friday always follows a Thursday. Hence, with my lazy Friday this week, I’m so happy the weekend starts tomorrow. Woot!

Good morning. A bit of a chilly day for us too, but it is supposed to get up to 68 today. I don’t mind the cooler weather. I’m just praying it doesn’t rain next Friday when we have commencement.

I am better today. It is warmer but really windy. This fibro stuff has flare ups and then quiets down for a while. I've had it for over 20 years and have adjusted my daily activities to help. Thanks for asking.

It's a bright gloriously (unseasonally hot) hot day here again today. It is supposed to get to 80F. We were talking last night with the low snowfall we had over the winter and no real rain yet for the spring - I'm sure we will be under a fire ban here VERY shortly if we don't see some rain soon. As nice as the weather is....some rain will be good too.

Good to hear you are having some warm weather. Sunlight and warm weather does wonders for the soul.

Good morning. The abstract is finished. I just have 2 more paragraphs to write for the proposal and then I am done. My original plan was to have everything completed by Thursday, but I forgot that we have tickets for the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie tomorrow. New plan is finish everything tonight, proofread and make corrections on Friday morning, then submit for grading. The assignment isn't due until Monday, but dh and I are going out town for the weekend and I don't want to be doing schoolwork then.

I am very proud of B. She earned 150/150 on her capstone research project. She had her final exam on Friday and then she is finished. These past 4 years have just flown by.

Congratulations to B on your research project.

Yes, it seems that the University years are over before you know it.


Sun is shining this morning and we are moving back up to the 70’s today. Weather here will climb back slowly until we are in the 80’s in a few days.

Not much planned today. Sometimes lazy days are good.

Quick Thirsty Thursday stop in!!!!

Friday is on the horizon and I have the weekend off!!!! I am not sure what I all have planned, but I'm sure I'll find something to keep me busy!

I got outside for another walk tonight. I'm trying to get back into the habit again. With the new job - it's taken me some time to get used to it, but hopefully now that I'm back to my regular schedule again, I should have more time again.

@Lynne G Enjoy that target run! I miss that store. I think the one in our little city was one that made money in Canada. It was constantly busy and things sold out so fast here.

Well, I should check and see if I won a shift to work tomorrow. One gal called in sick...so it went out to pick up...I'll take St and OT for short notice.

So nice to have a weekend off, Pumpkin. Hope you are like me, and have that lazy day Friday.

Woot! Friday feeling here for sure. Yeah, I know, I’m up early. Can’t fix an early bird. But difference is, I don’t move fast getting up in my lazy days.

Ooh, rental car rinse and repeat time. Nice drop I just got. Should be more like that price. But I will still be trying to get even lower in the next week. And yay, got September’s one down a good drop from first booked. And so have months to try to get it even lower.

Though hotel and flights no higher, but no lower than got, but well my first night at SF did go quite a bit higher so far, after I booked. Had to do it, as first booked other hotel for a day less, but when saw SW did not have any direct flights the day we thought we would arrive, we are coming a day earlier. And every time I try to do all nights at that other hotel, a good enough difference, that cheapest to just spend our first night at SF, where I scored a close to last September’s great AP rate. And good AP rate at that other hotel. Oddly, ever since I was trying to book the whole time, CB is still higher that first night than SF. And so, when we also did that first night at cheaper hotel, we did CB last time we were there. While we liked CB, when I have the chance to not care about the other three, I much prefer SF. And to see SF cheaper than CB, we are staying that first night at SF. And so, to start our fun, can enjoy Strong water, by just walking from our room. And even though we have to checkout before our reserved time, little one booked Amatista for brunch. Mom’s day gift. How nice is that? I do like that restaurant, and will be nice to see what they have for brunch, as never ate there when brunch served. And will be a perfect way to start our next day, and as most likely our room for the rest of our time, would not be ready early anyway. And we wanted to have some park fun and chill our first day. And hehe, will be a longer day one, as will be scheduled to land around park opening time. And hoping we arrive earlier than scheduled, and take off on time. So nice to be a 2 hour flight, as we hate any stop overs making it longer. Meaning not going through Chicago or even Atlanta before. They are usually the only two choices, with sometimes not even Atlanta. Sigh. Not a SW hub city, and around the pandemic, SW cut the number of direct flights to FLA a lot. Sigh. We do have other airlines that also fly direct there, but those are not ones I kinda don’t want to fly, and American is always higher priced, and I haven’t flown them once SW came to town. Though their prior name, USAir, is one we used. And since we have flown SW enough, twice I have used SW points to make very cheap round trip flights. So we tend to stick with SW and their schedules.

Well, can you tell, we are doing that graduation countdown. Yay! Now to get her to join the working world. Empty nesters soon enough I hope. Oh my, time has surely flown.

Good morning all. Yeah, heater still on. 43 degrees out. And yes, more rain. Drizzling my phone says, will be in the mid morning. Whatever. As little one is done her finals, and the fact I heard her in the wee hours awake, we won’t be out the door until late lunchtime. By then the clouds are just for show, until dinnertime, when phone says have another chance of rain. Well, at least the plants have been well watered naturally. And still cool. 61 the high. So ready for more seasonal weather. You know, 70’s highs.

Chaeade, I book Alamo via Costco Travel website. I belong to Alamo, so when I book with Costco I get both their number and Alamo’s number. When I’m ready to use that reservation, I go to Alamo and add it to my account. Easy. I never pre pay, so you can cancel without putting any money down, and can cancel at any time. I think I’ve cancelled quite a few times so far. I used to use Costco’s number at Alamo’s website, but they stopped accepting it. So now I just go to that Travel’s website. Step I don’t mind, as so far, cheapest I find when I book with them first.

Shore:



Was lovely, as with some rain on way down, and had low crowds. Sea looked almost angry. Yeah, rain at sea seen too. But we had beautiful weather walking on the boardwalk. Came back with treats you can only get from the boardwalk we go to.

Back after going through more rain. Seems we where we are, the rain has held off after drizzling in the middle of the morning. And woot! Tomorrow says 70 degrees the high, with full day sun.
