Something About Nothing............ #14

Just a quick late night stop in.

Busy day at work. It seems I have been doomed with many sick calls - it creates sooo much extra work. I got most of it sorted today. I did see one shift that is not covered yet - but hopefully by morning it will be. I have a plan B,C and D if it's not.

Just waiting for my fishermen to get home. They decided to cut today short and only fish for half the day then drive home. I'm waiting to order pizza for when they get home.

I finished my little project ls night. Redecorated a a small little area, with a little bit of peel and stick wallpaper, new clock and a few other little things. I love it! Looks exactly like I wanted. Now to get things together so that I can do a mini makeover for our bedroom.

40th BD dinner for DiL tomorrow. Found the most beautiful porterhouse steaks
Yum!!! that sounds delightful!. I'm one of those who don't love cheesecake :o
Ooh 11 more days before I say I have a university graduate. She wants a trip to celebrate. Um, we both do have credits from being delayed the last time we flew, that we have to use by the end of May, and sale supposedly at SW. Hmm, so I dare look at flights? To where? Have to ask her. Keep getting last minute cruise ads. Land or sea or both? What to do….
OOOOOOO Congradulations to all of you! I hope your able to find the trip you want.
Walmart had the Panera broccoli cheddar soup on sale today.
That sounds delicious!!!!!
I need to find something to do for the evening. Dh is watching football, and by watching, I mean he has it on theTV while he is sleeping.
Sounds like our home. Dh has a habit of doing that too. Right now, hockey seems to be playing every night :rolleyes2. I will be happy when playoffs are done. Only another month or so .

Well, I think it's time to order the pizza so it's here when they guys get home.

Have a great evening everyone

Me me! I like cheesecake.

Hmm, a loud almost music sound hit me like what? Think the car that parked in the little 6 apartments parking lot behind our home had its windows down and was playing something loudly on its radio. Oddly, I think it was that news channel I use to wake up. Good thing I was already awake listening to that cardinal give his whistling and warbling close to my window again. His territory must be around my home. We get them every so often. I love hearing him. Male cardinals only make those sounds. I guess he’s telling everyone this nest and mate, and area is mine. Just sounds joyful to me.

Otherwise other than a few noisy traffic go by on that main road near me, it’s been quiet this morning.

Sigh, was warm when I went to bed, but kids go to bed later than both DH and I. Too cool for me when I woke up. Set the alarm for tomorrow, then took a nice long shower. Made some chocolate muffins, that I know all will eat. Dusted mine with some powdered sugar. Yum. Then made eggs and toast, as DH asked for a cheese and egg sandwich. Me, eggs with a piece of toast not made into a sandwich. But filling enough, and soon DH will be out the door.

Think Schumi already beat DH out the door, so I hope her car service came as asked, and the family is almost there, as the airport area hotel. I hope you have a relaxing time at the hotel, and a safe flight tomorrow, Schumi.

Back up to get dressed for the day, and the dove cooing has replaced the cardinal. Love hearing it too. Those, I think both make and female coo, and hard to tell which one it is. I’m thinking the female, as maybe she has a nest in the huge holly tree next to my one window. She’s closer than the cardinal was.

And so, DH out the door to be that good son. He’s hoping the grass dries enough before the thunderstorms roll in late afternoon through the evening. Her lawn needs mowing. Strong winds and rain with thunderstorms. Yes, that’s our day again. More rain. Shore area gets to be feeling that 60 mph wind. Thankfully, our area is less wind mph, but high enough, as 25 to 30 mph still could knock tree and tree branches down, given the soggy two days we had so far. Hmm, my phone gives me 50 to 80 chances of rain every hour from 8 am today, until midnight. Sigh. Another rainy day. That trash cans sitting overnight after rolling to the curb, most likely in rainy weather, will certainly be wet by the time the trucks come around early in the morning tomorrow.

