Good Monday Morning everyone

It is our last night and we have had a wonderful time! We are at HRH, and we rented a cabana today. It was so relaxing, a fantastic way to end a trip!

So good to hear you had a great time on your trip to Universal.

Robo, sympathy to your sister. Never easy to loose your spouse. I hope she finds some peace and comfort from her family and friends in the days to come. Also I am so sorry to hear of granddaughter’s dog passing. Hard when they are part of the family. Sending lots of hugs her way. Have fun with little J, as sweet of you to gift him those items. How cute he is. Nice to see him every Monday now. Finally, ack to not feeling well, with your AC flair. I hope you are feeling better. I say pleasant weather with the 80’s.

I am taking it easy today due to fibro and arthritis inflammation. I did manage to iron my material for the cafe curtain and valance I am making for the laundry room. I did the measurements and hope I figured it out right. Math is not easy for me, LOL.

a let down TBH, we’ve stayed in many modern decor sort. They just read sterile to me. Still, the price was right lol. What I found funny was the complementary upgrade to VB view…um, yes but also parking garage deck with noisy AC units. Still, happy to be there as the price was surely right lol

Yes, your photos do show a room that looks a bit sterile. Being near the air handlers would be a bit much though.

Oh, that is so sad to read. I was so impressed with the services we had for my BiL at the area national one, plan on eventually residing there with the Mr. Kids complained it’s a long drive. Told them they pass a Top Golf, only one in the tri-state area, make it a fun day when you visit lol. They didn’t appreciate my humor

It is nice that there are National Cemeteries for Veterans. I was glad to hear my sister had one so close to her.

Had one of the best travel days we’ve ever had…….slept so well as I usually don’t the night before a flight, but not having to check in early was actually lovely. Enjoyed a leisurely breakfast in the Executive lounge then there was no line at check in, no line for security, plane left on time and it was the larger, newer plane….we had so much leg room in the Premium seats. Cabin crew were fabulous, flight was less than 9 hours and food was decent, good IFE and we picked up a nice rental car!

Sounds like a nice day of travel for you all and a wonderful welcome back to your home away from home.

I hope this coming week is better than the last. Yesterday I heard from a friend in North Carolina. Her husband had a heart attack and the situation is pretty bad. He is currently on a heart pump. I think he's only around 49 or 50.

So sorry to hear of your friends husbands heart attack. He is young fellow in the big scheme of things. Prayers for him and his family.

Lazy start to the day, slept really well and didn’t wake up up at 2am wide awake as I usually do. Will get up soon and looking forward to breakfast and the start of our trip. Everyone here tells us the worst of the bad weather is over…….had someone tell us what it’s like back home……truthfully, I don’t give a rats patootie what weather anyone else is getting most of the time…….but when we’re here, who gives a hoot!!

My husbands favorite saying is “A rainy day on vacation is better than a sunny day at work”…LOL

As we all know the weather can change quickly in Florida. Rain one minute and glorious sun the next.

Sun is shining this morning and the sky is blue. I will take that.

Yesterday we had 3 storms role through. I was out in the yard to do a few things and one rolled through that dropped pea size hail. Interesting weather to say the least.

My neighbor across the street from me in Florida sent me a picture of the SpaceX Falcon Heavy take off. She was in my backyard. She said it was a beautiful clear night.



Going to go and watch little J this morning. Not sure what we will do today. I have his goodies I bought him pulled together to take to him this morning.

Last Monday we went to the play area at the Mall as it was to cool outside to play.
There was a little boy dressed in a Dinosaur costume running around. While J was not afraid of the dinosaur he was not having it. The little boy in the costume was making roaring noises and chasing the little ones. J did not want to stay and play so we left. We did some rides they have in the Mall and went shopping.


Need to get going this morning.

Have fun with J this morning, Robo. Neat picture of the rocket. Thanks for sharing. And older one when a toddler did not like people or kids dressing up in a costume, either. Wouldn’t even go near Santa until much older. We’d wave from the third floor, was as far as he would interact. So don’t blame J not having that with Dino kid.

Ooh think the last trash truck went by. Hope so, as will then take them back from the curb when I go out for a walk in two hours.

Robo: I'm so sorry to hear of your sister's loss. It's a terrible thing to go through, I know. Prayers to her and her family!

I am better today. It is warmer but really windy. This fibro stuff has flare ups and then quiets down for a while. I've had it for over 20 years and have adjusted my daily activities to help. Thanks for asking.