Ah, that rerun and ads and some new European or Asian shows to watch in this early hours. Tea. Yep, even though I turned up the heat, I still drink my tea hot. And it’s good today. Got a new kind of tea leaf mix from the tea store I go to in the city. She thought I’d like it. I like it. I tend to stick to the one mix she does for me, but it’s nice to try something else sometimes. Not sure I’d buy again, but nice of her to get me to try a little different tea mix.

Thus, a busy Pumpkin, yay for new decor, and ugh to work business. Well, did that half day of fishing mean fish dinner tonight? Hope they got a nice amount for your pantry.

Ah that day of relaxing it is today. And since older one works, by the time little one wakes, it will be us only girls left in the house. I think we are going to see my sister today. Will call her later, to see what she is doing. By the time we shopped around last Sunday, we weren’t near her to stop in at a reasonable time. So hoping today. Will see what little one wants to do.

Ooh I think I will get more tea.

Have a most lovely Sunday. May it find you relaxing and enjoying the day.

Good Sunday morning everyone

Carole have a wonderful trip to Universal. The Minions are waiting for you. I hope Kyle gets good news that he is able to get into the marathon that he wants.

Happy belated Anniversary to Mac and Mr Mac.

Did get my rosemary bread baked and I baked 2 focaccias,
Bread looked yummy.

Robo, hope you and family are doing well, and you get to enjoy some coffee in your HHN mug.
Thank you, Lynne. I have my HHN coffee mug full this morning. Hope you are enjoying your tea this morning.

Adventure is nice & relaxing, a bit sterile for my liking for lack of a better term. Suits it’s purpose for quickie get away
I wondered what the rooms were like.

booked Aventura for September. I thought about Cabana Bay, but decided Aventura might have less children. I would really like to stay at Sapphire Falls again, but the price wasn’t right.
Keep watching the prices a AP rate might show up for your date.

Nothing like a quick last minute trip to say goodbye to Poseidon`s Fury!!!
Strangely I’am kinda of sad to see it go. I think it has more to do with the nostalgic loss of another feature of the original park. Times are a changing and I know it is necessary to move forward.

Another really sad day today. I can't remember if I posted this or not. Three days ago I heard that my former youth minister from the church I attended in high school was hospitalized and in serious condition. He is a cancer survivor (I didn't know that at the time) but for the past few months he had been hospitalized with Covid pneumonia several times. This time it was very serious and he has been on a ventilator. I just got word that he passed away this morning. He leaves behind a wife, but I am not sure if he has any children.
Sorry to hear of your former youth ministers passing.

appreciated.

Need to get house picked up, 40th BD dinner for DiL tomorrow. Found the most beautiful porterhouse steaks Yesterday at a far flung market. Haven’t made them in years. Not a prime rib to be found anywhere in area for some reason.
Sounds like you scored some nice steaks. I‘am sure your dinner for your DIL will be a hit. Happy Birthday to your DIL.

Walmart had the Panera broccoli cheddar soup on sale today.

Guess what I am having for dinner tonight…

My older sister told me about the ready made soups at Walmart a while back. I have tried a few and they are good.

I had quoted a number of folks and all of them did not show up. Not sure what happened.

We have 3 graduations coming up in the Sans family. Lynne’s daughter, Charade and her daughter B. Looking forward to seeing some pictures of the happy occasions.

disneyseniors good to hear you had a nice trip to Tennessee it is beautiful there.

Pumpkin congratulations to you and your hubby on the purchase of your new truck.

UC has flared up so have not felt like doing much past number of days. I have been through this many times in past so no surprises. I did get to the grocery store yesterday. So I felt that was an accomplishment.

Keep my older sister in your prayers. Her husband passed away. He was in hospice at home, but she was devastated when he passed. I think you try to prepare for such things, but it is still hard. So hard to see a sibling hurting so bad.

He was a Veteran and will be buried at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. She does not have a date yet for the service so when it is decided our family will be there for her.

Granddaughter had to make the decision to have one of her dog babies put down. Tyson had lymphoma and they did everything to keep him comfortable. So sad to see them hurting over the loss of their precious pooch. I admire them for their love and dedication to their pooches.