Ah yes that early commuter I was. Wet still, as did rain in the overnight. Phone just said light rain in 6 minutes to end in 35 minutes. Eh, watch it from my city window.

Fast enough on the road, and at least all scans were quick this morning. Yay for that. Thought may be wearing my sweater jacket in the office. Feels a bit cool inside. Did wear my lightweight winter jacket. Is 45 and damp feeling, with a wind that feels cooler because of it. But also humid with all that wet still in the air. 54 the high, so we just can’t put away our more like winter clothes yet. Sigh. Told kids, heater stays on. I hate the house feeling cool when I feel cool in the cooler feeling days.

And what is today? Yay! Taco Tuesday where Mac can have a Taco Bell meal to remember the day of the week.

So grab a taco or two, as Schumi could get one from that little taco truck in Simpsons area. Never got one from there, but think most like those taco from that truck. Not very filling. But that’s what so nice about a taco. Filled with whatever, protein or not, and enjoy that smaller hand held meal. And if you eat enough tacos, should feel stuffed.

Thus, it’s a Taco Tuesday this cooler and damp feeling homie today. Hope the rest of the homies have much warmer and sunny weather to enjoy their tacos. Unless I make them, I doubt we will go to Taco Bell tonight. Little one will only eat their fries, and you know mom, I don’t like eating there. No matter, when older one said he needed gas, I said let’s go grocery shopping after. And so we did. And ended up close to a Taco Bell. He likes their food. Hence my Taco Bell fix on Saturday. No need to do it more then once a week. Thus, don’t be like me and confuse the day to eat tacos, and enjoy yours today. Taco Tuesday. Yep.

Quick good morning. I am running late. I finally got all the feedback I needed from my professor. I just submitted an assignment. I now have just one left.

two DS will be stopping for late breakfast (please let there be bacon in the fridge) one needs his hairs cut…to whomever invented hair clippers, my compliments! another has dr appt for minor procedure this afternoon I need to accompany. A pit stop to Sams on way home to grab frozen hot pockets & chic filet sandwiches the DS at home favors when fending for himself. no idea how somebody could be happy to eat that & those flavored tuna pkgs on tortillas but, it’s easy enough for me to provide. Dinner looking like pizza or McD at this point.

it does seem very popular. I get sick after eating most Mexican food out, especially tacos. Something in the seasoning just doesn’t agree with me, along with that soapy cilantro taste that will ruin it completely. If i want anything in that food genre, make it myself from scratch at home with own spices. It’s a curse lol. Have to settle for nachos (with plastic cheese sauce) when people want to eat at one, usually skipping any salads.

have often wondered how people with serious, life-threatening food allergies (peanuts) manage. One DS did develop a shellfish one, at least it’s easier than most to identify that.

Safe travels tomorrow,Keisha. Woot for being checked in. Yeah I don’t cook much before I leave. Grocery shopping for the staying home ones, yeah do that on the day before too.

Yay for Charade’s countdown. Little one gets her degree 8 days from today. At least her graduation is the first day of two the whole university does its graduations for all its schools: medical, art, business, science, grad and law school.

Hehe I have a small heater in my office. It’s noisy, so I don’t use it that often. Um, so cool in my office, it’s on now. Don’t care, warmer air? Yes, even if noisily done.

And looked at my phone calendar. Ooh going to be that legally blonde for another month tomorrow. Yay! Will be stylish hair for her graduation the next week. Somehow wasn’t planned that way, as I usually just count weeks from my last visit to make the next one. But am ready for it. I swear some times my hair grows faster, and sometimes I think the color fades a little faster. And little one has chosen. Flights, hotel and rental car booked. Woot! A graduation and mother’s day fun. Yep. Don’t have to ask me twice to travel when I can. Never did in May that I can think of. Well, until this May. Woot!

It's a bright gloriously (unseasonally hot) hot day here again today. It is supposed to get to 80F. We were talking last night with the low snowfall we had over the winter and no real rain yet for the spring - I'm sure we will be under a fire ban here VERY shortly if we don't see some rain soon. As nice as the weather is....some rain will be good too.

Slow day at work. Trying to stretch out all the papers to shuffle around.

don't look too closely at my home I'm tidy... but with us always either travelling or me working weekends and lots of extra hours, I don't have much time for deep cleaning lately. I want to tackle my windows in the evenings this week.

Bleurgh……I hate tacos of any kind, never eat them. Like you, we all hate cilantro……tastes like soap to us too so Mexican food is something we never order or go to their restaurants. Nachos are ok if it’s chicken instead of the ground beef and none of those yucky black beans……..it’s never taco Tuesday in our home.

It is gloriously hot, 87F and a lovely little breeze that’s making it so nice.

This lizard is a happy lizard!!!

Kyle adores the Velocicoaster, we did it twice, barely a wait with EP but it was only a 20 minute wait for the regular line anyway. Park is not too busy at all, but you wouldn’t say it was deserted either.

Back to the hotel for a short visit to see a friend, then I think we’ll head back to IOA for a couple of hours. First park day has been so much fun so far!

Hope your sinuses become normal soon, RAPstar. Yeah, my kid is medicated well, this time of year due to his asthma reaction to pollen in the air. Darth Vader sounding if he doesn’t also use his nasal spray with his pills. I feel for ya, whether a cold or allergies. And yay for a birthday trip.

Sigh. More rain my phone says at 9 pm tonight. And it’s overcast, has been all day. And did rain on my way home. And traffic was not fun. Had to wait three lights at the one intersection before I could go at the forth.

Little one and older one went grocery shopping. She made noodles with chicken and fresh tomatoes in a light cream sauce for a late dinner. I took a little nap, as I guess I needed it? But when your kid makes dinner? Score. Was delicious. Nothing left.

Sipped some tea after dinner, as sometimes I’ll make coffee after dinner instead.

Ah, mid week coming up. And I’m so ready for Friday. Made it a lazy one, as needed a shorter week. And yay for me, two years late, but my work gave me a 30 year certificate and pin. I’m just shocked I’ve bern there that long. Time really does fly.

Charade I hope you get an aha for your abstract, Yes, a little one and me trip. Older one used his leave already, and DH needs to not be away as that good son needed almost every day now. She’s 90 and still kicking. We are that sandwich generation, we raised our kids, now taking care of a parent. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do. And thankfully, we can.

Getting close to bedtime for me. I get an early bedtime, as programmed to be up in that early hour. Though with that dinnertime nap, I’m sure I’ll be up before the alarm goes off tomorrow. Thankful too, as done commuting for the rest of the week.

It is raining. Joy. Flood warnings still issued for my area. Yeah at least this rain is light compared to the downpours we got the other night. And yeah lower than average temps. Weather lady said this week temps are more like the first week in March, not May. Mother Nature should be correcting that soon. Saying should see some 70’s high the beginning of next week. Now that would be nice, and more average temps this time of year.

Hope all have a most restful night. Hehe, and maybe a camel sighting tomorrow.

Still a cool morning. 43 said the thermometer outside my front door. Sigh. A breeze too, so I was quick back inside. And no need to put away that late winter clothes. 54 the high. Sigh. And even with the weather getting warmer as we go into next week, the cloudy weather seems to be every day in our 10 day forecast. Eh, as long as it’s bright enough to wear my shades. And glad to see after some more cool days, should be warmer next week.

But at least this week is moving along. So who do I see?


Ah being that ever fashionable ride, camel. Love your colors. And he’s here to remind all, that get by this hump of a day feeling, Friday is now 2 days away. Mid week happiness.

Tea from my teapot. Ah if anything from that virus 2 year no office, it showed me, I’m very happy with my ability to only be in person one day a week. And so, so easy to connect, that work and play gives you the opportunity to be online with others almost anywhere in the world. My kids grew up in a big electronic advanced era. They are both more electronic savvy than me, as while advances were going on when I grew up, the ability to pay, use it as a camera, and basically have a computer as your phone was not during my childhood.

And so, back to that week day routine I am. Have a most wonderful Wednesday today. And enjoy your trip, Keisha, with quick and timely travel today. And hope RAPstar is feeling better today. That goes for Disney and Robo too. Hope Charade got her abstract last night. And good thoughts to all, well wishes to any homie not feeling the best today.

Good morning. The abstract is finished. I just have 2 more paragraphs to write for the proposal and then I am done. My original plan was to have everything completed by Thursday, but I forgot that we have tickets for the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie tomorrow. New plan is finish everything tonight, proofread and make corrections on Friday morning, then submit for grading. The assignment isn't due until Monday, but dh and I are going out town for the weekend and I don't want to be doing schoolwork then.

I am very proud of B. She earned 150/150 on her capstone research project. She had her final exam on Friday and then she is finished. These past 4 years have just flown by.

I need to get to work.