We have had weather that has been cooler here. We went from mid to upper 80’s to low 60’s. I think it sounds like everyone has had weather that is all over the place this past couple of weeks.

I have been watching my little buddy J on Mondays past couple of weeks. I will sit with him tomorrow too. I have a few things to pull together for him today so I don‘t forget to bring them tomorrow. I have a Lil Boo sippy I purchased at HHN and a light of Oogie Boogie cup, a Artemis t-shirt from KSC for him and some Albanese gummie bears. He gets a couple of those for a treat sometime. I always look forward to baby sitting him. He is so sweet.

I did a nice bit of shopping for Christmas and Birthdays while in Orlando a number of weeks ago so going to try and get those things sorted and do a little wrapping and have things ready to go in my gift closet. Never hurts to be organized.

Think we will go out to lunch. I have have been eating mostly soup so I’am ready for something different. We have some nice options close by so will choose one of those I think.

It was over cast and gloomy yesterday. The sun is peaking through a little this morning so that is a good sign. I might go out in the yard for a little while.

Going to try and plan a getaway to Universal for the summer. Have not settled on dates yet. Will have to come up with a possible dates that might work.

Shout out to all our missing Sans family Tink, Patty, Monyk, RFF and all the rest. Hope you all are doing well.

Healing prayers to all that are in need of them.

Robo, sympathy to your sister. Never easy to loose your spouse. I hope she finds some peace and comfort from her family and friends in the days to come. Also I am so sorry to hear of granddaughter’s dog passing. Hard when they are part of the family. Sending lots of hugs her way. Have fun with little J, as sweet of you to gift him those items. How cute he is. Nice to see him every Monday now. Finally, ack to not feeling well, with your AC flair. I hope you are feeling better. I say pleasant weather with the 80’s.

Hehe I have been saying I will buy a place in FLA some day. Little one asked when. I think around when I retire. Said maybe a one or two bedroom. I don’t need a big place. She said at least two bedrooms, as knows we will only be part time residents, so she and older one would probably like to stay there too. Well to be fair, I will not rent, only allow family and friends to use. And so, that’s on the years from now bucket list.

Sister called. She’s a bit North of me, so she’s been getting a wintery mix. Luckily, I’m am further from the mountains than her, and life between two very large rivers. So while we do get a good amount of snow, we get less then her most times. I get that cool feeling rain. In pants and will be wearing my jacket if we go. At least my car has heated seats. Yep, while only use them in the cooler months, nice to use when cool feeling and damp feeling.

Ooh my phone still flashes tornado warnings in Orlando. Saw from Facebook, when asked if that included where the universal parks are, and many said no. So all depends where in the Orlando area.,

Time to see if little one is decent when I ask her if she wants to visit her aunt today.

Hope all are have dryer weather than me. Warner too. 54 degrees out, with a flood watch until 6 pm tomorrow. Sigh. Rainy end and start to May.

Hi Pumpkin:

I know what you mean about hockey! You must live in the North too, LOL.
Hockey is King around here, but I can't seem to get into it. I love football and baseball too.

Congrats on finishing your redo of that area. It sounds nice and it does make you feel much better when it's done.

Have a nice Sunday:)

I am taking it easy today due to fibro and arthritis inflammation. I did manage to iron my material for the cafe curtain and valance I am making for the laundry room. I did the measurements and hope I figured it out right. Math is not easy for me, LOL.

Nobody polished off their steaks…all went home with doggie bags woof woof. That cake was excellent & I can’t complain about the Sam’s cheesecake. pretty sure it’s the same stuff served in most restaurants, well, except for Cheesecake Factory.

lol i am a fool for any type of cheese cake

a let down TBH, we’ve stayed in many modern decor sort. They just read sterile to me. Still, the price was right lol. What I found funny was the complementary upgrade to VB view…um, yes but also parking garage deck with noisy AC units. Still, happy to be there as the price was surely right lol

that’s a wicked combo of hurt, sorry. The cold weather has to be a real bear for you.

Quick check in……

Don‘t listen to the doom and gloom merchants who enjoy imagining others having bad weather when in Orlando, it’s glorious here!

Had one of the best travel days we’ve ever had…….slept so well as I usually don’t the night before a flight, but not having to check in early was actually lovely. Enjoyed a leisurely breakfast in the Executive lounge then there was no line at check in, no line for security, plane left on time and it was the larger, newer plane….we had so much leg room in the Premium seats. Cabin crew were fabulous, flight was less than 9 hours and food was decent, good IFE and we picked up a nice rental car!

Our boy Raphael checked us in, marvellous to see him again, massive hugs all round and two of the managers came out to welcome us as they had wanted to meet us after hearing so many nice things about us, always nice to hear!

Suite is lovely, came into some lovely goodies including a bottle of fizzy…….and it’s now 10pm here which is 3am for us…….bed soon!

mac, Janet, Ruth and Maria……I will catch up soon!!!

It’s good to be home!

Yay! Schumi made it safe. Glad to hear.

Ooh we have been in that yellow color on weather radar. Quiet the noisy downpour we have been having. Means time for ved for me. Little one said she slept better last night. Yeah it rained all last night. Maybe tonight too.

Good night all. Yay waking up to a Monday, but at least means the time to turn the calendar to May. Yay!

It's a beautiful Sunday evening here. The weather has been glorious! Work was quiet...and was an easy day. I was able to complete all my tasks with very few interruptions. No...not fish were brought home. There are quite strict restrictions on sizes and number of fish they could keep. But they sure had fun catch and releasing them.

Quick check in…
:wave2: I'm glad you arrived!!!!!

Well, I should head out. I want to watch the new episodes of FireFly Lane on Netflix. I loved the books!!! If anyone is looking for an amazing read, that is on my favorites list.

Have a great evening everyone

I should be sleeping but I took a nap this afternoon, so I am wide awake now. I just got the grade on my last assignment, so now I can start putting everything together for my research project. I want to have that finished and submitted by Friday. On Saturday dh and I are going out of town to see a comedian. We plan to stay overnight.

I hope this coming week is better than the last. Yesterday I heard from a friend in North Carolina. Her husband had a heart attack and the situation is pretty bad. He is currently on a heart pump. I think he's only around 49 or 50.

I finished my little project ls night. Redecorated a a small little area, with a little bit of peel and stick wallpaper, new clock and a few other little things. I love it! Looks exactly like I wanted. Now to get things together so that I can do a mini makeover for our bedroom.
Congrats on finishing. It's alway nice to get something arranged how you want it.

i will make a cheese cake for anyone that want that wants one
ME! I'll take one.

Keep my older sister in your prayers. Her husband passed away. He was in hospice at home, but she was devastated when he passed. I think you try to prepare for such things, but it is still hard. So hard to see a sibling hurting so bad.
Prayers for your sister and her family.

Prayers also for your granddaughter.

Hehe I have been saying I will buy a place in FLA some day.
You can be one of the snowbirds that we used to make fun of when we lived in FL.

a let down TBH, we’ve stayed in many modern decor sort. They just read sterile to me. Still, the price was right lol. What I found funny was the complementary upgrade to VB view…um, yes but also parking garage deck with noisy AC units. Still, happy to be there as the price was surely right lol
That's a little disappointing to hear since I am staying there in September. Oh well, as long as the room is clean and comfortable I will be okay.

It’s good to be home!
Yay! Back in your happy place.

I should try to get some sleep. Goodnight all.

charade
That is scary news of the friend having the heart attack at a young age…
Do hope he has a good recovery.

Oh Charade, sending good thoughts to your friend. Scary as so young is her husband. And I’m like you, as long as room is clean and not noisy in the overnight, and I’m good. Keep checking. Still time to change if you see a better rate.

Currently 51 degrees. And the rain is not done. Saying showers late afternoon. And weather news this morning said we will be below average temps all week. Hello Mother Nature, I’d like those mid 70’s and 80’s we see in May soon. Yeah in low 50’s until we see low 60’s high temps for the weekend. But at least the 10 day forecast seems to show 70’s next week. So maybe just maybe more and above average temps the rest of the year.

Ah the sound of trash trucks soon enough. We did that drag those cans in thankfully just a light rain. Impressive the length and loudness of that rain dump around 10 pm last night. And my lunchtime walk will be with my light winter jacket. A steady 16 mph wind makes it a breezy day, with it making it feel like in the 40’s. Sigh.

IMG_1504.gif

Yay! While still having that ugh it’s a Monday feeling, that cardinal is singing again, and at least the clouds in the sky are not carrying rain yet, feels okay. We’re in a May now. That means the almost every month a holiday lazy day starts. Woot!

Hey all. Back for a five night pit stop. Yesterday got to drive two kids to work due to vehicles in the shop, on a few hours sleep. Zombie moms, join me🧟‍♀️ Good sleep last night Was most appreciated.

Need to get house picked up, 40th BD dinner for DiL tomorrow. Found the most beautiful porterhouse steaks Yesterday at a far flung market. Haven’t made them in years. Not a prime rib to be found anywhere in area for some reason.

worfi - darn it, didn’t realize you were at U, maybe next time can catch you to say hey

great weekend all!

Yes, Aventura holds no appeal for us whatsoever, but….you still had a good trip. I think we’ll go up just for some view pictures at Bar17, but that’s about it.

I hope this coming week is better than the last. Yesterday I heard from a friend in North Carolina. Her husband had a heart attack and the situation is pretty bad. He is currently on a heart pump. I think he's only around 49 or 50.

Congrats on finishing. It's alway nice to get something arranged how you want it.

ME! I'll take one.

Prayers for your sister and her family.

Prayers also for your granddaughter.

You can be one of the snowbirds that we used to make fun of when we lived in FL.

That's a little disappointing to hear since I am staying there in September. Oh well, as long as the room is clean and comfortable I will be okay.

Yay! Back in your happy place.

I should try to get some sleep. Goodnight all.

More sad news, sorry to hear that.

Thank you, we certainly have been made to feel we are home for sure.

This is our lazy day today……get used to the time difference and grab what we need from Publix and most surely catch up with some friends today and throughout our trip.

It’s wonderful to be back with Kyle, it’s wonderful to be back!!!

Lazy start to the day, slept really well and didn’t wake up up at 2am wide awake as I usually do. Will get up soon and looking forward to breakfast and the start of our trip. Everyone here tells us the worst of the bad weather is over…….had someone tell us what it’s like back home……truthfully, I don’t give a rats patootie what weather anyone else is getting most of the time…….but when we’re here, who gives a hoot!!

Have a good Monday :)

Awake too early again today. Thanks Caspian. After work I will be stopping by B’s dorm to start bringing stuff home. These 4 years have just flown by.

Keep checking. Still time to change if you see a better rate.
I’ve been checking but I doubt Sapphire Falls will drop to anything close to my Aventura rate. If it does I will happily change. I also keep checking flights. If the rates from my airport drop a little more I will see if I can change my flight. It will be worth paying a little more to not have to drive to Richmond.

A lazy day and you are still awake and posting before me. We finally got smart and scheduled a lazy day in the middle of our Disney vacation.

I keep checking the Universal Hollywood site and they still haven’t posted the park hours for June. We leave 1 month from today.

Yeah when we went to Disneyland, years ago now, they didn’t post hours very far ahead. I guess the West Coast is different as to how parks are run. Woot to your upcoming trip, Charade. Poor Caspian. Maybe he needs another cat to keep him busy.

Ah the sun has come out. With the uv level low, I’m going to wear suntan lotion on my face if stays sunny or bright for my lunchtime walk. Ah even this time of year here, I still can get red.

Wheee it’s a Monday. And heard the first of the trash trucks by 7 am. Guess we are one of the first streets.
